Last Part II.
Sameer had stopped at a junction when he saw Preeti on scooty accompanied on back seat by Pandit. First, he was confused as to whether it was Preeti and Pandit but later when she too stopped at the same signal it was confirmed."
Ye chenu, Delhi se kab aaya? Aur meri saali ke saath kya kar raha hai? Sameer tried to get answers but signal turned green and Preeti was long gone.
When Sameer came back home, lights were off. It was as if nobody lived there. Sameer tried to on lights but they didn't happen. He was confused. Where was Naina? She never left uninformed. Suddenly the lights turned on and there he saw Munna and Pandit along with Naina smiling. Both just hugged him and climbed on him as if he had made a goal!!!! Naina had a content smile. She knew how precious these two were in their lives. Sameer finally breathed a sigh of relief and said
" Kya baat hai!! Munna tu kab aaya?
" Main toh aaj hi aaya. Bass yaad aayi Babaji aur meri Bhabhi ki.
" Ye kya yaar Sameer, chenu ko pucha, mujhe bhi toh puchna chahiye. Main bhi 1 month ke baad mil raha hun na? Pandit said.
" Accha, tujhe bhi puchu? Waise Naina, Saaliji aajkal aati nahi hai gharpe.
" Main to usse roj baat karti hun. Kyun? Kya hua?
" Nahi, bass aisehi pucha. Mujhe dikhi thi aaj junction pe.
Pandit was shocked. He just looked guilty at Sameer and winked. Sameer just nodded ( baad mein mil) sign.
" Waise Sameer, iss baar Munna apne personal kaam ke liye aaya hain. Humare liye nahi. Naina said giving water to him.
" Tera konsa personal kaam Bhai?
Munna cowishly smiled. " Woh, karte hain baadme baat. Tu abhi abhi to aaya hai. Babaji, kaisa chal raha hai sab?
" Oye time pass, jyada bhaav khane ki jarurat nahi hai. Bata chal, Kya baat hai? Ghar mein kuch pareshani hai kya?
" Are bhai, nahi. Baas iss baar khudka ghar basane ki baat karne aaya hun. Suit wala Pandit ko finally puch hi leta hun shaadi ka. Thik hai na?Munna told blushingly.
" Chenu, Swati bolna sikh jaa. Ab woh banker hogayi hai. Pandit said.
" Chal koi nahi. Pyaar pyaar hota hai. Iss baar mein aur Naina chalenge tere saath aur rishta pakka karke hi aayege. Agar tu bole to engagement bhi kar hi lete hain. Sameer said.
Munna blushed harder.
" Kal hi jaate hain. What say Naina?
Suddenly Munna recalled,are kal kaise jayenge, Kal toh PVKM mein jaana hai?
"PVKM mein kyun? Everyone asked in chorus.
" Are mein to batana hi bhool gaya, phone aaya tha school se, Bhabhi ko chief guest karke bulaya hai. Koi award function hai.
Sameer lovingly looked at his Naina. Pragati Vidya Ka Mandir still remembered her as most disciplined and successful student.
"Tum log aaramse baitho, main kal ki tayari karti hun phir. Aur haan, aaj dinner mein Chole bhature aur gajar halwa hai. Naina said & went inside.
Sameer first pulled Pandit's ears. "Saale, sach sach bata meri saali ke saath kya chal raha hai tera. Dekh bhai, serious hai toh hi aage jana, nahi to abhi piche haat jaa. Aakhir saali hai woh meri.
" Are baba, baat to sunn. Kuch affair nahi chal raha hai. Bass coffee peene gaye the. Yaa ne hum aisehi mile to chale gaye coffee peene. Pandit said avoiding Sameer's eyes.
" Saale najare kyun chura raha hai? Munna said adding a little masala to it.
" Dekh Pandit, tu mera yaar hai. Par woh meri saali hai aur usse pehele Naina ki behen hai. Agar Naina ko pata chala ki tu uske behen ke saath time pass kar raha hai to tera to haal bura hoga hi par mere sir se bhi chhat uth jayega. Baba added.
" Sacchi yaar. Aisa kuch nahi hai. Mein aur Preeti dost hain. Kabhi kabhi mil lete hain aisehi. Aur agar aisa kuch hota to woh to Bhabhi ko bata hi deti. Waise teri saali hai badi kamaal ki ladki. Pandit laughed.
" Waise mere pass ek solid idea hai. Sameer kal kitne dino baad hum PVKM mein jayenge aur Naina ka toh alag ki lagav hai school se, kyun na hum kuch kare Bhabhi ke liye? Munna said.
Rewind:
Today's Pragati Vidya Ka Mandir students suddenly felt something unusual. Totally different faces were getting in through school's gate. The flow increased in due course of time.
The seating arrangement in auditorium was disturbed and the professors and teachers of PVKM saw a sudden increase in quota. Usually only the students receiving awards and their parents attended the function. This year was different.
Kavya, Hema, Sanjay, Pradeep, Vishal, Lalit, Jignesh, Pranit, Snehal, Sona and many many ex-students of PVKM were flooding in... Lochan Sir Arts teacher recognized the faces and students were all over PVKM...
Suddenly, the lights of auditorium went out and there was pin drop silence and blackout. Heart beat in sync... and there was a chorus of
"LIGHTS, CAMERA AND ACTION
Naina and Sameer along with Munna, Swati, Preeti and Pandit sat in front row...
The pictures started running...

