Simply LOVED your perspective, Lady!! 👏 (hope you are one)! 😆

What a FANTASTIC take on Aditya's definition of Love...or rather, "Bepannaah Pyaar", considering as to how you have very rightly described his equation with Pooja

Totally LOVED your take on his privileged background...which has allowed him to remain the bachha that he always has
To add to that, the disturbed equation of his parents...had scarred him rather early on in his life...in his most impressionable years, really...
And maybe that's why the only other people who he has genuinely cared for in his life other than Zoya...have been Arjun and Sakshi...love in a different dynamic of course...

And finally, your ANALYSIS of Zoya's 'way forward'...is amongst the BEST that I have come across, really!
How wonderful it will be to see Zoya evolve in this manner...if Zoya's simplicity were to meet Kashaf's (of ZGH) angst...in a different paradigm! 😳
If you're on social media, it might be a good idea to share your take with the creatives...
Will be absolutely REFRESHING to watch the Zoya and Aditya unfold in this manner...
And JenShad will just SLAY it!

Thanks for such a lovely response...was a totally gratifying experience! 😳

Hope to interact with you again, and soon! 😃

Cheers!
DocD

Oh thank you 😳

I am indeed a lady...a lady who sometimes gets a little too big for her boots 😆

I really hope the writers approach the story the way I feel they should because as you said JenShad will blow us away in these scenes.

Hope to interact with you again, as well. 😃

I haven't read the story but want to. I remember reading that the movie 'Lootera' was based on this. Haven't watched the movie either but looked like something I would want to watch.😆

Exactly! Siddiqui family is a lot normal and has love as their base compared to the Hoodas. It definitely shows in the person Zoya has grown to be.

A.1 It is in fact endearing the way they address each other. Maybe its the actors as well, who elevate a simple addressal and make it meaningful.

A.2 I am glad I give you the impression of having a classy taste. I have religiously followed few shows in the past which do not necessarily count as being a class apart.
ZGH though was my second Pakistani show and I loved how different it was from the shows on ITV. A crisp story-line and well-fleshed out characters; it does help that these shows are finite with 25 or so episodes. I don't think I can pin-point to one scene that is my favorite cos I can re-watch the whole series. The one that comes to mind though is not a confrontation scene; it's when Kashaf writes about her new found feelings for Zaaroon in her diary as she watches him sleep in her mother's house.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjeOhbOdxxQ
Everything she says gives me goosebumps especially that line towards the end of the scene which goes, "tum mujhe sange marmar samajhte ho to samajhte raho... mein tumhare aage rait ki deewaar nahi ban sakti. mujhe tut jaane se khauf aata hai"💔

Hey dp!
🤗 🤗 🤗

For starters, please read "The Last Leaf" and watch "Lootera"...neither the book nor the movie will disappoint you! :)
In fact, considering your command over the language, appears to me, that you're an avid reader...will, thus, recommend the entire collection of short stories by O Henry...will definitely be worth your time!😃

In fact, immediately after I responded to your earlier post, I realized that I had forgotten to make a mention of your wonderful observations of the moments that followed post Aditya's rescue of Zoya...that was indeed a beautifully done scene...am I the only one who experienced "Jack-Rose" feels in the entire sequence...there something ethereal about it...right from the way JenShad looked to the way in which they emoted...to the BG score, especially when Aditya thinks he has almost lost Zoya, and she says "Sorry"! Thereafter, as you so rightly mention, the caresses...those few seconds were enough to tell us what AdiYa have come to mean to each other...
Superlative stuff, really! 👏

And finally, thank you so much, for making my Sunday, by helping me revisit one of my ABSOLUTELY favourite scenes from ZGH...this scene was EPIC...from the writing to the acting...just TOP CLASS! Sanam Saeed was STELLAR in this show! ⭐️
You know what, always felt that Kashaf's diary and Zaroon's laptop were characters in themselves...such was the power of the screenplay...can't imagine ZGH without them, really!

Will wait to hear from you, and soon! 😃

So, you are an EDKV fan as well! Not surprised, at all, really! 😊 ShraMan were indeed special!
But I don't remember seeing you on the forum! Sigh!

Totally agree with your opinion on EDKV...it was around that time after Shravan's 'stepbrother' entered the show, when I finally gave up! Was pulling on for the longest time!

