Green for Danger- Nice light murder mystery. It is not about who killed but about fallibility of very human inspector played by Alaister Sims (aka Mr. scrooge). The man is so devilishly good. The movie was released two years after Mrs. Miniver and way bombing and psychological impact is shown here is much more effective than Mrs Miniver and that is real surprise considering genre of this movie. Don't miss this movie. 😊

Margaret Rutherford is one of a kind and her Miss Marples is simply not be missed by people who love Christie. Even if Agatha Christie (❤️ ) was not convinced that Rutherford was right choice, by end of the series, I think Rutherford made Miss Marples amazingly fun. Love this series. She gets 👍🏼 from me.

Few years back I watched all of the Miss Marples movies by Margaret Rutherford... She was one of a kind alright 😆 I watched them back to back, don't remember the plot much now, thanks to my poor memory which is a good thing in this case bcz I can watch them again 😊

And her Marples is amazingly funny, her comedy was effortless...

She said "You never have a comedian who hasn't got a very deep strain of sadness within him or her. One thing is incidental on the other. Every great clown has been very near to tragedy." - which was so true of her, her childhood was marred by tragedies involving both of her parents

P.S. I agree with RR, how do you and ALD manage to watch so many movies and have the time to write reviews

I love movies way too much. The man who plays her assistant (librarian) is her husband who was written in the script because Margaret wanted him on hand. She was depressive and suicidal. He was not just her husband but also her care taker.

I love movies :) ..I have a schedule that I passionately follow - I spend 30 minutes everyday(unless I get no time on a particular day) on watching a movie, and no mercy, 30 min bole toh 30 minutes 😭 (I violate this schedule ofcourse - occasionally!).. As for writing reviews, it was a poor attempt to improve my writing (critical appreciation) but it always becomes more of a messed up word/emotional vomit because my vocabulary isn't good enough to convey what I always want to! :/

The Princess Bride (1987) is a one of a kind movie... It!s funny, intelligent, pleasant, entertaining. engaging 😊

It's a Romantic Fantasy Adventure Comedy film ⭐️ ❤️

It's also a parody, it parodies the fantasy-adventure movie genre (not in a mocking way) at the same time being one itself 😊

"It about a farmhand named Westley, accompanied by companions he befriends along the way, who must rescue his true love Princess Buttercup from the odious Prince Humperdinck. The story is presented in the film as a book being read by a grandfather to his sick grandson who tells his grandpa to please skip the parts that includes kissing 😆"

Anyway for it's 30 th anniversary this year, they are showing this movie, only a couple of shows, in selected theatres across the U.S.

I watch 1 movie per day- language no bar. We are not into TV. So we use that time to watch movie.

Betty: I own copy of the book from which this movie is made. But I have to say the movie is far more fun. Can I ask you something. Is your name Betty or is it named after someone? 😊

NAAM SHABANA
Story- basically tells us how R&AW recruits its spies and how and why this girl shabana was selected . The story then finishes with her being fully integrated as a spy and her first succesful mission.

Action - Super

Music - romantic track was good , rest was just for story demand

Acting - Taapsee toh taapsee hai , akshay in small and effective role
guy playing bf of taapsee was cool too

Overall- 4 stars

nice fast paced movie

13 Reasons Why
IMPORTANT. WATCH IT.

While I seldom venture out of the romcom side of the spectrum, I don't come across many things that truly move something within me. This did.

I was initially just planning on watching the first episode to see whether I'd mildly like it to continue watching it over vac but I couldn't stop watching and finished it all in 2 days.

i think it gives some pretty good insight on critical issues like suicide, bullying, family dynamics, friendship, trust, consequences, love, respect. What I really appreciated was that there were so many characters who's stories were explored. They weren't just surface-level people, there to move only Hannah's story along but each had a story and ending of their own and what's more - every facet of their personality is shown - the good, the bad and the really ugly.

The situations that occur may not be relatable to some but they are never unrealistic and it literally brings pain to you as Hannah's story unfolds. I can't even describe how I felt during the last episode.

I highly recommend this. When I watched it, it hadn't blown up on SM yet. Sometimes this tends to discourage me from watching certain things at the time but I promise this is worth it.