Naina smiled... it was Sameer's bike. Nobody brought bike except Sammy boy that time.

Sameer looked at her. The perfection of the Hindi words and clarity and purity in her thoughts.. He felt proud of her and himself. The first good deed of his life was meeting and being with Naina.

They both looked as if they could recreate that first moment. So much love was still there in their eyes. Both knew what meant for each other.
Continued the film of many many pictures of PVKM, Samiana, Sameer-Munna-Pandit, Naina-Swati-Preeti, even Shefali and Arjun...
The film ended with a quote..
" Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho ... to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai..."
Naina had tears in her eyes. Munna-Sameer-Pandit went up on the dice.
" Ye un dino ki baat hai, jab PVKM sirf Hindi medium school hua karta tha. Par hum sab ko kahan pata tha ki issi Hindi medium school se shuru honewala tha ek safar jinse hume woh zindagi ki tamam khushiyaan aur ladhne ki himmat milne wali thi. Aajkal log kehete hain, dosti, pyaar pehele jaisa nahi raha par hum un dino se hai, jab dosti aur pyaar hi Zindagi bana deta tha. Aaj yahan jitne bhi shikshak (teachers) baithe hain sabse maar khaya hai humne, par usi maar ki wajah se aaj hum acche aur kamyaab insaan hain.
" Yeh un dino ki baat hai, jab dost parivaar hua karte the. Sochiye humare kitne saare parivaar aur rishte ban gaye honge. Tab dosti bhi aisi hua karti thi ek dost ne maar khaya toh baaki apne gaal aage kar dete the. Itni geheraii thi har ek bhaavna mein. Waise bhavna toh bohot hongi yahan???? Par mein feeling ki baat kar raha hun.. (everyone laughed). Woh kehete hain na Sunday ke nashte mein jab tak jalebi aur fafda nahi khaa letting tab tak Sunday, Sunday nahi lagta. Humara bhi aise hi hai. Main aur Munna jalebi- fafda the. Sameer ne aakar humari zindagi mein chakatdar sambharo (papaya chutney) ki kami puri kar di. Ab kise pata tha aise chakatdar sambharo jaise insaan ko moong daal halwa jaisi Naina Agarwal pasand aane wali thi... Naina ne hum sab doston ki zindagi mein mithaas kuch iss tarah ghol di ki baas ab aage ki umar diabetes jhel lenge...
Akhir aisehi hoti hai dosti...yaari...YAARANA...
" Main bass itna hi kehna chahunga SHUKRIYA, THANK YOU, Pragati Vidya Ka Mandir; Par usse bhi pehle DHYANAVAAD Ahmadabad!!! Iss seher ne mujhe mera customised Kohinoor de diya.
Thus saying Sameer pointed towards Naina, who now was having happy tears (as usual).
Thus Naina was called on dice and awarded with the memento of PVKM by the then Principal now trustee Pandey Sir who was very very proud of his student Naina Agarwal.
Later that day all the classmates clung together near the then cycle stand today's bike parking area enjoying with cutting chai and laughing out their hearts...
When Munna returned to Mumbai next day he knew that the day-before was among best days in life. He had finally sorted out his relationship status with Swati and her family. They were to visit his family with Baba and Naina to take care if anything slips.
Preeti and Pandit's relationship status was still unknown. Though Pandit kuch kuch paani mein dikh raha tha, but he still didn't want to commit. Preeti was a super lady who didn't show any signs of falling in love.
He opened the book to continue reading,
"There are still some wonderful people left in this world! They are diamonds in the rough, but they're around! You'll find them when you fall down they're the ones who pick you up, who don't judge, and you had to fall down to see them! When you get up again, remember who your true friends are!
I think if I've learned anything about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or tired, don't take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together. Powerful stuff.
