Honestly I find Nigar Sultana to be kinda underrated,she's gorgeous and an amazing actress.IMO she was much better than Madhubala in Mughl-e-azam especially in Teri Mehfil Mein song,she's absolutely mesmerizing in it,I love those fierce eyes of hers <33

Among the choices, Hema Malini. Right from her first film Sapnon ka Saudagar she was drop dead gorgeous. Then her looks start to change a bit around Sholay time. And then change some more around Satte pe Satta/Naseeb time. She was beautiful to begin with and then she became more and more beautiful. And till today she's the oldest actress who is still looking beautiful for her age.

Also she had the longest career as a lead heroine I think.

Waheeda Rehman was graceful and simple great features, a very beautiful face. But how quickly she aged, no?

Madhubala was pretty but vastly overrated.

Saira Banu had nice features but overall she's pretty and nice cute types.

Sharmila Tagore was cute with nice features.

Mumtaz was plain types who some found attractive. Her bulbous nose took up most of her chipta face.

This is my list from top to bottom of the charts. However it has to be said that everything is subjective. IRL usually we don't find so many good looking females in one place. So any of these females except maybe Mumtaz who also though w'ont be short of male attention, will be the galli muhalle ka heartthrob. And if we had the B and W pic of any of these ladies in our house as our grandmum or whatever, everyone will call them most gorgeous.

And lastly, I feel the older day ladies were more natural beauties though. Today hair and makeup and clothes are such that anyone can make a fool out of you. You never know what you're getting.

I have never found Madhubala beautiful, she's pretty. I just don't get the hype.
