Hey there, I've made this post regarding something I've seen all over the forum - people being classified as 'Maya fans'. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely okay to be referred to as a person who likes a specific character, what I'm not okay with is the fact certain assumptions are instantly made when a member is considered Maya's fan. People automatically assume that just because one likes Maya, they must hate Saanjh and Vandana, and justify all of the character's actions.

While I do not speak on behalf of everyone, I can say for myself that I do consider myself a Maya fan. That doesn't mean I hate Saanjh, I just think she made some questionable choices while she was blindly in love. I was highly against Saanjh being blamed for trying to come close to Arjun when all the fault was clearly the latter's. Being a Maya fan, I do not hate Vandana either, in fact, I saw quite a lot of truth in her words and warnings back in the day. I do not think everything Maya does is right, hell no, it isn't, I don't even know if anything she does at all is correct. That doesn't make me less of a fan. I like Maya, I love everything about her character - from the darker side of her persona to how well it is executed and portrayed. Being a Maya fan, (to me) doesn't mean believing she's always right, it means loving her character despite her being wrong.

I used to like Maya in season 1 but now, after finally catching up on season 2 episodes, I am neutral towards the characters.

I like her character too since she is interesting. The only problem people have is with those who justify her actions all the time.

Well her character is most interesting no Doubt BUT her actions cannot be defended just because she had a bad childhood.

Another thing which i cant stand is people saying 'maya fans are jennifer fans'

well i agree, there has been many things which i never liked which maya did. personally i never had a problem with her in season 1 but season 2 some of her actions were very extreme

coming to saanjh, many 'maya fans' praised her when we saw the normal and mature side to her after arya wedding, she supported them and helped them even at the beginning many had no problem with her. but at times she can annoy you.

All i can say is 'maya fans' do not support all of mayas actions well i know i don't but personally i do wish for redemption but then again it depends whether her actions are redeemable and this is my view where i hope a shocking twist comes and hopefully maya will repent for her actions.

Nice post infact loved your view that u can like other characters but make judgements according to their doings.Same law for all.🤗and got your point as well.Am also a Maya fan who can admit that Maya is wrong at many places.But still love that complex but character not her actions.
