I just read articles SC refused divorce for couple live 18 years separately in india
if ishra only 7 years separated and not married to any other person that mean according to india low both still married and need to divorce each other to move on

how sick mani proposal ishita if she still married

I don't know about india low but I read many articles about same issue 😕

According to Hindu Marriage Act, Under Divorce Section, there is a point on this
"has not been heard of as being alive for a period of seven years or more by those persons who would naturally have heard of it, had that party been alive"

So, Ideally Raman and family believes Ishita is dead, they haven't heard about her for last 7 years. So its already considered as divorce.

As far as the case you are referring is like they parted for 18 years but still in city and in touch. So that's a different scenario.

Where does the law state a man can't propose a woman who left her husband long ago? 😕 Why is everyone after Shagun and Mani?!!
