Dedicated to my Riya di.
MAGICAL LOVE
The breeze entangled the branches and danced,
Nature had fallen into a trance.
The mountain peaks kissed the skies, laden and loud,
The sun peered through the crevices in the clouds.
With a melodious song, playing on his lips,
Notes obeying the commandments of his artful finger tips,
He evoked the downpour, a flute held clenched,
To liberate the earth, parched and wrenched.
Wetting her face were light, incessant showers,
She was his heart, his benevolent bower.
Playful splashes and soothing drizzles,
The waters of the Yamuna rose and whistled.
There in the effervescent grass stood cattle,
Admiring the love that had won all battles.
For love in all forms known to the living kind,
Was at magical play, unafraid of fret and find.
No memory was familiar to Radhey, that moment,
To her dearest lord, her remembrance she had lent.
Leaning by his side as he beckoned the beats,
Legs swinging down the hilltop, the aura sugary sweet.
