Kanchi Singh: Kanchi Singh quits 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'.

After Hina Khan, Karan Mehra and
Rohan Mehra, the latest artiste to quit
the long-running show 'Yeh Rishta Kya
Kehlata Hai' is Kanchi Singh.
The actress, who joined the show last
year to play Gayatri (grown-up Naira's
sister), is currently serving a notice
period of three months. Informs a
source, "Kanchi wasn't happy with the
way her track was shaping up. Her
character was sidelined and after much
contemplation, she decided to call it
quits. She will shoot her last episode
around the end of September."

Kanchi confirmed, "Yes, I have quit the
show. I didn't see any future for my
character. I totally understand that
shifting focus from a popular couple
Kartik and Naira to any other
character could be detrimental to the
show, but my character was completely
sidelined in the bargain. I wish the 'Yeh
Rishta...' team all the best. I'll always be
indebted to producer Rajan Shahi, who
launched me in the industry. I would like
to play meaningful characters now and
have decided to take up only lead roles."

her beau Rohan, who too quit the show
last year to feature in 'Bigg Boss', and
she replies, "We keep our professional
lives separate. Just like him, I discuss my
professional life only with my family. He
has nothing to do with my decision to
quit the show."

good for her.she hardly got any role in last few months.hope she gets sumthing enjoyable.what i dont understand is y rohan is interfering n posting insta stories which is quite provoking against the team.he gotta remember one thing its kanchi's professional life n whatever rohan is today is bcoz of yrkkh.so he shouldnt provoke fans against the makers.atleast hina n kanchi showed sum class when they quited.

Good for her and proud of her. Kanchi Singh deserves way better than what she was getting. She's a great actress & I wish CVs of YRKKH do better for character, but didn't. Too bad!

Last Time Gayu's character got highlighted when KD suggested marriage proposal for her...I'm sure after Keesh marriage it was Gayu's turn to get married be it love or arranged marriage...In YRRKH apart from lead pair other characters get their tracks during suitable time...yess somehow her character got sidelined...Now main focus is on Goenka's after Keesh's marriage SS will be divided between Singhania's and Goenka's...Her character is better than Keerthi's character...All the Best to her...  

Gayu had got lot of focus when she got jealous of Naira and Akshara bonding, during the love triangle track, even as @CaptiveFreedom mentioned recently when the marriage proposal was bought out. 

So so happy for her..

Really dunno why he's being this provocative abt yrkkh...he was the one who left them w/o sorting replacements and helpless

Hope she gets a good role...yrkkh has a very large cast and serial stories always change due to popularity and how much trp storylines bring in.

rohan has sum serious atitude problem.1st taking dig at bigg boss show which again gave him fan following n now provoking fans against yrkkh makers..anyways,i nvr got connected with gayu's character apart from her being naira's sis..so wishing kanchi all the best for her future.

Rohan is wrong .
