Zayed in the launch interview said that "Ranvir is a character that people will love to hate and hate to love".
Vatsal said- He is playing a positive character this time. ( For me, definition of positive is defined by the situation of a person).
And now I can clearly see why?????
Undoubtedly, till now Ranvir was white-washed character. The Dharmatma Ranvir.
And now he is in-out dark character.
Till now most of us love Ranvir.
But as per today's episode and tomorrow's precap his obsession with Aanchal is as dark as Maya's was for Arjun in Beyhad. (A room full of Aanchal's pictures)- Rings a bell. ( I liked Maya in the beginning becaue I saw her as a victim then but all my sympathy with her went away the moment she attempted to kill her own mother & went on a killing spree). So, I like Ranvir for the intensity but will not accept abusive behavior on his part.
The minute he is married to Aanchal, he is abusive with her (slapped her) for thinking about Kabir. I really hope Ranvir doesn't cross the quintessential line of being abusive husband. But I think, Ranvir might turn out to be psycho-abusive (something I hate from the bottom of my heart and don't want to see at all). And I badly hope he doesn't get into marital rape in his zid to get to own Aanchal completely.(Ek deewna Tha just showed that & if that happens then he is doomed character for me).
Today's episode hints at Ranvir being over-possessive, someone who keeps a millisecond detail of Aanchal, overly-insecure, psycho & Abusive (physically, mentally & emotionally). And if this is his future portrayal, then I will love to hate & hate to have loved such a character. I have signed for a intense love-triangle but not such where portrayal of somethings just boil my blood.
Ranvir's Maksad- Aanchal (To get her to love him by hook & crook)
Kabir's Junoon- Aanchal (To get her after truth is out)
Aanchal's Haq- Might be to maintain, save & re-build her dignity, integrity & self-respect in a marriage like this.
Aanchal will be broken on so many levels in this marriage- the betrayal, the obsession of a man she doesn't love but is yet married to, frustration of not being able to get out of this marriage, her own undying feelings for Kabir & his constant presence around her and most importantly, constantly being a subject of abuse (direct & indirect) from a friend-cum-husband.
Thankfully, Ranvir is a fictional character with too much association with real-life because I don't think anyone of us can imagine to be in such a marriage.
Intense love is good but too much of it where your liberty & freedom is threatened is a nightmare which no should go through.
I hope makers on the name of grey-shaded Ranvir don't end up giving us completely dark Ranvir. Indian TV usually crosses the thin line between grey-shade & dark-shade. I love Ranvir with his flaws but not with his utterly dark traits.
Honestly, Ranvir scared me today to the core very much like Aanchal. I am AanVir fan & wanted this but the slap was shocking. My heart went out for Kabir. This was not a sort of marriage I was expecting & anticipating. (Ranvir might have raped & killed Meenu if I go by today's episode. He is very much capable of doing it). Entire marriage scene in itself was full of thrill & scary imagination off what might happen in future.
Such character of Ranvir will indeed be a thrill to watch but at the end I am a women who has the bad habit of finding out humane qualities out of fictional characters (both male & female) because fiction is not entirely imagination. It sometimes is very much real to ignore. Some things are too dark to be said grey.
