Chapter 3

Day 1 Morning 0800 hours

"Pooja! Pooja jaldi uth humein 0830 hours par Shalini Ma'am ko report karna hai!",

says Naina, shaking Pooja to wake her up.

"Uffo Naina sone de na, meri battery abhi charge nahi hui hai. Agar theek se soungi nahi to purey din discharged battery ki tarah ghumungi KMA mein!",

says Pooja, turning her side on the bed, not ready to open her eyes.

"Pooja tu kya bol rahi hai tujhey pata bhi hai?",

scolds Naina.

"Haan pata hai! Sahi to kaha maine. Tu to aise chilla rahi hai jaise maine tujhey ye dhamki di ho ki - mujhey sone de warna main tujhey Rajveer Sir ke aas-paas bhi nahi bhatakne dungi!",

replies Pooja, not realizing what is she saying!

Even though it doesn't affect Pooja, she doesn't realize what she just said but it does affect Naina!

At first she widens her eyes, it is an automatic reaction. How dare she? How can she even think like that? Why would she refrain her from meeting her Rajveer Sir? If she dares to do that, she must for once, before taking any such step, think about whom is she dealing with - Naina Singh Ahluwalia!

Naina, who never bends in front of anyone. Who does whatever she likes to do! Pooja, not at any cost can stop her from meeting Naina's Rajveer Sir! And even if she tries, Naina won't think twice before teaching her a lesson about how should Pooja not interfere when it is a matter about her and her Rajveer Sir! And as for punishment she can always ask her to skip one of her meals, especially on a day when there are difficult classes to be held or may be her favourite shahee paneer or paalak paneer been cooked. Or may be say, she can always ask Pooja, not to talk to her for several days together. Naina knows very well how dear she is to Pooja. Pooja can't go without talking to her for even a single day let alone a good number of days! Who would listen to her non-stop blabbers then?

Wait! Wait! Wait! Punishments for Pooja? Why on earth is she thinking about punishing her best friend? For who on earth is she ready to do this for? Oh yeah, her Rajveer Sir! Her mentor, for whom she can go to any extent. She can do whatever he asks her to do, whenever he asks her to do!

If right now he asks her to take ten rounds of the field she won't even think twice before following his order. If he asks her to skip a class of Major Nayyer just to attend a special lecture of his, she won't bother about how Major Nayyer would insult her next day for not attending his class or might give her a very good punishment! Good for him, bad for her! A smile creeps on her lips.

Getting out of her reverie, she mentally scolds herself for wasting her time in stupid thoughts.

Clearing her throat, she scolds Pooja,

"Dekh Pooja tu faltu baatein mat kar. Waise bhi mera koi mood nahi hai abhi Rajveer Sir ke barey mein baat karne ka!",

states Naina clearly.

At this Pooja smirks!

"Kya?",

asks Naina, unable to understand what made her to smirk?

Getting up, sitting straight on the bed, Pooja ties up her hair into a ponytail and says,

"Naina, 'Rajveer Singh Shekhawat' wo kitab hai jissey parhte hue na to tu kabhi thakti hai; aur na kabhi tu uss kitab ko chor sakti hai!"

Bending a little towards Naina, who is now sitting in front of Pooja, on the bed, Pooja holds her by her chin and lovingly says,

"Samjhi meri Jhansi Ki Rani?"

Pooja's this line does amazing things to her inside, but she dismisses the idea. Getting up she scolds her mildly, hiding her blush,

"Tu bhi na Pooja, kabhi kabar aisi baatein karti hai jo mere sir ke upar se jata hai. Chal ab jaldi taiyar ho ja class jane mein late ho jayenge warna"

Sighing, Pooja teases Naina, speaking under her breath,

"Sir, dimag, dil mein agar Sir chahey hue hon to sub kuch sir ke upar se hi to jayega!"

But this doesn't go unnoticed. Turning back Naina narrows her eyes on Pooja and asks,

"Kya kaha?"

Hiding her amusement, Pooja says,

"I love you!",

and runs into the bathroom to get ready.

Naina looks at vanishing Pooja into the bathroom, blushing she whispers,

"Pagal!"

She re-thinks about whatever Pooja has said, that suddenly Rajveer's voice rings in her head saying,

'Tumhe main wahan firse tabhi le jaunga, agar tum har roz lights out hone ke baad mujhse milne aao!'

She finds her rate of heartbeat increased, after remembering his words!

"Ye mujhey kya ho raha hai? Main darr kyun rahi hun? Wo Rajveer Sir hi to hain! Unse milne se kaisa darr? Unse milne se kaisi... kaisi... sharm...!",

blushes Naina, as she utters the last words!

