I think Sanaya has just given a small byte for nakul's series . It's just 4 episodes ... He with his team had conceptualised it way back and the promo came out abt 2 months back ... So they must have shot it already .
He is a popular guy I must say .. So many A listers , some who are busy with their daily shows etc have given their time for it 😃

I am not a web series fan atall .. Think have watched a few one off episodes of YRF .. That's it . For me this is time pass till the big news comes of Sanaya ...I think Sanaya looks at it like that too , something she is doing for a friend and spending time with her bestie ...intact I saw the same reaction in the RR show thread too , ppl are happy that we might see Sanaya 3 days from now but that's abt it ...

Their are no earth shattering / trend setting statements abt how the industry will change and a revolution will come 😆 😆 . Sanaya hasn't even given a byte abt it 😆 for that matter nor has anybody else who is in the series . 😆

Agree with you G! Sanaya is promoting this web series and having fun time with some of her besties! No major commitment, just time pass kar rahi hai, while helping a friend with the promos!

I have a different take ... I said the same on FB too. Web series is the way forward ... with internet becoming so widespread, web content is increasing more and more. Netflix now has content only for the web ... it's starting off slowly. TV will never die ... but web series will grow in number and importance. My kids and their friends ... all watch shows only online, they don't bother with cable TV.

Sanaya has worked in this just for a lark ... Nakul is her friend, so is DD ... she's done it for fun. There are makers trying new things ... she has time these days, so she's done it. No wonder there are no bytes or multiple interviews from her about it ... it's a small byte in her larger scheme of things to do.

But the big issue is simple - how to monetise it. Netflix is one portal, Hulu is another ... Netflix has made an entry in India, and it remains to be seen how successful it will be ... Till that happens, and the commercial side is sorted out, all these forays are experimental ... small makers will try to get series online ... it's cheaper and easier than getting them on air on big channels ... and if they succeed, they might get buyers ... I really don't know how it will work ... and I guess, neither do they yet ... which is why the money being put in is small.

Most actors work on these shows for a lark as of now, for time pass or for a quick buck (which itself would be small money as the makers are also experimenting) ... till the commercial side of it is ironed out. That's why you don't see many actors talking much about their web series ... well, most of them don't ... there are always exceptions, as we know😆

But there are good PHs putting in money ... again mostly😆... we see the results only when they are ready to air ... like the YRF series, or now this Nakul one. Not the ones who do photoshoots for promotions without having concepts in place ...😆

You have been saying this for a while .. Monetise it and then ppl will actually pump in money and take it seriously . Let's see .. Everyone in India is used to free internet , just pay for the connection and that's it 😆 maybe Netflix will show the way ..

Zee TRPs released after two weeks. Sarojini has plummeted to 0.2 ... I'm so happy for Mohit ... he got out of the crap in time, and stands vindicated ... obviously he was a big draw on the show with the trp aunties at least. I'm sure he will get a new show soon ... he left with so much grace and dignity.
