I think he would've felt that, when it comes to Ru, when it comes to the family business. Unlike Ru, he doesn't have a huge age gap to hide behind.

Though I'd like to think that as the years go by, Om accepts that he will never be Shivaay to Ru but that's ok. Because he's Rudra's one and only O.

And in my headcanon, it's Ru who unintentionally helps Om realise this 😳

Though, it's said that Shivaay helped Om getting clean, personally I've always believed that both brothers had their hand in this, intentionally or unintentionally. A driving force for him to get better, to be with them, again etc...
