Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan have kickstarted the shooting of Rohit Shetty's cop action film Simmba today. The makers just dropped the first look of Ranveer from the sets, where we can see him posing in swag along with her co-star Sara and filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar. Apart from the first look, they also shared a funny video, where Ranveer Singh delivers a powerful dialogue, "Me star police Sangram Bhalerao, jo deto traas, tyacha me gheto class. In the video, we also see Rohit Shetty intentionally calling Sara Ali Khan as mother Amrita Singh and runs away along with Ranveer Singh.

Talking about Ranveer Singh's look from Simmba, we must say the actor has nailed it with his swag, though his look doesn't resemble Junior NTR's Temper, which is the original film. In fact, the looks are completely different and we think Rohit Shetty has purposely done this to give the character and plot, the feel of a proper Bollywood masala film. Honestly, we feel, the look is a mixture of Akshay Kumar's Rowdy Rathore and Ajay Devgn's Singham. Don't you think so?

Coming back to Simmba, the film will be shot in Hyderabad, Goa and Mumbai and will be co-produced by Karan Johar. It is set to hit the screens on December 28. On the professional front, Ranveer has already wrapped up the shooting of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy which is set to hit the screens on February 14, 2019, during Valentine's day weekend. The film also stars Alia Bhatt in a lead role and is produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment. Post Simmba, Ranveer will start shooting for Kabir Khan's '83, where he will portray the character of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. It is scheduled to release on August 30, 2019.
