Wow, such a strange and long time 20 years ago was, this is the chat from Feb 1997, I got to ask one question regarding his movie (Karobaar) and the delay of it:: http://m.rediff.com/chat/anilcht3.htm

^ I remember I had to wait 2 hours on the rediff website, just to ask one question, those were the days when I had time on my hands lol 😆

and it's strange how these stars use to communicate back then, now all of them have their twitters and facebook accounts

Wow thanks for sharing this!!

Anil confirms 50% of Pukar was complete in Feb 1997 and it was due by the end of the year. BUT it eventually came out in Feb 2000 😲 I had no idea it was that delayed, wow. Can't notice it in the film.

yeah true, even his Karobaar was delayed for 4-5 years and released in 2000, though in that movie you could tell because both Anil and Rishi Kapoor looked younger in some scenes and older in others, a lot of movies specially in those days were delayed movies, yet a lot of us never noticed or paid attention to it, neither the actors or directors cared

Was searching old archives and suddenly I remembered that I actually chatted with Anil in 97 on Rediff, some how I found the chat after searching a lot. I also tried chatting with newcomer Aishwarya Rai back then in (1997), but no such luck with her, there was a way too long wait for her. I was a nerdy 17 year old back then, with a lot times on my hands 😆, now I hardly have any time, also back then I was in India, Now I am in US

Thanks. I was aware of Karobaar taking that long, just didn't know 50% of Pukar was done by Feb '97, yet it released 3 years later 😲😆
