I can understand BOI downgrading Dabbang and Ghajini from ATBB to BB. If they hadn't, then ETT and CE would also ended up becoming ATBBs. They changed the rules after CE to make it more strict.

Problem is, with their new setup where movies have to become a record grosser in 70-80% of the territories (or come close), Dhoom 3 did that 4 years after 3I. It wasn't as convincing as when 3I, PK, BB, or Dangal managed to do such business. That's why I wonder how D3 could be an ATBB. Theoretically, it is. But if a movie crosses Dangal's nett in most territories by 1 lakh after 5 years, acc. to BOI's new module, that movie would have to be declared ATBB.

He also added a lot to the role.

As far as post DDLJ movies go, SRK was infinitely better in Dil Se, Pardes, and Yes Boss in the 90s. He just hammed until Veer Zaara (where the role justified the melodrama) and Swades of course.

We are also working with a well-known trade analyst to rectify the 90s data, which isn't as accurate as we'd want it to be at the moment.

I may as well have some fun posting some more data; might irritate some and some may love it. I'll just enjoy reactions. 😆

Personally I think all 3 Khans are smart enough to find their own niche space and viewers. All three deserve credit for that. but somehow poor Sallu doesn't get that deserved acknowledgement even when numbers are with him. (which funny enough are used in case of one's own favourites).

This thread was made just to reminisce a b'ful memory; I am laughing how even this turned into anti-Salman comments. Anyway, 1990s decade belonged to Salman and 2000s decade belonged to SRK. I think that just about balances it. (though Salman never disappeared, continued giving some hits still: Mujhse shadi karogi, No Entry, Partner, Tere Naam, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya, Wanted, Dulhan hum Le Jayenge, Har dil jo Pyar karega, Garv).
