Actually when I first started watching the show. (some months after leap) and I was binge-watching, I loved the Ali-Avni scenes and their connection too. Ali's pure love was always a treat. I liked how he felt almost from the first time he spoke to Avni on Neil's phone that she may be Avni and even Avni when she heard the name "Ali" wonder if this was her friend Ali, and then dismissed it.
So their connection and chemistry was there from the start. Khamoshiyan was a beautiful BG for them as well. I also liked the jealousy/envy that was brewing between Ali-Neil once Ali knew Ananaya was Avni. But he always felt a connection with this girl. In fact one of my favorite stills from the start of the leap was the one of Gautam Zain and Aditi together.Aditi is in the middle with her hands on each boys shoulder. It was a great shot. The two "significant" guys in Avni's life. Even now they are both there for her.
I love Ali-Avni combo. But of course as friends, coz Avni loves Neil and we all know that now. So RIP Khamoshiyan! LOL
