Watched the movie today, it was quite good, found it very interesting and topical since electricity problem is STILL a major issue in Indian small towns. In big cities its not as bad as used to be in our younger days, when load shedding was a daily occurence.
Shahid did a great job, loved his performance. He is a really good actor but has terrible luck where BO is concerned.
Shraddha acted quite well as the ditzy fashion designer, Tehri ka Kim Kardashian 😆, She looked very pretty, shes getting better recently with each film, this one and Stree.
Divyendu suited his role of the unassuming sincere guy.
The courtroom scenes were dramatic, except for the cheap sexist shots SK took at Advocate Rizvi played by Yami, she hardly had any scope for acting or good dialogues, so utterly wasted.
The songs were good, 2 of them are hits since I hear them on the radio everyday, "Sochta hoon ke wo kitney masoom the" and the "Gold and Tamba" song which has really funny lyrics.
Loved feasting my eyes on the beautiful scenery of UK😆 (Uttarakhand) and the evocative Ganga Aarti at night ❤️
What was that Bal Bal everyone was saying at the end of each sentence? 😕
Thank goodness there were English subtitles here or else I would not understand half the dialogues in the Garhwali dialect
The last scene was epic, co-passengers Vikas and Kalyan hanging onto their lives over the ravine, while the townsfolk wait for them to arrive- what a Satirical punchline 😆👏
Also liked the fact that the girl did not change her choice in the end.
And those 2 are the very reasons why movie did not succeed...the ending did not make public happy though it made sense.
Will rate it 3 out of 5, satisfied with the movie experience overall.
