Vidya Balan to play NTR's wife in former Andhra CM's biopic?.

According to a report in a leading daily,
noted Bollywood actor Vidya Balan may
play superstar Balakrishna's wife in the
highly ambitious NTR biopic. Talking
about this, source said that she has
indeed been approached, however,
nothing has been finalised yet.
"She has shown an interest to play
Basavatharakam's role but it is not yet
confirmed, added the source.
The source added that Vidya has
expressed some doubts about the script
and the makers are currently addressing
those

They hope she confirms to do the film,
said the source.
If this works out, the NTR biopic will
mark Vidya's Tollywood debut.
Interestingly, Vidya was previously
offered the lead role in the Malayalam
film Aami but things did not work out.
Talking about her not doing the film,
director Kamal had said that it was a
blessing' for the film.
"Had she played the role, sexuality would
have crept in. This is something I didn't
pay attention when I initially approached
her. Madhavikutty was known for
writing boldly about female sexuality,
which is still considered a taboo
subject, he had added.
Let us hope that things fall into place this
time and Vidya gives the Southern film
fraternity a taste of her talent
In case you did not know, the NTR biopic
is being directed by Teja and will
highlight the unknown aspects of the
former mass leader's life. Its first look
was released a couple of months ago
and it did full justice the former Andhra
CM's larger than life image. The NTR
biopic is arguably one of the biggest
Tollywood films in recent times.
On a related note, NBK was last seen in
the Sankranthi release Jai Simha and
received praise for his massy act. As far
as Vidya is concerned, she was last seen
in the well received Tumhari Sulu.