Then something hits her mind that her mood changes, she turns again into a strong Naina from the fragile Naina she had turned into moments ago while remembering about Rajveer!

"Aur waise bhi I am sure unhe yaad bhi nahi hoga ki humare beech kal aisi koi baat hui thi!",

she says, pretending to be confident, although inside she knows that Rajveer can never forget anything said by Naina to him; or anything said to Naina by him! This thought skips another of her heartbeat.

She quickly dismisses the thought, blushing. Then showing fake irritation to no one in particular, she calls out Pooja,

"Pooja jaldi chal!"

"Haan baba ayi. Tu na itni jaldi macha rahi hai jaise aaj koi bhi call tu missed call list mein jane hi nahi degi!",

says Pooja, throwing the towel on the bed.

"Pooja ye towel geela hai, bed par mat rakh. Uffo har baat samjhani parhti hai tujhey!",

scolds Naina, getting irritated.

Combing her hair, looking at her on the mirror, Pooja wonders then asks,

"Naina tu ne nashta kiya?"

"Haan main to jaise iss room se bahar gayi thi bhoot ban kar aur fir mess mein jaa kar Suriji ke kaan mein bola 'Suriji please jaldi se aaj ka breakfast de dijiye' aur Suriji ne bhi badey pyar se naashta hawa mein paros dia!",

replies Naina plastering a smile on her face, looking towards Pooja.

"Tu itna bhadak kyun rahi hai? Tera tabse cross-connection kyun lag raha hai?",

asks Pooja, surprised on witnessing this new Naina.

"Pooja irritate nahi hongi to kya hongi? Tu baat hi aise puch rahi hai!",

says Naina, getting even more irritated.

"Sawal to main har roz hi puchti hun. Tu waise to kabhi irritate nahi hoti. Fir aaj kya hua?",

interrogates Pooja.

"Pooja please itne questions mat puch hum late ho jayenge! Fir Shalini Ma'am humein punish karengi",

says Naina, trying to avoid answering her.

Keeping back the comb on its place Pooja says, smirking,

"Pehli baat Shalini Ma'am bohot sweet hain, humare thode late ho jane se wo humara call rate nahi barhayengi. Aur dusri baat agar aisa hua bhi, to tu kyun fikar kar rahi hai? Tere Captain Rajveer hai na humesha ki tarah tujhey bachane ke liye!"

This skips Naina's heartbeat.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

A smile creeps on her lips as she thinks about the possibility of what Pooja said.

"Tu zada soch rahi hai Pooja. Ab bus kar jaldi chal",

says Naina, keeping all the thoughts and blush at a bay.

"Haye rabba koi bachao mujhey issey!",

says Pooja, looking heavenwards. Then smiling at Naina, she embraces her by her shoulders and says,

"Hansti raha kar, achi lagti hai!"

And they leave for the class.

~*~*~

At Dr. Shalini's class

Naina sitting with Pooja, starts day dreaming about Rajveer. She finds him standing near the entrance of Dr. Shalini's class, wearing that same cloth which he had been wearing to POINT 1857! She finds him leaning by the door and smiling at her.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

The sudden appearance of his, takes her by surprise. Her cheeks turn crimson red. Thank heavens that Pooja was listening to Dr. Shalini's lecture and didn't notice Naina's flushed up state.

Naina cannot bring herself to look away from him. His eyes as always catch her attention, not allowing her to look away.

Naina notices how he is smiling at her. He although being her teacher, is practically distracting her from her studies.

But who is she kidding? When was she studying? When was she paying attention to Dr. Shalini's lecture? When did she stop thinking about his and hers previous night's conversation? When did she stop thinking about POINT 1857 since the time she entered Dr. Shalini's class?

And likewise she didn't even notice how Dr. Shalini is looking at her every now and then!

But something she does notice but ignores, thinking it is just an illusion - someone entering the class, talking to Dr. Shalini, then looking towards the class. But somehow deep down she feels that the person is especially looking towards her. But she ignores that too! Right now nothing is as important for her as looking towards smiling Rajveer.

As he leaves, Dr. Shalini speaks,

"So class...",

loud enough for Naina to wake up from her trance.

Dr. Shalini notices how her voice jerks Naina up. Smiling silently, she continues with her class.

Sitting on her seat, Naina scribbles some points on a loose sheet of her notebook.

1. Apka din kaisa raha?

2. Aaj apne kis class ko kya parhaya?

3. Apne dinner kiya?

4. Apko chaye pasand hai ya coffee?

5. Kya aap kabhi kisi ke sath date par gaye hain?

As she ends up writing the last point, her brows knit together, but with in seconds her cheeks turn deep shades of red. Quickly she diverts her mind thinking - this is stupidity!

