I find Amala's clothes modern according to village standards. She wears churidar and salwar pants with without a dupatta. She never wore dupatta but only shawl that also to beat cold. Even during her wedding, she did not took dupatta with her clothes. People dress like Amala in cities and even in offices along with western clothes. I am okay with Amala's dressing which looks realistic on what people wear on daily basis outside or at home instead of those glittery and flowing anarkalis and also heavy shares with kilos of jewellery and make ups that heroines wear in other shows. Like really who can wear them on daily basis even at home let alone outside? Even FG wore less make up to look realistic. FG's clothes were traditional but Amala's clothes are modern according to village. I never heard of a girl in village wearing churidars and salwars without dupatta.

I find her clothes suitable for a cold region. But I agree with dupatta. In rural areas girls usually wear them.

At home, normally gals don't wear dupatta in cities and villages. It's only in other daily soaps that they show gals wearing dupatta even at home. So yes, in this aspect, the show is realistic like why should amla wear a dupatta when she is inside the hotel room?

Secondly, she came from a cold place to a warm place like Mumbai so she will feel hot for first few days. Her body needs time to adjust to the difference in the climate of 2 places that's why she is not wearing a dupatta.

I don't have any dupatta problem. I said I am happy with Amala's clothes even if it's modern for village. It's not about home but Amala never wears dupatta as her clothes are only of 2 pieces. Remember if her clothes had dupatta then she would wear it after Dev's mom caught her romancing with Dev. During gift scene too, she used shawl to cover her head and during marriage only red chunri was used to cover her head. Mando and Karuna's clothes have dupatta but Amala's are of only 2 pieces which are very common in cities. I love her dressing unlike the shows where women wear heavy dupatta along with their clothes letting it flow on anyone.

Going by what you wrote, the makers have done proper research in terms of dressing otherwise village girls are stereotyped in TV shows only by showing them in heavy salwar-suit with dupattas or ghagra-cholis. The makers are showing Amala in clothes we all normally wear instead of dressing her like she has to attend a party or a wedding everyday😆. Does your dharamshala friends wear modern clothes at their native place too?
