Do you think the public hypes up star kids?

Hey!

We all know everyone watches star kids' and their debuts with a lot of interest. There are in fact many who want star kids to enter the film industry and think they should be there.

I have seen such comments for Sridevi's daughters. Her fans are fans of her daughters and want them to be in the film industry.

Ahaan Panday, Navya Naveli Nanda, Aalia Eff etc have their fan clubs and are probably set to debut in BW soon. Do they see the kind of blind adulation the celeb life offers and want to be actors?

Apart from the industry itself, do you think the audience contributes to nepotism? Before watching a movie, they will ask stuff like, 'Kaun hai iss movie mein?' and go to watch a movie if it has someone related to a popular actor.

What is special about BW or India that this tendency is amplified here? Even the public wants actors' kids to take the legacy forward. Is it part of a feudal mindset we are yet to lose?

I just read an article on IF about how Ahil resembles Salman and his moods !!
The baby isn't even 6 months old . He has no control over his facial muscles , still he can copy all Salman moods !! This is height of stupidity!!

All these star kids get too much of exposure and when they flop, it hits them hard. Like how it's happening to Athiya.

Public doesn't want these star kids . They are throwing themselves on public. Insta, YT is free, no follow will buy their movie ticket , if it's bad!!

I think you mentioned a relevant point, RR about how the star kids feel. They probably live in a cocoon of positive reinforcement which is inhabited by their fans and admirers. As you said, it must hit them hard when they see that their Instagram fan clubs mean zilch on a Friday.

I told you Ahaan Panday said, 'You will know me in a few years'. Honestly, it is a bit premature. Maybe he should not say such things when he looks like a One Direction band member currently. 😆

Though I don't think someone's success can be attributed completely to sir name as we have had many failure. Ex. Easha Doel.. I do to some extent the over hype of child star and nepotism has closed the doors for more exceptional people to come in. For an example, most of the new comers today are either talented or pretty. Ex. Shradha Kapoor or Alia .. I remember types when actresses had both qualities along dancing skills and what not. I have slowly lost my interest in Bollywood. Even in the early 2000s I use to be a much bigger fan. I really wish they would to more talent search like Mahima Chaudhary was selected from 5000 or so different girls.

When I'm watching TV with family, I sometimes say that this actor is the son of so and so. I don't think this is some feudal mindset or something? (Not sure what it means) but just a sense of familiarity. Yeh kisi ka toh kuch hai types. So yeah, public does hype them but it is common to many fields. Kids uthao faayda of parents lineage and good will in many fields in the initial stages. Especially if they are following the footsteps of their parents.