Why would he go with some girl on a date?

Then laughing at her own thought, she thinks,

I mean of course he would go on a date with a girl. Who else can he go for a date with, if not a girl? But why someone else?

Ok so, does she mean to say that it's only her with whom he can ever think of going for a date? Why?

Fed up of her own stupid thoughts, she covers the tip of the pen with it's cap. Rolling her eyes, she mutters under her breath,

"Jiske marzi saath jaye mujhey kya?"

"Kahan jana hai Cadet Singh?",

asks Dr. Shalini, reaching her, crossing her arms. Smiling at Naina.

At first it skips Naina's heartbeat, listening to Dr. Shalini's voice from so close. Getting back to normal self she slowly looks towards Dr. Shalini. Plastering a smile on her face, Naina tries to think of some ideas to get out of this situation. She mentally scolds herself for avoiding Huda! If not anything, at least he is a great help in learning excuses for times such as this one!

Through the corner of her eyes, Naina looks towards Huda for some help. But Huda who desperately wants to help her doesn't understand why exactly is Dr. Shalini scolding her? In order to help her, he must know about the situation!

"Ahmm... kahin nahi Ma'am! Main to bus aise hi...",

Naina tries to think of an excuse, when a voice skips Naina's heartbeat and drags the attention of all others present there.

"Date par!"

All turn to look towards the source of the sound. It was of none other than Captain Rajveer.

If there is any possibility of her blushing harder, then she is doing the same! Only that there is no sign of smile on her face. Rather it is a blush out of embarrassment.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

Initially Rajveer and Naina stare each other. Both enjoying their eye contact and silent conversation. But gradually Naina lowers her eyes. But as she reaches midway in her process of lowering her eyes, Rajveer utters loud enough for her and others to hear,

"Point..."

His merely uttering this word takes Naina by surprise. She looks towards him wide eyed. Her head starts spinning, anticipating his further words.

Why would he say that in front of everyone? If it is so cool to tell about it to all so why did he take her there during night time? Why did it seem to be kept like a secret? Was it just her or it was indeed meant to be kept a secret? Whatever it is the current scenario is giving altogether different hints. But why is she feeling uneasy? Has she committed any crime? Crime? That too in presence of Rajveer?? Surely not possible!

After gauging Naina's reaction, her uneasiness and enjoying it silently, his twinkling eyes tell Naina how he is enjoying teasing her, Captain Rajveer deals with the matter in hand. He completes his line,

"Point hai! How about going on a date?",

he asks, looking straight towards Naina, as if this question he is asking to no one else but Naina!

Naina goes numb by this yet another shock from his side. What exactly is he up to?

Arching a brow, Rajveer thinks,

'Naina, humesha embarrass main hi kyun hun?'

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

Sitting next to Naina, Pooja turns to look at Naina, shocked. But the reaction she discovers, mirrors hers! Naina is no less shocked than Pooja.

"Sala inn dono ka fir se shuru ho gaya. Ye dono bhi khali-pili apna waqt barbaad karte hain. Khul kar ek dusre ko bolne mein kya jata hai pata nahi inn dono ka?",

mutters Alekh.

"Dude, date se yaad aya... tum logo ko kya lagta hai Dr. Shalini mere saath jana pasand karegi?",

asks Yudi, bending forward, sitting behind Alek and Ali's seat.

Huda, sitting next to Yudi, says in a low voice,

"Abey Yudiye yahan itni serious baat chal rahi hai, aur tujhey apni parhi hai. Marun kya kaan ke neechey?"

"Dude, Rajveer Sir aur Naina date par jaye ya na jaye, ye unka personal matter hai. Mujhey lagta hai humein isse duur hi rehna chahiye",

suggests Yudi.

Alekh, Huda and Ali glare at him.

"What?",

asks Yudi, unable to understand what made them to look at him angrily.

"And hold on, yahan serious baat kya hai? Huda date pe jana isn't any serious matter. It is rather, romantic matter",

says Yudi, getting excited as he utters the last words.

Huda, faking a smile, embraces Yudi by putting an arm around his shoulders. Pressing his cheek, which irritates Yudi, he says,

"Arey waah Yudiye tu to bohot kuch seekh gaya! Tujhey pata hai romantic date par janna kya hota hai? Waah!"

Yudi blushes, lowering his eyes, on receiving the compliment.

"Kis gaon ki chori ne tere saath jane ko haan kar diya?",

asks Huda, jokingly.

