You are right. It was VERY VERY difficult - not because it was emotional... writing emotions is comparatively easy... for e.g. writing Akbar's scene was comparatively easy till the Shehzaade arrived.

However, writing simultaneous scenarios, with so many people, so much happening at the same time, and so many shifting emotions - is what is so difficult... i.e. getting the balance right...🤔

ETA - And after editing thrice, I still found a couple of typo-errors when I checked now

I was all ready to attempt Periyamma's quiz when I saw that nervous man.

An hour and 10 minutes for C49.

This was heroic Heera's chapter through and through.

All the events right from the arrival of troops, but before that her refusal to run away, abandoning her people , to her leaving Parnagarh the way she did , could they have been written any better than the way they were? Brilliant.

The Begum of Ustaad , how the truth was revealed -in front of her townspeople by enemies when she was at her most vulnerable state- Lashy Sahiba, you sure know how to make us catch our breath .

Will have to give C49 another two reads , of course, but it was an absolutely heart grabbing chapter.

No matter how long the update, it is never long enough and I literally gasped when I saw the red paragraph - couldn't believe that it had ended.

It was not C49 and C50 but still it was a two-parter!😳