This is a constant with almost all ITV shows that I have watched, save for this wonderful slice of life entertainer called "Bade bhaiya ki dulhaniya" which was just TOP RATE from start to finish! ⭐️

Only hope and pray that BP can keep us hooked till the very end...

Take Care, my Dear...

Beautiful insights and suggestions on the way forward.Common to all is the central theme of wanting a mature Aditya. His unsettled childhood growing without a father ...may be the reason he was close to Sakshi his best friend's mother ...seeing a relationship between mother and daughter he did not find in his own home...on a side track it is possible Sakshi may have had a hand in influencing the union between Aditya & Pooja without the two of them really being in love ...leave alone bepanah love. She may have found that as a good ploy to move into the comfort of the grand Hooda mansion and ensure a great life for her daughter.I have always had this feeling that it is Sakshi who is the real villain in this saga. She seems to impress everyone with her love and humility which I think is false.Even Arjun rushes to her house for shelter when he has a tiff with his father.
Coming back to Aditya, his disturbed childhood did not allow him to grow with a maturity and a sense of responsibility required of the eldest child .Childhood situations affect children differently ...some become overly responsible & protective eg Asad in Qubool Hai ...but most succumb and often live in a fantasy world to escape their troubled environment.Aditya had the comfort of an affluent home where he did not have to work but could live in style. He definitely developed a flaw in his character in childhood that makes him run away from responsibilty.Unlike Arjun he did not become a lawyer to work with his father but became a pilot ...a profession that allowed him to symbolically fly away from troubled ground. Zoya has discovered this flaw in his character of escapism and she is the one that ekes responsibilty out of him...he is there to help her whenever she is in trouble ..even upto the the extent of coercing his father to save both or none.

So Zoya is certainly the catalyst in this wonderful story developing so beautifully. But we do not know much about her growing up years beyond the fact that it looks like a happy family. Yet she rebelled and married. So it is possible we are yet to learn some secrets about her childhood that may reveal some angst.

I am totally in agreement with the suggestion that Zoya does not have to marry. In fact I am all for it. and would love for that to happen.Zoya has changed .She is a strong girl with a mind of her own. She is a successful professional with total commitment to her work. She does not need marriage right now in her life. She needs to bury the ghosts of her past and come to terms with life. She will not marry just because her father has found a suitable boy...hoping the CVs draw a nice character sketch for Arshad. She will not marry Aditya either however much he may profess his bepanah pyar. she will accept both as good friends ...Aditya perhaps more as she sees the torture in his eyes and wants to help.Arshad may as yet become the dark horse ..a fine gentleman symbol of everything the opposite of Aditya. And then begins the real drama. Zoya as the protagonist subverting a control freak father wedded to tradition, breaking all rules to live her life the way she wants and above all helping her best friend to face the reality of his existence and not run away from truth. She will bring out the best in everyone.in the process she will win over Anjana's trust just as she did Madhu's ...not sure exactly how but suspect she is the one who will expose Sakshi as a scheming woman who has exploited Aditya's weaknesses to satisfy her ambition of getting her daughter married into wealth..many woman do that. The daughter meanwhile had her own desires and Aditya certainly was not a husband she wanted. A good friend but not the ideal companion and lover she was looking for as husband. This brought her into an extramarital relationship, one which Sakshi was aware of and made every attempt to stop.We see this in several snippets in early episodes. There are doubts and she adroitly explains each one of them to point the finger away from her daughter. some one in Hooda family ...most likely Mr Hooda himself is also aware of the underhand goings on and tries to protect his family's reputation to the best of his ability. It is also possible that when Sakshi discovers the Poosh affair and Pooja's decision to leave Aditya for Yash she meets Waseem in order to prevent it happening.

However the plot pans out in detail but I am inclined to believe this is the central theme.I bring it up here to explain how it will be Zoya who will unravel all this in her effort to get her BF Aditya out of his suffering. She will become both the detective as well as the healer. No doubt her allies will be Noor & Arjun...to provide some fun in this chase.