"Gaon...",

starts Yudi, getting excited, that suddenly he understands! Pointing his index finger, creasing his brows, he asks,

"Hold on! What... what gaon ki chori?"

"Ab koi shehr ki intelligent, hot ladki to tere saath janey se rahi. Wo sub to...",

removing his hand from Yudi's shoulder, he pulls up his collar, showing off himself and says,

"Issi baat ka intezaar kar rahi hain ki kab Huda unhe 'haan' karega date pe janey ke liye. To wo tujhey kya ghaas dengi?"

At this Yudi rolls his eyes.

Then Huda continues,

"To zaahir si baat hai, koi gaon ki gori hi hogi"

"You know what Huda...",

begins Yudi, but getting irritated, he dismisses the idea of explaining anything to Huda,

"Forget it!"

Alekh, Ali and Huda who were eager to listen to Yudi's reply, shake their heads on not getting any reply at last.

"Nautanki saala!",

mutters Alekh, looking towards Yudi.

Taking pity on Naina, Rajveer smirks a little, then turns to look towards Dr. Shalini,

"Date par chalna pasand karengi aap mere saath Dr. Shalini?"

This yet again shocks everyone present there. Dr. Shalini stares Captain Rajveer, open mouthed.
She does try to say something but fails miserably.

How dare he asked her for a date? Since when do they know each other? Since the time they started their life in KMA as Cadets. It's been so many years. And when the hell did she give him an impression that she would like to go on a 'date' with Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat? There is a fine line between best friends and lovers. And he dare not cross it, unless he wants to see another side of Dr. Shalini. Which she is sure he won't enjoy at all!

Plastering a smile on her face, crossing her arms on her chest, Dr. Shalini asks Captain Rajveer, tilting her head a little to the left, in a sugar-coated voice,

"Kya kaha aapna?"

And as Captain Rajveer was about to answer Dr. Shalini in an equally sugar-coated voice, Naina unable to take this anymore, bursts out in anger,

"What the hell?"

Rajveer's face falls on hearing Naina's shout and he automatically turns to look at her.

And as if Naina worded Dr. Shalini's feelings, Dr. Shalini points towards Naina her index finger, turning to look at her and in an all serious tone, she says,

"Exactly!"

Then turning back towards Captain Rajveer, creasing her brows, Dr. Shalini asks him,

"What the hell Captain?"

Creasing his brows, acting to be innocent, he stares Dr. Shalini, then turns to look towards the class, maintaining the same look, then back towards Dr. Shalini, he says,

"Issi baat ka mantra jaap raha tha koi aaj subah!"

"What?",

utters Dr. Shalini, out of shock.

"Kya?",

utters Pooja at the same time.

Dr. Shalini and Pooja look towards each other, then lower their pairs of eyes.

"Ye... ye aap kya keh rahe hain Captain?",

asks Dr. Shalini, lowering her eyes, embarrassed.

"Haan! Haan, Dr. Shalini, main jhoot nahi keh raha",

then turning to look towards Yudi, he asks,

"Hai na Yudi?"

Now this indeed drifts each ones attention! Yudi gestures through his index finger 'ek minute!' He tries to think of an excuse, why was he muttering Dr. Shalini's name! But as usual he finds himself at loss of replies.

"Oye Yudi, tu to keh raha tha ki tu course ka kuch learn kar raha hai! ",

utters Pooja, who already knew that Captain Rajveer is talking about Yudi.

Pulling Pooja by her shoulder, Naina forces Pooja to look towards her,

"What the hell Pooja?"

Pooja looks at Naina quizzically.

"Kya hua Naina?",

she asks, unable to understand, why is she glaring her?

"Tu ne yahan apni copy kyun rakhi mere samne?",

asks Naina, her anger visible in her voice.

Looking towards the copy kept in front of Naina, Pooja bites her tongue, sheepishly.

"Wo tu mujhse jaldi likhti hai na, socha mera kaam tu kar degi, par yahan to class ho hi nhi rahi!",

saying that Pooja roles her eyes.

"Iss mein ek loose sheet bhi hai, dhyan se",

reminds Pooja.

As she says that, Naina goes red out of embarrassment, she lowers her eyes.

"Waise tu isliye chillaiyi?",

asks Pooja.

"Haan, haan wo...",

stammers Naina.

Standing at his place, Rajveer notices how flushed up Naina looks. This brings a smile on his face. But what he doesn't understand is what's exactly is the matter? Why is she reacting this way.

"Naina, yahan itni important baat discuss ho rahi hai and tujhey ek page ki parhi hai?",

asks Pooja, creasing her brows.

