Lakshman means anger , and we always want to see that fury filled angry young man who sometimes due to his utter devotion and love makes descisions in haste , and the fact that both sita ma and rama love him for that

Yes, Ram once said when describing his younger brother, "There is love behind Lakshman's anger, and that love is what makes him an ideal younger brother."

Lakshman was never disrespectful or the type of "angry young man" we see in TV nowadays.

SKR never really understood how to portray Lakshman properly. They always saw his anger as unrestrained fury sometimes bordering on abuse, like when he shoved Urmila for being in his path, or when he spoke condescendingly to Sita during vanvaas. SKR's Lakshman never thinks properly before behaving, whereas in the epic, Lakshman was never abusive. He placed women on the highest pedestal, and whatever anger he felt was due to the love he had for his loved ones, and even that wasn't uncontrolled. It was always under control, because his intentions were pure.

the best part as that even though its about hanuman , they didnt make him act superior to ram and lakshman

here hanuman was shown genuinly worried due to lakshman's fury , and this is the truth , its not like star sita stuff

True about portrayal. SKR has killed a lot of the characters, and its sad to see after watching an iconic show like RSR

Lakshman is like a serpent.

Serpents attack not if anything happens to them, as much as to their loved ones. A serpent is the angriest when their loved ones are hurt.

Look at Lakshman. Raghuveer or Sita hurt, he is a whirlwhind, a fiery person. But if it happens to him, he will calmly accept it.

I love this line. I don't know where I read it:

Raghuveer tells Lakshman that "If this had happened to you, you would have silently accepted it and walked of. Only because it is happening to me are you getting angry"
