Okay, I never saw or even heard about this movie, but i caught it today in youtube. f**k me this movie just disturbed me so deeply. Brilliant movie, outstanding job by everyone involved.

I always thought Priyamani was just another show piece but damn she is effing brilliant especially in the end when she is dying, I always thought Rani in Black was the best of 2000s but I was wrong, Priyamani kills it in this movie.

This movie needs to be remade and Rani should make a comeback for this one.

Ah,this one was highly disturbing movie. I think Priyamani won national and some other Asian award.
The last few minutes ,boy I don't know what happened and don't have guts to see this again, because I was pretty young when it released and I was unconscious😆

Haha I did mention this performance before. I don rmb exactly which topic. Im sure it was about National Awards. Best performance by an actress in this era, hands down. I couldnt complete the movie till date though. The climax was mighty disturbing I heard so I have been evading it till now. Hats off to anyone who managed to sit through the last moments of this film. Needs alot of guts. Priyamani was beyond outstanding in this film and its kind of sad how she got nowhere after this kind of performance. Partly her fault to wanting to do glam roles and not get stereotyped. But she honestly does so well in rural roles. Another film that came before this, adhu oru kana kaalam with Dhanush. She was amazing in that film as well, even better than Dhanush. And then there is Raavan/Raavanan, where she outshone Aish with such a small yet impactful role. I wish she did more films as such to tap more on her talent.

Btw NO ONE could do justice for that role except priyamani herself. Not even rani. Don see her in that role. Infact don see anyone else pulling it off with much grit like priyamani.

Oh yes.
I love this movie.

I mean it came during a period when everyone was doing flashy films about cities. And this was about the rural tale.

I do have the guts to watch but I skip that tragic rape scene and go ahead and see her in her last moments with karthi.

She deserves the NA!

That last scene with her and the hero, is acting genius from Priyamani. When she says crying that because of your sins this happened to me, seriously that moment was just heart breaking.

Yeah and another powerful scene was when the hero slaps her for nagging him. And she falls into the mud and she confesses her love for him. Amazing!

If u happen to watch tamil films, u will know Surya. Hero is Karthi - Surya's younger bro. And this was his debut. I think he did such a great job. When he barges into her house and claims that he is in love now and she shouldn't care for the family and start seeing him.
