Every actor puts in a lot of effort to essay their roles with elan. But what if the makers do not give the actors their due?

A similar case has happened with television actor Raj Singh, who essays the role of Mayank (Mauli's brother) in the show Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. The actor got in touch with TellyChakkar and expressed his disappointment with his character in the show.

Raj said that he is really unsatisfied playing the role of Mayank in the series. He feels that so far he has not been used properly in the story. He thinks that Mauli's family should have been an important part in the story because she has gone through so much pain and sorrows. He also feels that the family should have been there to support her.

He further stated that Mauli is very close to Mayank but Mayank and his family has not been utilized at this crucial stage of Mauli's life. He wishes that post the leap, the story focuses on his character.

This is true,mauli's family should have played a significant role after the revelation,they did not show even one scene of her father's or brother's reaction..not after the revelation to mauli,not during dida's heart attack phase,not after mauli and others got to know about pregnancy and not even after kunal left forever and mauli decided to stay with his family.

They gave few scenes to mauli's mother and of course mothers who ask daughters to forgive their husband's cheating or violence exist but the execution could have been more realistic IMO..like her mother could have been shown to genuinely feel for mauli and we could have got some mom-daughter scenes and then her mother could have been all "whatever happened is very sad but try and forget it." I think this is how it must play out in real life too,parents feel for the daughters if she faces violence or cheating but it is not big enough reason for them to file for a divorce.

I think low trps and budget control measures made them cut the role of these actors,nobody from nandini's family was ever shown either.TRPs spoil everything.

Completely agreed,,, Mauli should have moved to her parents house for sometime and then to a new and kept contact to both the families... She should have met Ishan through her brother it would be more acceptable or atleast like she met him in the new city...

Completely agree with the actor. It made no sense why mauli's family weren't shown at such a crucial stage in her life.

ohhh!! he is so right about it..

i know they couldnt have ignored mauli's mother interference in her life but the actress playing her mother is going through a damn bad phase in her life.. may god give her strength..

but they could have used her brother's character post leap.. like supporting mauli in her decisions and apologizing on his mother's behalf for not understanding and supporting mauli..

they used her family..to bring close the divine lovers

Recall Mauli's brother's wedding ..and after bashed by her mom..Kunal &Nannu jee ka milan

This is nothing new. A lot of characters who is not the main character get sidelined as the show progresses. In balaji's kumkum bhagya even major character was sidelined by the story of pragya and abhimanyu. That's the reason why the actress playing bulbul exit the show.

they had planned to show kunal's sister n mauli's brother's love story.but they got so involved in kunan mauli track that they scrapped this track.so mauli's brother had no role on the show
