Part-1
Unboxing Faded Memories
Vishakha was packing clothes for
Rohan.. He was adamant to attend his brother's wedding. She was furious .
Sameer had called but it wasn't for her. He had called to invite Rohan and
Deepika for the wedding. One call from him and Rohan was all set to go.
She was hurt not because Rohan was going to be there with Sameer but because Sameer
did not mention even once about his desire for her to be there with him on his
biggest day.
Vishakha- Sameer to Sameer , uski us Naina ne bhi ek baar bhi nahi socha. Chal
pade hain dono shadi karne. To karo. Mujhe kya.. Mujhe kyun bura lag raha hai.
Rohan was observing his
mother and heard her muttering. He held her hands and made her sit .
Vishakha-
Rohan kya hai.. Bahut kaam hai . Hato.. Jaane do mujhe.
Rohan-
Mumma ek baat batao. Sameer ki shadi me na jaane ka decision aapka hai na. To
phir aap itne upset kyun ho ?
Vishakha-
Nahi to. Mai upset kyun hungi.
Rohan smiles.
Rohan-
Shakal dekhi hai aapne apni. Ab batao kya pareshan kar raha hai aapko.
Vishakha-
Ye jo ladka hai na. Jise tum apna bhai kehte ho. Ye mujhse dur chala gaya hai
Us ladki ki wajah se.Aur dekhna ek din ye sabse door chala jaayega aur phir woh
chalaak ladki iska saath chhod degi. Mai Sameer ko us dard se bachana chaahti
hoon. Mai nahi chaahti ki woh phir se...
Rohan -
Aur aapko aisa kyun lagta hai ki bhabhi bhai ka saath chhod dengi?
Vishakha-
Paisa beta.. Paisa aapke paas hai to sab aapke saath hain. Paisa nahi to kucch
nahi.
Rohan-
Ye baat aap bol rahe ho mummy? Paise se aur khoon se bhi bada to dil ka rishta
hota hai. Aur ye baat aapse behtar kaun samajhta hai. Aapka aur mera na khoon
ka rishta hai na paise ka. par kya aap aur mai ek dusre ko kabhi bhi mushkil
waqt me chhod sakte hain?
She smiled and kept her
hand on his head.
Vishakha- Kabhi
nahi beta par humari baat alag hai. Sameer to us ladki ke liye pata nahi kyun
puri duniya se lad pada hai. Aur woh ladki..
Cutting it in between.
Rohan-
Baat alag kaise hui? Baat to dil ki hai na? Aapne mujhe tab sambhala jab mai
akela pad gaya tha ,jab mujhe pyaar ki sabse zyada zarurat thi aur aapne mere
dil me apni ek kabhi na mitne waali jagah banayi. Aur aaj agar koi mujhe aur
aapko alag karne ki baat kahe to mai aapke liye puri duniya se bhi lad sakta
hoon. Waise hi Naina bhabhi ne bhai ko tab sambhala jab woh akele the, jab unko
pyaar chahiye tha jo woh shayad aapme dhund rahe the. Aur jab unko woh pyaar
unse mila to bhabhi ne bhai ki zindagi me ek aisi jagah banayi jo shayad kabhi
koi aur nahi bana sakta bas isiliye bhai bhi bhabhi ke liye puri duniya se
ladne ke liye ready ho gaye. Isme woh galat kaise hue?
Vishakha was lost in his
words. He was making sense but somewhere she wasn't convinced. Deep down her
heart she knew Naina loves her son but she wasn't ready to trust her.
Rohan-
Aur baat paise ki kaise hui mumma? Bhai jisne sab kucch chhod diya hai aur
woh kisi bhi maayne me kam hain bhai ke liye?
Sameer's words rang in her
mind " Mummy aap apni aankho se shaq ki patti hata ke dekho. aapko bhi
naina me koi kami nahi nazar aayegi"
Rohan-
Woh Maths ke sir kehte hain na. Solution dhundne se pehle ye analysis karo ki
actual problem kya hai tabhi sahi solution niklega.
He left his thoughtful
mother behind. She wasnt yet sure what to believe and what not to.
Doorbell rang. She went to
open and found a postman standing there with a letter for her.
She opened it and found it
was a letter from Naina.
Dear
Mummy ji,
Aapki
beti
Naina
She read the last words but
was furious so she closed the envelope and kept it in her drawer.
She din't want anything to
do with the girl who was the reason of the differences between her and her son.
She was missing her father
a lot today. If he would have been there he would definitely have guided
her and Sameer as well.
She went to the store where
some of her father's belongings were kept in a trunk which she had never opened
because it would have broken her. Her father was always her hero and losing him
was not easily acceptable. That day she gathered some courage and opened the
box. It had his specs case, his and her photograph , his shawl and her
mother's saaree, Sameer's and his photograph and a diary.
She opened the diary and
two envelopes came out falling from it.
Names written on it were
To,
My Daughter Vishakha
And another
To,
My Daughter Naina
Tears were brimming out of
her eyes when she finally was sure that his father was aware of Naina and
Sameer. And addressing her as his daughter was a proof that he was fond
of her.
He always use to mention "Meri sirf ek hi beti hai" and here Naina
had managed to acquire a space in his heart as well.
She opened the letter which
was addressed to her and started to read.
