The star of premam is Alphonse Puthren and only a malayali can realize it in true sense.

For Hindi remake my suggestions are
I can't think of any one other than RS for George.
Ananya pande for Mary.
Kiara/Yami Goutam as Malar?
Disha Patel for Celine.

RANVEER and Yami as George and Miss Malar would be PERFECT.

As Mary, Shraddha maybe.

As Celine, Mithila maybe. Or Kiara because she is younger than Veer.

Premam is my most favourite Mallu film. I fell in love with Nivin

Ranveer as George. Sonam Kapoor as Malar because without makeup the way Malar was in the original movie, Sonam is the only one that looks normal no great beauty types. And she fits the bill age wise also.

Yami's model good looks wont work in this role and she looks younger than Ranveer.

Alia can be Celine.

Jhanvi can be Mary.

Even if it's real, I am not comfortable.

Extra marital affairs are so common nowadays but we won't feel comfortable watching an EMA portrayed as some paak rishta.

Apart from the student-teacher angle another issue I had was I couldn't understand why and how Malar fell for George..she was supposed to be mature,wiser, poised woman but i couldn't digest her falling for a thug student and leading him on since day one..it made her look like a cheap woman for me..That jasmine scene made me cringe..If it was like she initially trying to stop his advances then gradually developing feelings for him seeing his sincere love ,then finally giving in, then it would have looked descent..
