Why it really Make sense????

The last three episodes were hard to digest. We all had high expectations from Annika getting shot sequence. It didn't turn out how we wanted it to be, but instead the characters behaving out oddly left us confused. What's really happening??? Everyone seems confused as in why Annika is trying to make Shivaay accept that he is indeed ishaqbaaz, while on other hand she is talking about his Naam, Khoon, Khandan to Sahil. Why Is Shivaay ignoring Pinky? And why is Pinky feeling insecure after accepting Annika last week?

But, we look closely and try to analyze them and join dots backward, nothing is out of character and it really does make sense (at least to me).

1. Annika:

- I have said this before and I will say this again- Annika is one of the most realistic character Gul has ever created. She is strong, independent, and practical. She even voiced it out to Shivaay today. She is not weak, she never was!

- Why is she trying to make Shivaay accept that he does have feelings for her? It's simple. Because she wants him to love her back as she loves him. If you look at that scene superficially, it will leave you confused. But if you watch it 4-5 times, you will get it what's really happening. Looking at her body posture, hand movements, and voice tone- she's trying to tease him. Why? Because she saw him fussing on her getting shot and she seems enjoying looking at her nervous Billu. Did you all notice, the way she was saying it- no tears, no seriousness. Did you see how she touched him- more like teasing. However, you cannot just simply miss that slight shine in her eyes. That's hope. She is teasing him like he teases her, more like giving tit for tat. But, but, but, there's a hope, a want in her eyes. Somewhere deep inside she really wants him to accept their love. Sigh, she knows that his NKK is still there and even though is every action clearly speaks for his love, he will never admit it. So Annika tries to cover that hope under her teasing tone.

- Today her conversation with Sahil is what she actually thinks about their relationship. She voiced out her inner thoughts. She knows she do not have to pretend in front of Sahil at least. She is clear in terms of where she stands- She loves him, period. But, she fears that Shivaay might not love her because of her NKK. She knows how strong his beliefs are and how hard it is for him to overcome them. So, instead of crying and worrying about their future, she chooses to live in the present. She loves him and this is enough as for now. He cares for her, he wants her saath and he accepts her as wife. This is more than enough for her. Though a part of her badly wants him to accept his love, the practical Annika in her knows that's not possible. Sometimes, we love someone so much that even though we know it will leave us heartbroken in future, we still choose to be with them in present. That's how we humans are.

- Now the question is- Can't Annika see Shivaay's care, concern and obsession for her? Why does still think that Shivaay will never love her? The answer is- Shivaay need to say it out loud to make her believe. Yes, she can see all the care and concern. He even said that she's important, she's family. But, he never said that he loves her. Hell, he even took the bullet for her. She's not blind, nor she is deaf. But, then this is Annika. She's not like other Starplus heroines. Even in the past, she believed Shivaay's out loud confession, instead of what his expressive eyes and actions. For Annika, words are important.

1. Sorry after Daksh fiasco- he was guilty and his eyes showed that. He supported her against his mother's accusations. Again this was his actions speaking about his guilt. But the moment he said sorry, Annika accepted it.

2. "You are important to me Annika"- she believed when he said that, even though he took the bullet for her way before this confession during fake Shitia wedding.

3. "Annika is my wife"- Again she knows he cares for her and that she is important. But, she never claimed herself as his wife, until Shivaay said this out loud in front of everyone. After that she started calling herself his wife

Moral of the story- No matter what Shivaay do- takes care of her, calls her family, takes bullet, Annika will still need words. He doesn't even have to repeat it, confess it once and she will believe it.

Gosh this is long, but I needed to pen my thoughts down. I will post on Shivaay and Pinky later. Feel free to share what you guys think .

Hi, thanks for making this post, i partially agree with you , yes she understands shivay n shivay insanely care for her n love her, n if anika is just teasing him over accepting love for her, then it's weird for us because she never done it before, i refuse to believe she is realistic now, at start of show she was definitely relatable but not after wedding,she was strong, independent, n prictical , in Start, not anymore, i liked her Sahara dialogues today, may be CVS remember old anika, she said she doesn't need any help or support, but actually she herself, her brother, his education, everything is maintained by shivay, no more independent becz she is not working, coming to her contradicting scenes, i believe, CVS R writing, editing, extending tracks , n it's , after accept of biwi word infront of world, she was started flirting openly , n never showed confusion, but as track ahade is of nkk , she must have some thoughts, that's y this confusion for us , self less love from anika , selfishly caring love of shivaay is what making me watch the show😆

Completely agree and if she were weak she would not be the perfect fit for Shivvay. He has been the Great Wall all his life and as Om had said in one of the very early episodes - even the 'Great Wall' needs support once in a while. Annika is Shivvay's 'Great Wall'. The Strong Annika.

