Remember, he isn’t a bad father, he was but realised his mistakes and moreover there’s no chance for a custody battle and thirdly he doesn’t love Ishita, don’t hate her as well.. Is it out of pity or is he guilt ridden for the aborted marriage...

Ishita is a nervous wreck and understandably so as she was forced into the marriage.. Most importantly, she wasn’t mentally prepared to face Adi nor nurture him... IshRa’s lives are in an entangled mess with odds against their favour.. 

Raman’s assurance to Mr Iyer was satisfying but it was slightly weird for him to suggest Ishita to relocate to Iyers’ house if she wasn’t ready to accept Adi was weird... If not today, tomorrow both Adi and Ishita should accept and live together, after all she is Mrs Raman Kumar Bhalla and this was evident in her riposte...

I ardently wish that Mr Iyer’s proclamation of Raman being the best suitor for Ishita comes true...
