Hey there, I've made this post regarding something I've seen all over the forum - people being classified as 'Maya fans'. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely okay to be referred to as a person who likes a specific character, what I'm not okay with is the fact certain assumptions are instantly made when a member is considered Maya's fan. People automatically assume that just because one likes Maya, they must hate Saanjh and Vandana, and justify all of the character's actions.
While I do not speak on behalf of everyone, I can say for myself that I do consider myself a Maya fan. That doesn't mean I hate Saanjh, I just think she made some questionable choices while she was blindly in love. I was highly against Saanjh being blamed for trying to come close to Arjun when all the fault was clearly the latter's. Being a Maya fan, I do not hate Vandana either, in fact, I saw quite a lot of truth in her words and warnings back in the day. I do not think everything Maya does is right, hell no, it isn't, I don't even know if anything she does at all is correct. That doesn't make me less of a fan. I like Maya, I love everything about her character - from the darker side of her persona to how well it is executed and portrayed. Being a Maya fan, (to me) doesn't mean believing she's always right, it means loving her character despite her being wrong.
