The character of Kaki Maasa was always confusing. Is she good, is she bad, is she evil??? The CV's never confirmed it to us.. But after her reconciliation with Dada Hukum I thought, ok she is not evil and was just trying to protect her son. And after seeing her accepting Diya, trying to help her with chores, she didn't seem bad anymore. And when she pointed out and corrected her son's mistakes (Cake scene) instead of blaming everything on Diya, I was happy that CV's are not going the general direction of showing a mother totally blinded by her love for her son (dada hukum) and his well being that she stops seeing logic and reasoning.
But today I realized that I spoke too soon. She is a typical TV soap saas who feels she knows what is best for her son. Who feels he is too young, innocent, etc to handle a difficult situation. And prioritizes his happiness over his wife. I had a doubt that this court situation will make her think that Diya is bad luck for Ratan and CV's did exactly that. Must say, am a bit disappointed in CV's. I love this show because of its uniqueness but looks like we will have the same old overprotective mother Vs her DIL. I really hope I am wrong and CV's don't turn Kaki maasa to a typical Saas.
I love her character, I understand that she loves Ratan a lot and wants to protect him but she must not turn selfish and think only about his life. I don't want CV's to spoil the bond she shares with Ratan and Diya.
Between, totally enjoyed today's episode.
