Salman Khan's upcoming Dabangg 3 will have Prabhu Deva in director's seat?

Salman Khan is an unstoppable force in Bollywood; he has an array of films lined up one after the other. Currently, his film Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan and produced under his home productions, is running in the theatres. But the actor has been busy shooting for his next Tiger Zinda Hai with Katrina Kaif. The film is a sequel to his 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and is being directed by Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar.

In one of its reports, The Times Of India had said that Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz Khan have already started planning for the third installment of the super successful franshise Dabangg which is again helmed by their production house.

Dabangg, released in 2010, was a major blockbuster at the box-office which also magnified the number game (100 crore clubs) in the film industry. The same effect was carried forward by Dabangg 2 which released two years later in 2012. Now with Dabangg 3, the expectations are even more.

The TOI report also furthered that Arbaaz will only be producing the film and won't direct the film (he directed Dabangg 2). He was reportedly in search of directors for this project. It was also alleged that the Khan brothers had gone through several scripts posed by the prospective directors and that they have even shortlisted three from the lot.

The first part of the Dabangg series was directed by Abhinav Kashyap, while the second was done by Arbaaz. But they retained all the characters in the film. Now, it is being speculated that Prabhu Deva will be holding the reins for the third installment of the franchise, reports Bollywood Hungama.

It will be interesting to see the superstar collaborate with Prabhu Deva once again. They had previously worked together in 2009 film Wanted which was again a major hit in the box-office. Whether the director-actor duo can spell the same magic again is yet to be seen, only if these speculations turn out to be true. There has been no confirmation from the actor, director or even the production house.

the news about Prabhu directed D3 came out a few days before TL release. i like how he directs his movies its enjoyable and would be way better than salman useless brothers directing it Edited by sandiab - 6 years ago

What did good directors like Kabir , Sooraj gave Salman ? At least with prabudheva there will be no expectations and he is the perfect director for masala movies
