Did Madhuri Dixit call Sanjay Dutt about his biopic?

Biopics of well-known figures can lay bare uncomfortable truths about those who have been associated with them in the past.

There was a time when Sanjay Dutt was very closely associated with Madhuri Dixit. But when he was arrested and imprisoned in 1993, she chose to dissociate herself completely from her Khalnayak co-star.

Now when Sanjay Dutt's life is all set to be chronicled in a film directed by Raj Kumar Hirani, Madhuri apparently called up Dutt, requesting discretion regarding their past association.

Says a close pal of Sanjay, "A lot of water has flown under the bridge since the time Madhuri was involved with Sanjay Dutt. She is now blissfully married with two growing children. So it's only natural that she would feel anxious about a biopic on the life of a man she once dated." Apparently soft-hearted Dutt has already informed Hirani to stay away from the Dixit angle in the film.
