Hello everyone, I am back again today with another post and this one is a poem dedicated to Zoya. She was just a trophy wife with Yash and I think her life has found a new meaning with Adi. Although the adage goes falling in love but love is when you rise together .i was reading my old poems and felt this was apt for Adiya, especially Zoya. Hope you guys like it.. Bouquets and brickbats always welcome..
The caged bird flies
She lay in the warmth of the cocoon
The eerie silence troubled her soul
Clangor of awakening made a deafening sound
She stirred and knew it was time
Her dreary eyes foraged for the light
Her body beat with surreal rhythm
She wanted to break out
She wanted to soar into the sky
To the flight of freedom
She gingerly took a step forward
Closed her eyes and took the leap of faith
She was falling, falling deep down into the abyss
Just then, a hand reached out of nowhere
He held her weightless form
Pulled her back to safety
She straddled to find her ground
He planted her feet firmly onto the ground
He helped her spread her wings
He let the Caged bird fly!
