Before that...II made upma tried to putter around the ground floor, checked on her daughter, read the newspaper and eventually went up
She had to be at work by Noon
She was hoping to go check on the parents today

She searched the entire floor he wasnt around, she walked past the office a couple times and realized the door was shut from the inside

She pushed and it was bolted
He was on a French convo
He opened it she sighed and leaned on him
He said something in French and hung up
"Missing Nivi?" he asked cuddling
She didnt respond
"Dont go so much no?" she begged
He sighed and hugged her tight
"I cant believe I am actualy brazenly admitting this" she sighed again
He kissed her fully on her lips
His tongue stroking hers like a caress
"U cud just go back to lying" he offered
She inhaled his neck
"Vandita had called... did u call her back?" he asked
"Umm... Shravu" she said agonized
"Is he sick?"
"Ille da" she said
He gently rubbed his chest on hers
She smiled
"I am going to Rohini after work" she said
"What for?" he asked
"Havent been in two weeks" she said " I wish they had bought closer... I wish Shravu was 10, sab badal gaya"she said
He kissed her cheek
"If u had a lousy trip why are you working?" she asked
He gently sat down placing her on his thighs

"I didnt quit I am still working" he chuckled
"How come u dont tell me anything anymore?"
"YOU are asking me that?" he asked pissed

"How about you begin by telling me why you were crying?" he asked holding her tight, as she stiffened

She tried to pull away... resulting in pandemonium, he finally pinned her down after many tries
"I JUST told you you jerk" she shouted
"Lets try the truth this time" he was furious
"I am not even lying" she pleaded
"Really?" he asked
She looked away evasively
"I get it youve had a lousy trip... dont take it out on me" she hissed
They lay wrapped around each other, he was still holding her down
"Is that what u think I am doing?" he asked
"U dont confide in me... I ask you a 100 times... I bet you will call Manya tonight or go to Sam's and tell her all about it... I am just a sex toy" she shouted
He let her go
"Tumhe kaha maine... I want to go to Rohini" she was flustered to see him more upset
"Vandita TOLD ME" he said abruptly
She sat up disheveled
Running her hands through her hair... cringing
"Why did you not tell me?" he asked
"Back at you... its been over 18 hours you havent said a word" she slammed him
He got up"
"I am not competing with you II" he warned, hands in his sweat pockets
"You know what he did so why do you want to hear it from me?" she asked
"You brought him home last night and NOTA WORD?" he asked furiously
"Shud I have asked for permission?" she asked
He was ballistic
"did I say that?" he asked scathingly
"I dont know why you want to know... I dont ask you everything about Manya... oh heck... you dont even tell me everything about YOUR JOB" she said
"We acqui-hired a guy... hes DUD... the company is a piece of crap... HAPPY NOW?" he hissed
she froze in shock...
"I am so sorry" she said clamping a hand on her mouth
"Is he a crook?" she squeaked
He sighed and exhaled
"DOnt know... umm... I dont think so... the company is bogus" he smiled humorlessly
"How can the seven of you vet the company and not detect?" she asked reasonably
His lips twitched in a half smile
"7 idiots?" he asked
She smiled and looked away
"U are not satisfied with name calling me you have to ridicule all the guys?" he teased
She blushed
"No... ummm.. I think I am happy with you" she said
They stared at each other interpreting the meaning of the words, taking it out of context
"Is it a huge loss?" she asked worried
He smiled and shook his head
"Millions?" she asked
He nodded somberly
"ayyoyo" she whispered pained... she leaned back
"How did u guys miss the signs?" she asked
"We take turns vetting... in my defense I was too busy to vet, so was Sukrit and and Jacque" he said
"Alex? " she asked, reminded of Marliese
Her felt the awkward color rush up her face
Her heart hammered
"Do u need money?" she asked having no idea where she will bring millions from
"Relax II" he said softly, his heart raced as he watched her go from angry to jumpy and nervous
She stood up immediately
"since you singed off on buying the company... youve lost a lot of money" she paced the room
"Its not too bad" he muttered
She was pissed... he worked 80 hours a week... worked al night... many months... only to take such a big hit
"If u dont mind telling me... is it a lot?" she asked afraid
"10s... not 100s" he whispered
"MILLIONS?" she croaked
He nodded
she began to weep
He held her face
And kissed her tears
"II" he whispered... moved
"I am so sorry" she whispered choking
"I know" he said softly
