Soo much, that she used to bribe her topper best friend with lovely homemade dishes, so that she gets a little more motivated towards her dream of becoming a doctor! There was no hope for her in studies and the family was patriarchal, so she was married off soon! We all know what happened to her for 6 years of her married life and finally she showed the courage to say that she doesn't want to live with her abusive husband anymore! Credit to the one life, she lost in her womb and the one life who came back to her closest sphere after 7 years! But living in a friend's house and depending on them can't be a permanent solution for her, even if that friend is more like a sister and her new family takes her as a family too! She decides to move out with the help of the jewelries given by her mom, long back in her wedding! She wants to buy a place to live for herself with that (the total cost for a decent place in Mumbai will be about 20 to 25 lakhs I guess), but what is she gonna do for living? She has no qualification that can get her a decent job! Aaj kal to dance sikhane ke liye bhi parents of kids look for reality show winners or degree from a reputed gharana! What's she gonna do then... there is one thing- she knows how to cook, so, either she can cook at someone's house or she can teach people how to cook! 2nd option seems more legit! And here we are, proud to present, chef Nandini's cooking classes! Thanks to Malhotras that they could put enough confidence in her that at least she agreed to start this class! We all love eating and knowing how to cook your favorite dish, lifts your dependence on others for serving the food! And it started! Earning money in this kind of work is hard! But at least it gives enough financial support for the confidence to grow! And with hard work, she can actually earn enough to completely support herself financially and go for more!
I really loved the way Nandini is being shown to go and buy things for the 1st day of her cooking class and will hope that in future, the makers will show that she is continuing this! Not full-fledged episodes, just hints that she is doing it...
