IPK now has its own, "Some time ago" thing. It asks the question, will Advay save Chandni from trouble? (Yes, he will)
Chandni and Indrani talk. She doesn't want to go on the date. She is scared of leaving the house. Indrani assures her that she'll be fine. She's going with her husband-to-be. Chandni still isn't comfortable, Indrani can see this. Her expression changed for a blink. It became motherhood. Indrani says that she can call her if she is bothered and she'll come pick her up. Chandni goes at Indrani behest. Indrani was successful. Indrani was clever to use the mother card and ask Chandni if she trusted her. She took away Chandni's reason to refuse.
The scene moves to Chandni coming in a red sari. First of all, what happened to Shirali? I think she has a fever, because that sari actually looks good. Fashion is so much more bearable it seems. PP is grinning like a creeper.
Side Note: Why do the transition zoom-in sound so mechanical?
Indrani says that she believe tonight will be a very special night for both of them. The music implies otherwise. We know that Chandni is in trouble. I agree with Indrani though, but not for Indrani or PP, but AdvNi shippers everywhere. It'll be a beautiful night where we get a meaningful hug from Dev and Chandni.
PP walks out with Chandni, Advay sees this. In the next scene, Advay is livid. He throws something against his mirror. His reflection becomes distorted. It's his true self in the mirror. A disfigured man who was once Dev. Nani questions what making Dev so angry, he wanted to hurt Chandni so why is there so much pain for him? Nani asking real questions. Advay's says he's not in pain but feeling regretful that people like the Vashisths exist. To me, it looks like Advay is getting possessive but he doesn't want to admit it to Nani. That he cares about Chandni.
In the next scene, our Niru Mama interrogates Indrani. Indrani committed a crime that day 16 years ago. He reveals what happened 16 years ago. What Chandni saw and did was all according to Indrani's plan. She thought she saw Mahantani flying when it was just some random person hanging with Mahantani's clothes. They made it seem like Chandni saw Mahantani flying this way. It was necessary to have Chandni's testimony if they want to prove Mahantani does black magic. After all, kids don't necessarily lie.
Side Note: I mean not all children are honest. But I guess the show is trying to say that Chandni is pure and she wouldn't lie about something this big.
Mahantani died because of Indrani. And alongside her death, she killed Chandni's childhood. Indrani is branded a murderer by Niru.
That day, Indrani manipulated Chandni into revealing where Dev and Miku were hiding. Behind Chandni's back, she sent people to get Dev.
I love how the frame shows us Indrani's face. She is not bothered. She is unflinching to hearing her crimes being laid out to her by Niru. I love Niru for this. I hope nothing happens to him. I hope he reveals the truth to Dev.
In a different scene, Advay tells Nani might just be worse than they know. Nani is unfaltered. She has faith in Chandni's innocence. Nani served her purpose. She guides him to taking the first step.
Niru brings the gravity of Chandni's life. Her father doesn't remember her face, her best friend has left her, and the mother she worships has sold her off.
Indrani lists her good deeds to Niru and all she has done for Chandni and this family. Indrani reveals that she might have raised Chandni, but Chandni is not her daughter. Many speculated as much, there is your confirmation.
Indrani says that raising Chandni like her own was a simple favour. And now she asks for the fruit of her deeds. No one can stop Indrani. She will get what she wants. Or so she thinks.
The scene moves to PP and Chandni on their date. It's unusually dark. PP says he has a surprise for her. He calls people out and it turns into a disco club night. Chandni is tormented by everyone who seem to be harassing her. Chandni is frozen. Her social anxiety kicks in. She is unable to anything as she is pushed around. Chandni remembers her kidnapping. The trauma. She is brought back to that time with flashbacks. Chandni calls out to Dev, and he hears her. Dev sense Chandni is in trouble. They have a telepathic connection.
Notice how Chandni calls for Dev first before trying to get in contact with Indrani. This means that Dev is more important to Chandni than Indrani. Chandni tries to call Indrani, but she doesn't pick up and throws her phone away.
In this time Advay calls Chandni, she picks up and tries to speak but is pushed. The phone falls out of her hand and breaks. Chandni is almost falling over. Advay calls out to Chandni. He becomes worried for her.
PP seems to be having fun. They help him. They allow his to take Chandni to the is takes room. What sleaze bags. Well I guess a kameena can't be friends with dignified people.
PP takes Chandni to a room. Chandni wants to go home. PP tells her to relax. He said he'll get her something. PP leaves and Chandni feels faint. She is having trouble getting up. She is about to fall over when Advay catches her. Chandni is unconscious.
The scene goes back to PP boasting to his friends. Nothing big other than the idea that they call him PP Baba, which is creepy enough from his mother but his friends too? Weirdos.
PP goes back to Chandni to find that she isn't there. Advay has taken her. PP looks for Chandni.
Advay and Chandni are outside. Advay tries to wake up Chandni. Chandni awakens to mutter that she's afraid of water. She is frightened.
Chandni goes into Advay's arms. She hugs him. He doesn't hug back. Advay reassures her that PP didn't touch her. Chandni parrots him. She is referring to her kidnappers. They locked in a room for three days. Chandni begins to narrate her trauma to Advay. The feelings and how they tormented her. When she came back, everyone started taunting her. They called her badnaam. She's afraid. Afraid of it all. Of closed rooms, people, water.
And just then, Dev hugs her. Not Advay, but Dev. Chandni says she's afraid that she'll drown. Chandni faints in his arms. Dev remembers the good times, the times they played together. Dev thinks of Nani's words. Dev, for the first time, is thinking in Chandni's point of view. Remembering Nani's words proves this. This event will go a long way for Chandni innocence and relationship with Advay. The first step that Advay takes to Dev.
This incident is probably what turns Advay from being a villain to an anti-hero. Up till now, he's been acting like a villain. Plotting like a villain. Hurting Chandni and her family at every given moment. Taunting Chandni. But now, Advay is the hero. He saved Chandni. He felt her and that she is in trouble. He is bringing her home. This makes Advay the anti-hero. Finally, Advay has been made into an anti-hero.
In the next scene, Niru is still pleading for Indrani to stop all this. Indrani knows PP's intentions with Chandni and still let her go alone with him. Chandni became Indrani's daughter sure enough, but Indrani couldn't become Chandni's mother.
Indrani explains to Niru that all she has done, everything they have is because of her. She gave him wealth, status, respect. If Indrani committed this crime, then they ate the fruit of what it entailed. The luxury of her sins. They are all equally guilty. You know, Indrani is not wrong. They all bear her sin, Ranjeet, Shakun, Kajal and Niru. They are equally guilty. That's a fact since they all played a part, some actively and others in silence.
In the Precap, PP comes home. Shikha, Meghna and Veer inquire where Chandni is. Pratham explains that he doesn't know, she was feeling feverish and then disappeared. Just then Advay is seen carrying an unconscious Chandni in his arms.
Like I said, the episode was good but I really wanted Advay and to Bahubali punch PP for trying to rape Chandni.
Before I forget, I'd like to say that Indrani is really doing a good job at being an Antagonist. I said before that the main antagonist of the story, who might be Indrani, has to play a part in moving the story willingly or unwillingly. It's because of Indrani that Advay takes the first step to being Dev and saving Chandni. With the guidance of Nani as the moral compass. He is starting to see Chandni differently.
What did you guys think of the episode?
