What would make KKB more exciting in this ML track?

How to bring back KKB its glory? (it once was scoring 4 to 4.5 ratings easily on TRP charts), and was very popular otherwise with great feedback coming in for some of its plots regularly from both online and offline fans and not just for the acting powers of its cast.

I feel some items mentioned below if invoked in current story line will not just grab viewers interest for couple of weeks but will also sustain their attention for a longer time even without too much dependency on TRP stunts or fake filler dramas as the story will move ahead even minutely from its current stagnation point. Sep till now Abhi-Nikitha story is stuck with boss - secretary/friend not giving any inclination to viewers that it may culminate into a love story.

- Abhi has to get his memory back and he has to have a gripping revenge Taaliyakhil track, (may not happen so soon)

- or he has to cancel his wedding to Tanu after understanding he took a wrong decision,

- or he has to realize he is in love with Nikitha and she is not just a mere friend or staff,

- or he needs to know truth that he has been married before his ML and start search for his wife,

- or he has to know that Nikitha is Pragya Mehra his legally married wife and love of his life,

- or he has to know that he was in love with a girl called Fuggi in his past and search for her,

- or Taaliya's new evil deeds in this ML track need to be exposed to him,

- or his family needs to be shown making serious attempts for treating his ML,

- or Pragya needs to plan and take revenge from Taaliyakhil without impacting Abhi's health,

- or she has to attempt and make Abhi fall in love with her again to strengthen her position,

- or she has to expose publicly how Taaliya have defamed Nikitha repeatedly,

- or she has to make Abhi realize Tanu is unfit for his family so that he cancels his wedding forever,

- or she has to conspire with others to postpone Tanu's wedding with some lame excuse,

- or she has to slowly make Abhi get back his lost memories by recreating past situations,

- or she has to smartly plot to make Abhi lose trust on his beloved sister Aliya to keep her at bay,

- or she hast to suddenly get married to Abhi again by manipulating him with the help of oldies,

- or she has to use Aliya's obsession for Purab in a wise manner to control her evil actions,

- or she has to publicize Nikhil's affair against Tanu by getting her defensive and helpless,

- or she has to plot and split Taaliya and pit them against each other

Did I miss any other items that can make KKB gripping in this ML track?

In summary the leads have to be shown in some action either working together or working separately for a daily soap to sustain its popularity and also ratings. Both the leads of KKB have NOT been in action last few months in a true sense as they are more on back seat that could be main reason the show doesn't excite much or offer some believable scenes with light hearted humor which was once its trademark.

LA, thanks for writing this up. The list looks very comprehensive.

The show has been nothing but a gobbledygook since this whole ML started. One of the leads is pathologically happy while the other is in utter sadness making them very unbalanced. There are no trials and tribulations of a married couple which should have been the basis of this show, but trials and tribulations of Pragya where she constantly fails, both physically and emotionally and Abhi gets in the middle of the mess without really intending to. The boss- secretary/friend relationship is constantly being shoved in our faces.

The villains are taking everybody for a ride, with not a care in the world. They tell stark lies in front of everyone that know the truth, making a total mockery of Abhi and his ML. So the hero ( is this the right nomenclature ? ) is constantly taken advantage of by the villains while the heroine ( again, same question ) is beaten down. How can this possibly hold anybody's interest? Obviously, we are not watching to see how the villains triumph over everybody and never get even a semblance of punishments? Are we supposed to wait for a big punishment at the end of the show? If we can last that long.

Why did we/I get hooked up on this show in the first place? Not just the lead pair, their chemistry , the progress in their love story, but the show delivered some quick and sweet justice regularly. Contrast that with the happenings now . I have no hopes for the show that anything good will come about to Abhi, Pragya's relationship with the way things are going. I have already decided in my mind that come what may, how many ever injuries Abhi suffers or how many ever emotional molestations Pragya will go through, they will remain status quo for a really long time, Abhi will not realize his love for Pragya nor will he have any inkling about the villains nor will he cancel the stupid wedding. With that conclusion already made, there is nothing worth watching for me. And I also believe that there are going to be many more physical injuries to Abhi before the ML is done and dusted, to keep up the hype that his memory might return. I have probably watched under 10 episodes since the vulgar dancing aired, not that my viewership matters.

I've been skeptical of TRP's in general because I don't believe they are actual surveys of viewers' opinions on the show. So more than how to increase the ratings, I'd like to see the story go back to the way it was before Tanu's preggy drama started.

I'd like to see Pragya or Abhi or Abhigya together tackle the villains successfully. I'd love to see Pragya trying to revive Abhi's memories. Abhi falling in love with Pragya would be great. I'd love to see Purab have his own life as a parallel lead. Maybe even Aliya finding a guy she likes. The plot is too narrow now.

Interesting discussion LA! I dont think any iteration of AbhiGya punishing the villains would sustain the show for long - I see that burning out quickly. However I think you're absolutely right to identify both leads being inactive as the main weakness of the current track. We are now getting a very slow burn love story where neither of the leads are really doing anything intentional. The weight of their past is not being used in a powerful way. So I think anything that makes the question of their marriage the central focus would make the story more gripping. And ideally both of them would be actively working towards something even if that means not necessarily working happily with each other.

Most of your suggestions end ML track. That's not what CVs would want. They are fairing very well with ML track. It's the no 1 daily show and at least top 3 for the last many many weeks. Abhi not in love with Pragya was dragged for a year, Abhi not knowing Tannu's baby was not his was dragged for another year..Abhi with ML is already near half year mark.. so it will be dragged as far as KB is doing good and CVs run out of ideas to drag. KB will never be a gripping story.

Other than couple of items that I mentioned in the list for most others CV's as planned can continue to keep Abhi's ML in the backdrop without ending the track. This drag fest can still be made fun and interesting with some excitement built to the viewers that some positive things can happen in the show when they start showing some action happening from the lead pair.

Irrespective of TRP's in all other KKB tracks so far male or female lead had some direct or indirect influence on driving the tracks or plots how much ever be its duration. But during last 4 months in Abhi ML track both the leads have been mostly made inactive by the writers which may need some course correction even for dragging this for another 1 year.

Depends how you look at it. Pragya wasn't actively doing anything against villains in the first year; she was just trying to manage situations created by Taaliyah. Even in Mogambo track she didn't do much while having upper hand in everything. Still the show did well. Even now she is reacting to villain plots and the show still does well. Not that I personally find it entertaining, I am just saying it works with the core audience of KB. Even Abhi is always kept in dark and shown to do something in between when he faces a crucial situation. Same is true now.

I don't think the show will majorly change or
CVs would want to change much.. it will just end at some point when drag becomes impossible.