He feels protective of and responsible for her, not because she is weak but because she is his wife and that is his privileged as a husband to look after his wife. Hence the statement that everyone needs a companion if not support. He sees her as his Equal not his Inferior. She is not a burden on him but a partner in his life's journey. The Independent Annika.

She is his conscience, she reads his his inner thoughts and she understands his decisions even if she does not always agree with them. She argues with him but never undermines his role as the 'Head of his Family'. She questions his actions but never his authority. She fights with him in private but honors and respects him in public. She is his inner voice that speaks plain old fashioned common sense. The Practical Annika.

You have said it so wonderfully that I have nothing else to add. She is doing just that - teasing but with the hope that he does do that for her one day. I am sure that the man will and very soon. Her teasing is not that uncommon! We all do those things with friends and our spouses all the time!

She is not begging for his love declaration but in fact is making light of his whole serious stance on 'Tumhe Dard Hotha Hai?' bit. In my opinion it is who Shivvay is the serious one here who is moving, emotionally and physically, at the speed of light - not Annika. The intimacy that he is resorting to outside the confines of his bedroom makes one wonder how much her lack of NKK really matters to him at this stage?!

He does know about it and that is confirmed by OmRu's conversation but it is as though he has lately begun to weigh that against who she is and what she means to him.

She is covering her true feelings with all the light teasing and flirting. Shivvay is the one who brings out the 'heavy artillery' when he gets intimate with her. He is even past caring to keep his flirting and making the moves on his wife within the privacy of his bedroom!!! She is his wife and he has absolutely on qualms about telling his Family or the World at large how much she means to him. Even when Pinky entered the room today it was Annika who moved away not him.

Again I agree. She is just being human as you said. Trying to hold on to the good memories as long as she can. For when the time comes for this 'Fairytale' she is living in to end, she will at least have these to reminiscence about to spend the rest of her lonely life with.

Annika is not alien to loneliness and being abandoned, so she has instinctively made compartments of her feelings whereby she will be able to withstand the blow of her lack of NKK when it comes. Her joking about how much she means to him is her way of consoling herself. She knows that even though she means more than life to him the lack of her NKK is something that will never make up for it. This man who defines his relationships on the basis of NKK alone will never compromise his long standing beliefs even for HIS happiness.

What she has failed to realize is that while she has been worrying and fretting about all this the whole while, the Shivvay Singh Oberoi she knew and understood has been slowly going through a very beautiful and wonderful metamorphosis right before her very eyes.

The very dull and drab life of this caterpillar has been transformed by her love and care cocooning him into a very colorful and vibrant butterfly. (She did say that didn't she?? lol)

She has failed to notice that Shivvay's Happiness lies in HER Happiness. Shivvay's Vanity and Pride lies in her Pride and Respect. Shivvay's life is so intertwined with hers that she truly is the very air he breathes.

What Mahi found claustrophobic is what Shivvay finds comforting. What Pinky sees as controlling is what Shivvay finds challenging. What Annika finds she is lacking (NKK) is what Shivvay now will soon realize as insignificant.

Not just Annika but I think we all are like that. We all need to hear the words even if there are actions that say them. Not just Annika - Shivvay needs to hear them as well. Hence the 'Dard Hotha Hai' bit and the disappointment in his eyes when she says 'Nahi'

I think she values words more because that is the most difficult obstacle for Shivaay. He is a man of action, therefore speaking about his feelings was always such a difficult job for him. Remember how stubborn he was before, that he wouldn't even accept to say "sorry" or "please". It is easier for him to do something than to admit something. 😆 And now we're talking about Love! So obviously it would take time... esp when Shivaay himself has not realised it yet. 🤣 She wants to hear those words from him because that would mean Shivaay really means it, warnah he would never say it. ;) 😳 That's why we see him flirting with her even if he doesn't know how much in love he is... actions first ;) 😆
And if we think about it, Shivika's relationship has always been based on one thing - words. They can build or destroy in a few seconds.

I kinda like this parallel btw them... Shivaay being all for actions and Anika for words 😆