"Nahi... mera matlab...",

Naina tries to think of an answer. Failing to do that, she glares the culprit!

Dr. Shalini notices how she is throwing daggers on Captain Rajveer through her eyes. Dr. Shalini lowers her eyes and tries to hide her blush and clears her throat.

"Anyways can we get back to the point?",

asks Dr. Shalini and rolls her eyes.

Her query attracts everyone's attention.

"Yes Ma'am!",

say all the cadets in unison.

"Good! So where were we?",

asks Dr. Shalini.

Looking anywhere but towards Captain Rajveer, she says,

"Mujhey yaad nahi!"

Then turning to look towards Captain Rajveer, plastering a smile on her face, Dr. Shalini says,

"So Captain Rajveer, aap already mera bohot sara time waste kar chukey hain, mujhey ab class leni hai so... tata!"

Plastering a smile on his face too, laughing a little, Captain Rajveer asks,

"Dr. Shalini kya aap mujhey itna bewakuf samjhti hain ki main apke inn baaton mein aa jaunga?"

"What do you mean Captain?",

asks Dr. Shalini.

Crossing his arms over his chest, with a smile on his face, his eyes twinkling with excitement like a child, he stares Dr. Shalini and says,

"Hum date pe janey ki baat kar rahe the!"

This line succeeds in doing amazing things to Naina's inside. Her heartbeat increases yet again. She lowers her eyes automatically. This is not something she ever imagined, not even in her dreams. Dr. Shalini and Captain Rajveer? No! This can't be possible.

"Captain filhal main soch rahi hun ki kya hum apke iss room se jane ki baat karein?",

asks Dr. Shalini, trying to hide her flushed up state.

"Do you even know how it is sounding like?",

asks Dr. Shalini placing a lose tendril of her hair behind her ear, trying to hide her flushed up state.

Unable to take this any more, Captain Rajveer bursts out into laughter.
Raising his hands, surrendering, his head bowed, laughing continuously.

This is when Yudi speaks out at last, get out of his shocked state,

"Ma'am! Ma'am I swear, I swear mera wo matlab nahi tha?"

"Abey to kya matlab tha tera Yudiye?",

asks Huda, laughing, enjoying teasing Yudi as always.

"Dude! Tum beech mein mat bolo!",

says Yudi to Huda, pointing an index finger towards him.

This makes all to laugh.

Standing at her place, Dr. Shalini indicates with both her palms, nodding with closed eyes, that she understands this all was just a joke.

"Cadet...",

begins Dr. Shalini, only to get interrupted by Yudi.

"No Ma'am! I am telling you, ye sub log mujhey apki nazron mein girana chahte hain. But main aisa nahi hone dunga!",

says Yudi, getting impulsive.

"I... I understand Cadet Yudi. Don't worry aap meri nazron se bilkul nahi girey!",

Dr. Shalini tries to assure Yudi. But Yudi, blazing with anger continues blabbering,

"Nahi Ma'am... apki inki baat bilkul mat sunna. Ye log jalte hain ki hum dono ki itni strong bonding hai. Aur aap ko pata hai kya Ma'am..."

As he was about to continue with his blabber which makes everyone to laugh, Dr. Shalini shouts to make this all end,

"Yudi!!!"

And everyone goes quiet, not daring to utter even a word, not even Captain Rajveer.

"Relax! Okay Cadet?",

says Dr. Shalini, smiling calmly, holding Yudi by his left shoulder.

Yudi nods his head slowly, twice.

Smiling, Captain Rajveer turns Yudi towards him and explains to him,

"Cadet Sahani, jo dil mein wo kehna koi galat baat nahi hai. Aur ye kisne kaha ke date par humesha do(2) pyar karne wale hi ja sakte hain?"

Then addressing the class, he says,

"Yaar humne jo 'date' ko haua bana rakha hai, mujhey nahi pata hum aisa kyun karte hain! For me 'date' is simply kisi ke sath ghumne jana. I mean main khud Dr. Shalini, Dr. Mishra...",

winking, blushing, he adds,

"In fact Lolita Ma'am ke sath bhi gaya hua hun!"

All stare him open mouthed.

Lowering his voice, looking at the class sheepishly, he says,

"Suriji ko mat batana, warna aaj khana nahi milega!"

This makes all to laugh. Naina lowers her eyes, blushing, admiring his cuteness.

Laughing, Rajveer looks towards Naina. As their eyes meet, Naina's laughter starts fading away gradually and a smile replaces it.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina violin tune begins)

~*~*~

At 12 noon

Rajveer and Naina happen to cross the corridor at the same time, from opposite directions, which results in both of them coming face to face.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

Taking baby steps, staring each other throughout with a blush on their faces they walk towards each other.