If the CVs develop the slot along similiar lines this may become the best show by miles.HC & JW are brilliant actors and have already erased the boundary between the real & the reel.Hoping Arshad too may be a good actor to bring some meat to a parallel role. There was talk of Vatsal Seth as Arshad but he has denied .May be the delay is because they are yet to decide who it will be. Difficult to bring in a third character at par with two amazing actors who have already made this show their own.ArNoor are a charming pair as well.Casting so far is near perfect except perhaps for the Rajveer interlude. that may be the precise reason to delay Arshad's arrival.

Looking forward to some great entertainment.

Hey @nayantara aka Hemanto!😛

Thanks so much for your detailed response...thoroughly enjoyed reading it! :)

For starters, absolutely LOVED the symbolism that you've attached to Aditya's choice of profession!

Also enjoyed reading your character sketch of Zoya...you know what, the real beauty of the way forward will lie in a well-written character for Arshad, and getting a strong actor to play him...someone who can withstand the histrionic onslaught of the powerhouse, that is JenShad! 😆

Will get mighty interesting if we're faced with this situation wherein Arshad is a thorough gentleman...Zoya has no logical reason to refuse Waseem's suggestion of Zoya getting married to him...and yet she can't get herself to reconcile to this decision...it's obviously not logical for her to do so, especially she is now in a state of "once bitten twice shy"...but yet, she simply can't...does her "azeez dost" Aditya have something to do with this...
Whoa! What a POWERFUL realization track that will be! 👏

The responses to this thread clearly outline one thing...the cumulative intellectual talent on this forum is truly mind-boggling!
Super stuff, really!

Take care...

Cheers!

The HEMANTO was a disaster username uploaded by husband dear stamping his imprint in any activity I enjoy and I certainly enjoyed it more than any other show ...and he was jealous! I am back after a long hiatus and changed that terrible pseudonym as soon as allowed.
A different time a different serial but one I loved more than any I have seen on ITV . It was KTLK (Kuchch Toh Log Kahenge) and I mention it here for several reasons.BP thrives on romance and KTLK was a superlative romantic show till they went haywire expanding it beyond reason. That is the second point...that I sincerely pray they do not murder BP the same way.Third is KTLK being an adaptation of a classic Pakistani show most have loved..Dhoop Kinare. I wonder how many of you have watched either KTLK or DK ?

They don't make them like that anymore.Crisp and well edited and ends when the story ends. That was Dhoop Kinare. But KTLK was another story altogether. as long as it was lifted almost scene for scene from DK it was super and the following was huge. There lies the bait ...why should the channel kill the golden goose ? Mohnish Bahl the excellent personification of the droolworthy Dr Ashutosh quit and the serial went haywire ...most committed fans left with MB.

Sharing all this to explain that it would not be a bad idea to conclude BP on a happy note instead of stretching it like stale bubble gum.

Zoya may have no logical reason except the most imperative one ...that she simply does not love Arshad as fine a gentleman as he may be.She is spirited enough to marry for love the first time going against her father and eloping👏.Now a more determined and independent Zoya , a successful professional most unlike her earlier timid self she is not going to succumb to pressure from a father whose only reason for her to marry is that he dislikes the Hoodas, specially Aditya. Zoya will handle this very well I am sure. She will establish a strong friendship with Arshad ...not squabble over him with her father but not ready yet to remarry. The father will have no option but to stand by and wait for her to make a decision. Meanwhile she will be BF with Aditya as well trying to heal his angst. He jusy might escape to Paris again till she connives to get him back again.

In the process Zoya the protagonist will work wonders bridging relationship gaps all around. and solve the murder mystery as well.

Hey Nayantara!

That's such a beautiful name, even if it may only be your user name! 😃

So you're a Dhoop Kinare fan as well! That's like so WOW! That was my entry point to Pakistani dramas, and boy o boy...was it a classic or what!!
Still remember it as a beautiful take on human relationships, although I had watched it an age, where I was still learning how to spell relationships correctly! Ok, that's an exaggeration! 😆

Now, coming to your views on how Arshad's character should be written...totally second your thoughts...sincerely don't want this to go down the cliched love triangle route; would much rather not have them introduce an actor to play Arshad then!

Will be interesting to see how all this pans out...only hope nothing is rushed...if not for anything else...for the sheer TALENT, that is JenShad! ⭐️

Chalo, have a great week ahead...
