Huma Qureshi in Pink director's next.

After his acclaimed Bollywood debut, the
courtroom drama Pink (2016), director
Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury was in talks with
Priyanka Chopra for his second outing. But
that project didn't go beyond a few
discussions. Now, a source close to the
director tells us that he is working on
another script, which is almost ready. And
for this movie, he has approached Huma
Qureshi to be a part of the principal cast.
"Huma and Aniruddha met a few times, and
have spoken at length about this project. It's
a hard-hitting drama based on a real-life
incident, says the insider. Apparently, the
Badlapur (2015) actress has already given
her nod to the film. Its modalities are being
worked out, and Huma will sign on the
dotted line soon. "In all likelihood, the movie
will go on floors this year and an official
announcement is expected soon, the
source says.