Reaching him Naina stares him with a little smile on her face. She waits for him to speak up something. Involuntarily, this meeting reminds them of their previous meeting when they coincidentally met each other, when Rajveer was in black and Naina was draped in red saree. The mere color combination that they coincidentally had that day oozed so much passion. Where red signfies that she is not afraid of anyone, there on the other hand black signifies that he is ready to face boldly all the obstacles that come their way in their course of lives, where they are going to stay together forever.

Remembering that day, both of them lower their eyes and blush.

Today, unlike that day, there is no informals on either sides. They rather are in their regular uniforms.

Uniforms, that remind them of their status in the academy.

But unlike that day, Rajveer no more is hesitant in showing to her, his affections. If not turned completely bold at showing his emotions, but he is learning of course. It will take time, it is not that easy to let go off one's natural self. But he is Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, he is never afraid of learning. And when the teacher is intelligent, beautiful, confident Naina, then how can he ever fail in learning something? Just like Naina never does, because it is Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, the perfect and the best teacher!

So now they have role reversal? Do they? Can we address them as Captain Naina Ah Singh and Cadet Rajveer Singh Shekhawat?

"Naina!",

he addresses her.

And this yet again takes them back to the same day! This makes both of them to laugh and feel shy. Slowly, they look back towards each other.

"Tum yahan?",

asks Rajveer.

"Class ja rahi thi!",

replies Naina, staring him throughout, with a little smile on her face.

Her stare does amazing things to his inside which he tries to calm down.

Appreciating her through his expressions, he compliments her,

"You never miss any class, do you?"

Blushing, then sighing, Naina says, boldly,

"Haan taki koi teacher ye na kahein ki main unki wajah se apni parhai se distract ho rahi hun!"

Unable to understand what she meant, Rajveer creases his brows,

"Kis ki wajah se? Main kuch samjha nahi!"

To this Naina keeps staring him and shows to him, her book.

This makes him to laugh, but soon his mood changes and he gets alert,

"Arey, main to bhool hi gaya main to tumhare class mein hi ja raha tha!"

Then looking towards her, Rajveer shakes his head in slow succession. The blush on his face out of embarrassment on having forgotten about his class, makes him look adorable in the eyes of Naina.

Looking back towards her, Rajveer says,

"Chalo saath mein hi chalte hain!",

and walks ahead crossing her.

"Agar itni si baat nahi yaad rakh sakte to lights out ke baad milne wali baat kya yaad rakhenge?",

utters Naina, under her breath.

Turning to look at her, he stares her for some moments, then smirking he says,

"Yaad to mujhey bohot kuch hai Naina. I guess hum iss barey mein abhi na hi baat karein to acha hoga"

Arching a brow, Naina says,

"Uss barey mein main apko bhulne dungi bhi nahi!"

Turning completely, so that he is facing her again, smiling, Rajveer asks,

"Naina mujhey aisa kyun lag raha hai ki jald hi tum bohot embarrass feel karne wali ho?"

"Embarrass?",

asks Naina, creasing her brows, unable to understand, why would she be embarrassed?

"Hmmm... hmmm...",

says Rajveer, laughing, enjoying teasing her.

"Jahan tak mujhey yaad hai aap drink nahi karte?",

says Naina, almost asks, looking at him through the corner of her eyes.

This indeed catches Rajveer's attention, he widens his eyes - she has the guts to say that!

Smiling, he answers her query,

"Bilkul bhi nahi Cadet Singh!"

His suddenly addressing her as Cadet Singh, when they are enjoying private chat drags Naina's attention.

Then he adds further,

"Main bilkul hosh mein hun, Cadet Singh!",

he emphasis on 'Cadet Singh'! This sinks her heart further, she has indeed offended him.

Feeling guilty about offending him, she asks lowering her voice, just to confirm,

"Hum raat ko mil rahe hain na?"

Arching his right brow, smiling, he asks,

"Kya aap milna chahti hain?"

(Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

A sweet smile stretches on Naina's lips, that promises a lot!

On the other hand, Rajveer's eyes twinkle, promising her that she can look forward to an amazing night, tonight.

Smiling, Rajveer says,

"Tumhe pata hai Naina, mujhey tumhari ek baat bohot pasand hai..."

This drags Naina's attention, that's the first time that he is directly going to praise her personally.

Looking intently into his eyes, Naina waits for him to continue, knowing that he would understand how eagerly she is waiting to listen to him!

Smiling, looking at her, he says,

"Tum mein typical ladkiyon ki tarah nakhre nahi hain!"

