Kids uthao faayda of parents lineage and good will in many fields in the initial stages. Especially if they are following the footsteps of their parents.

Family advantaged don't just exist in movies. Having a friend who is doing a sociology Ph.D. Connections help you get ahead in every field. Even the kids in college the ones all set with a job after graduation and have done prestigious internships are the ones who have mom or dad in prominent positions. That is how most kids get into IVY league schools through connections. Natural ability can only take you so far in today's unequal society.

Precisely my point. It's prevalent in many fields. Yes, in these fields you can definitely make it big without any connections but can't deny the fact that family connections (if exist ) do help you a lot. They reduce your struggle period/phase. Make you more visible. But the positive part in other fields you have scope to succeed but in Bollywood, nobody even has a chance of entry, tbh. It's become rotten. Wahi chaar log. Every actor these days in an industry kid and their anecdotes are filled with partying and having chill conversations with who's who of the industry, most of the times. No source of inspiration whatsoever.

Yup we have very few successes stories in recent years of those who come from outside the industry. I don't think it's doing Bollywood as a whole favor.

I will admit to having an eye out for a few star kids. It is partially because I have known of their parents from my childhood and consequently them and have curiosity about how they will actually act. Some are "familiar" to me.
Aryan is the primary example, he is closer to my age and I have literally watched him grow up with me. But no real interest in Sunaina or little Abram. But Aryan if he debuts I will be tougher on him because his father is my favorite and I know his filmography and his abilities more than other actors.

I don't feel like that with Jhanvi. But Sri is someone I have watched in 3 languages growing up , I know her filmography well and so I am curious about Jhanvi's ability. She is also going to Lee Strasburg so there is that part too.

Navya Naveli is also one I am curious about because she has both BigB's and Raj Kapoor's acting genes. I have no interest in her brother.

Ranbir was one who came into my radar because of Raj Kapoor more than Saawariya. I admit not being impressed with him initially but he won me over rather quickly with his acting.

So with curiosity comes judgment and higher standards too if I am honest.
