Kasam: Ousted actress Shivani Tomar talks about her exit from the show!
It is never easy to replace an established actor on a popular show. Fan loyalty is a major issue and everyone wants the old pair to be back. This same situation happened with Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki. Viewers loved the show (despite the weak story) solely because of the fabulous chemistry between Kratika Sengar and Ssharad Malhotra. Christened as TanShi, their adorable nok jhok kept the viewers happy. However, Kratika was replaced by Shivani as per the story line but now Shivani's out from the venture. Kratika's fans are thrilled but some are sorry for this gal who got hardly any time to make a space for herself.
It seems that Shivani was aware all along that Kratika is going to make a comeback on the show. She told an entertainment portal, "I was aware of Kratika coming back to the show. In fact, I had signed the show only for a month. The makers had asked me to stay tight-lipped about it. Now that the news is out, I am willingly talking about it."
However, the actress has no hard feelings for anyone. Quite a few people are curious as to why did she agree to take on a project just for a month. The lady states, "Balaji is a good production house to work with. My character was very interesting, that's why I took up the project. Though it was short, it's been good. I have enjoyed working with the entire cast and crew. People are very warm and helpful so definitely no bad feelings."
It is not the first time that Shivani is getting replaced. Actress Sonia Balani replaced her in Tu Mera Hero. The show was appreciated for the acting of the main lead, Priyanshu Jora but TRPs were poor. However, the biggest blow to Shivani was the scrapping of Satya Ki Kiran.
Produced by BBC for ZEE TV, it was touted as Barun Sobti's comeback on TV. Shot in Delhi, it has Shivani as a con woman who falls in love with Barun. They were shooting for a couple of months before the channel and makers did not come on a consensus about its telecast. It seems the channel had other plans for its weekend programming. The makers want to take Satya Ki Kiran to some other channel. We hope things fall in place