His confession makes Naina to burst out into a laugh.

"Iss mein hansne ki kya baat thi?",

asks Rajveer, creasing his brows.

"Apko... apko... pata hai typical ladkiyan kaisi hoti hain?",

asks Naina.

"Aur mujhey ye baat kyun nahi pata hogi? I mean theek hai ki Nan...",

he stops abruptly.

Naina notices how he goes red. And somehow Naina understands that this is not out of blush but out of afraid and nervousness, as if he has been caught red handed.

"Mera... mera matlab hai..",

Rajveer tries to explain her, what exactly he himself doesn't know.

"Bhaiya ke jane ke baad ghar ki beti aur beta dono mujhey hi banna parha. To shayad isliye kabhi kabhi bhul jati hun ki main exactly hun ko, unki beti ya unka beta!",

laughs Naina.

She desperately wanted to change the topic, sensing that there is something about which Rajveer doesn't want to talk. And she not at any cost wants to force him to speak about something that he doesn't want to share.

Her reply makes him to laugh too.

Her eyes convey to him that she understands him, he doesn't have to say anything.

"Aur waise bhi main Kanchanjunga Military Academy ki cadet hun, ye nakhre dikhana, sharmana ye sub mujhey shobha nahi deta!",

says Naina, showing herself to be carefree.

This melts Rajveer's heart.

He asks her,

"Such? Sharmana nahi aata tumhe?",

his eyes conveying her what exactly he is trying to tell her.

(Rajveer-Naina slow violin tune begins)

Not ready to feel uncomfortable under his gaze again, she reminds him without hesitation,

"Uss din mujhse zada aap sharma rahe the!"

"Kis ...",

as Rajveer was about to ask her, he suddenly remembers, and automatically his cheeks turn crimson red!

'Tum iss saree mein... I mean ye saree achi lag rhi hai! Tum iss saree mein... I mean ye saree tum par.. actually tum dono mil kar...'

He looks back towards her, trying too hard to stop blushing. Naina looks away and hides her smile. Her this gesture instead of calming him down makes him to blush even more.

"Ahmm... main chalta hun!",

he says, trying to avoid eye contact and desperately wanting to escape this situation.

Controlling her laughter, although failing to do so, Naina nods her head quickly, not in a state to utter anything.

As he leaves, Naina bursts out into a laughter. Blushing, she shakes her head.

At 1500 hours

Chaubey knocks the door of Rajveer's room.

"Come in!",

he orders, whilst working on his laptop.

"Kya Sir aap bhi pura din kaam-kaam-kaam! Kabhi class, to kabhi ye laptop!",

complains Chaubey.

"Kya Chaubey Sahab aap bhi pura din kaam-kaam-kaam! Kabhi mess, to kabhi mera khayal!",

says Captain Rajveer, smiling.

This in return makes Chaubey to smile with his full heart.

Placing the tray containing a bowl full of lightly toasted breakfast cereals in milk and some fresh fruits, Chaubey says,

"Sir apka dhyan rakhna meri zimmedari hai!",

and his voice reflects how much he enjoys serving Captain Rajveer in anyway and every way possible.

To this, smiling, Captain Rajveer replies, with a pinch of proudness in his voice,

"Aur iss desh ka dhyan rakhna, meri zimmedari!"

"Bilkul Sir!",

says Bunty Chaubey, feeling proud of Captain Rajveer.

"To aap apna kartawya nibhaiye..."

Then pointing towards Captain Rajveer's plate, indicating him to have it, Bunty says,

"Aur hum apna!"

Smiling, Captain Rajveer shakes his head.

"Main tumhe mana kyun nahi kar pata?",

he asks, amazed as he thinks how each time Bunty succeeds in feeding him, inspite of his repeated denials!

Blushing, Bunty says,

"Kyunki main apki fikr karta hun. Aur jab koi apki fikr krta ho, to aap chah kar bhi ussey mana nahi kar patey kisi cheez se!"

This reminds Rajveer of Naina. He suddenly turns serious, then blushing, he lowers his eyes.

At night after lights out

Rajveer paces around in his room. Although he has asked her to meet him after lights out but deep down he is nervous, not only about meeting her, but also about her safety. He hopes that she doesn't get caught by anyone. But is she a kid? Of course not! She is his brave Naina, she obviously knows how to deal with a situation. Thinking about it brings a smile on his face.

'Jaane kya wo keh gayi,
ankhon ki bhasha mein?'

All those moments flash in front of his eyes in a row, when Naina's eyes spoke volume.

