The first time he met her, he requested for a pic with her. Not only did she decline she said it in such a rude manner that the guy was embarrassed, as many of his colleagues were also nearby.
However as the karma goes, this guy again met Katrina Kaif after a few months. During the customs clearance process, he sent her for security check. She was a bit shocked and asked him "Don't you know who I am? Don't you watch movies?" To which the officer replied with authority "No i don't watch movies. GO over there for the check". She definitely needed some lessons in humility.
2.My 10-year-old cousin is a huge fan of hers for all the mass-y, masala movies he watches. He was very excited to go & meet her but we didn't want to disturb her or be rude. He told her he was a huge fan, told her she looked very pretty, & asked if he could get a selfie with her. Her reply? She looked at him with dead eyes said "Umm.. No Then banged her juice glass on the table, turned back to the girl sitting next to her, mumbled something inaudible with a disgusted expression & they walked away. Who talks to a child like that? We would have understood if she would have declined firmly or simply ignored. We were prepared for that. We weren't prepared for her to treat a 10-year-old fan like vermin.
Luckily Varun Dhawan & Parineeti Chopra were also there. [I think some Bollywood award function was being held in LA]. I don't know if they saw Katrina being rude to my cousin or they were just leaving the gym, but they came to the entrance of the gym where my cousin was standing all numb & heartbroken. Varun lifted my cousin in his arms & asked him if he recognized them. Both Parineeti & Varun talked very sweetly & nicely to him, like Parineeti told my cousin he looked very cool in his orange trunks, Varun told him that he has such a manly body that he should give Varun gymming tips & that he shouldn't become an actor or all actors will go jobless. Parineeti even ordered brownie & ice cream for my cousin, & we weren't billed for it so she was obviously so thoughtful about such a little thing that she must have paid for it herself. Thanks to them & no thanks to Katrina, my baby cousin was extremely cheerful. It is now such a happy memory for him that he has narrated it a hundred times to all his friends & family.
I was working on the set of Baar Baar Dekho (shooting for the super popular song Kaala Chashma) as an assisting makeup artist for the extras, and since the extras needed touchups between takes, all of us assistant artists were required to be on set throughout the shoot. It was an overnight shoot (8 pm to 8 am), and there were 56 of us.
Since two people were enough to do one touchup at a time and we were tired after being on our feet for hours, a couple of us would try to take naps while sitting on this tiny sofa in the corner about 25 feet away from the stage where Katrina was shooting. After a while, Katrina called out to her spot boy and flippantly made a gesture towards us, telling him to instruct us to remain standing the whole time because it was irritating and distracting her to see sleeping people while she was working. So, from 3 to 7 AM, after being constantly on our feet since 8 PM, we were made to stand. We were not even allowed to sit.Plus, she is almost always late in returning to the set after a break. The entire crew and director would be back, but she'd be chilling in her vanity van.I was a huge fan of her before this incident, but ever since then, seeing her face on TV or a billboard makes me feel irritated.
4. Who ran into Katrina and Ranbir in Amsterdam:
"A friend of mine met her and Ranbir in a mall, on the outskirts of Amsterdam. She used to be a huge Katrina fan back then. She got so excited, she went up to both of them, and asked for a selfie with Katrina. Not only did Katrina give her a stare down in reply to her, 'Hi, I'm a huge fan', but she also refused to have her picture clicked. Ranbir proactively offered my friend a selfie, clearly embarrassed by his GF's rude behaviour. Before my friend took left, Kaif also refused to give her an autograph."
