Adultery is immoral and unethical period, nothing can change the fact not even these rules.

There you said it,  it's immoral nd unethical but not criminal. That's the difference stricking of this section has brought. A lot of things come in that category of immoral and unetgical but not criminal.
Maritl rape is criminal,  unethical and immoral and yet it's not a criminal offence in India.

People are misunderstanding the verdict.

The Supreme Court has only said that women are not the possession of their husbands, so the husband of a cheating wife cannot file a case against his wife's lover.

Section 497 was a regressive law which stated that only cheated husbands could sue the wife's lover (but not the cheated wives against husband's mistress, mind you). It was right to discard such a biased and misandrist/misogynist law.

Competely agreed. Imagine a law from 1860 continued till date. The review was necessary and stricking it down at this age and time was all the more important.

And to be honest, adultery is morally wrong in most cases, but it cannot be made illegal because that's plain ridiculous.

The law cannot and should not interfere in peoples' personal lives. It also violates the right to privacy which became a fundamental right in 2017.

If we leave the moral and emotional quotient out of the picture, then kunal and Nandini are not doing anything wrong. It is rajdeep, mauli  and society who are interfering in others personal lives.
So there is nothing that Kunan are doing is wrong.
As for mauli ,it was mauli's decision to give a second life to snake Nandini and nibhao  friendship.Nandini never gave two hoots to mauli's friendship neither she needs to.

Oh dear. It's the legal angle that is being talked about. Court can not make two people stay in marriage against their wishes.
Verdict deals with legalities of this not with other aspects. Other aspects very much remain intact when it comes to EMA.
The law was grossly biased in favor of men and in this case only Rajdeep could have used it for his own skewed motives.

No, it's Mauli's personal life involved in this too. Rajdeep's too, except that he's a criminal.

Read my post again; I said adultery is morally wrong, but it should not be illegal. You're confusing legality with morality.

The court was always with Kunan. i.
There was never any law for the wife to sue her husband for cheating on her. It was only for the men to sue their wife's lover under this. Which means only Rajdeep had the power to sue Kunal for adultery. Mauli never had any legal rights to sue Kunal nor Nandini. So lets be glad SC decided that men do not own their wives that they can sue people if they have a relationship with their wives without their consent. Much like woman who never had the right of owning their husbands and just had to bear the pain of watching their husband move on with another woman or cheat on them.

You people are talking about the show.Atleast it is still a SHOW at the end which is pathetic.
But now think of the real life. Now some morons can easily cheat on their wives and then claim they were not happy .No guilt of punishment,Only rassleela where the innocent one has to suffer.

There would be day when we will have live in a world where things like moral trust, loyalty won't even exist.