'Dil mera doley,
aasha-nirasha mein'

He remembers how after returning to his room that night, after the encounter with Naina, wearing the red saree, he regreted of remaining quiet. He wanted to say so many things to her, so why did he suddenly went numb? He couldn't even praise her beauty properly. Why?

'Uss par jaan lewa,
ye tanhai sajni'

He becomes restless. The calmness in his room, makes his heartbeat to accelerate. He tries to divert his mind, thinking if there is any pending work which he might complete, which can help him to distract his mind. But his mind, clouded with her thoughts, makes it impossible to think about work! He starts taking deep breath, trying to control his anxiety. Turns his hand into a fist, scolding himself silently, ordering his heart to behave!

Naina walks towards his room, taking each step slowly, hesitating to reach him.

'Ho... ho... ho... ho... ho... ho.. ho.. ho..
Dheeraj dhar teri...
Ayi re ayi sajni.'

Standing outside his room, Naina at first hesitates to get in. But clearing her mind, calming down her rate of heartbeat, she slowly pushes the door open.

'Aye bina teri,
reh nahi payi sajni'

She raises her eyes and finds Rajveer standing near the window. She enjoys seeing him enjoying the cool breeze, with his eyes closed.

But something makes him aware of her presence around him. Opening his eyes, he turns to find her standing at the thresh of the door.

'Aney se tere,
chandni si chayi sajni'

He sighs inaudibly, not wanting her to know how desperately he was waiting for her.

He keeps staring her, waiting for her to reach him.

Walking slowly, Naina reaches him and stands with him. Rajveer after looking at her gets back, staring her continuously, and with in moments his back touches the wall. With his arms folded on his chest, Rajveer smiles, happy on seeing her at last properly.

After few moments of silence, Rajveer asks,

"Itna mann hai POINT 1857 janey ka?"

As soon as he asks this, Naina looks towards him. Her eyes reflects how disappointed she is on listening this! She is of course not here as she is desperate to go to POINT 1857, can't he understand this much? But can't she understand this that he is just teasing her? He wants to listening to something which she is avoiding to tell to him!

Annoyed, she looks away.

This makes Rajveer to laugh, a little.

"Chalo aao baithte hain!",

he suggests.

Then walking forth he reaches the area which divides his sleeping area and sitting area. He asks,

"Kahan baithogi yahan...",

pointing towards the sofa.

"Ya yahan?",

pointing towards the bed.

Asking that, Rajveer looks towards her intimately. Then staring her he says,

"Waise sofey se bed ka raasta to tum bohot pehle tai kar chuki ho!"

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

They remember the day when before mentorship programme, Rajveer had called her to his room. How at first she was using the sofa but as she got indulged in story telling, she got excited and came to sit next to Rajveer.

This memory makes both of them to blush and laugh.

Not finding it appropriate to sit next to him on the bed, Naina chooses using the sofa over bed. Smiling, Rajveer obliges.

They sit face to face, just like the last time!

"So how was your day?",

he asks to begin the conversation.

"Acha tha!",

as soon as she says that, she remembers how the whole day she was imagining him being around!

"Aur apka?",

she asks, smiling, getting back to her normal self.

"Acha tha!",

he replies with a smile.

"Classes theek gayin sari?",

he asks, gauging her reactions.

"Haan almost! Kuch classes mein bohot bore hui!",

she says, creasing her brows, out of irritation on remembering Major Nayyer's class.

Eyeing her, while her eyes are cascaded down out of shyness, he asks her,

"Dr. Shalini ki class kaisi rahi?",

and he busies himself in filling a glass with water. But his attention remains on her reactions.

He notices how suddenly, her breathing has turned shallow. There is indeed something that she is hiding from him.

Forwarding the glass filled with water, he looks towards her and waits for her to drink it. But she shakes her head into negative, out of nervousness.

Knowing that she is nervous and needs to drink water, he picks it up and forwards his hand towards her, almost like forcing her to drink. Not having any other option apart from accepting it, she accepts it and slowly takes a sip from it. But as the water goes down her throat, Naina realizes how much thirsty she is! This, Rajveer realizes is out of nervousness. This brings a smile on his face, thinking, how can she even get nervous in front of him?

"Hmm...??",

he prompts, looking towards her, raising his brows.

"Achi thi!",

she says, her eyes cascaded down. Not having courage to face him.

Rajveer keeps staring her, then asks calmly,

"Kya soch rahi thi tum Naina?"

"Main... main to kuch nahi soch rahi!",

she answers hurriedly.

"Maine ye nahi pucha ki tum kya soch rahi 'ho', maine ye pucha ki tum kya soch rahi thi?",

he says, emphasizing on 'thi'!

This catches her attention, how does he know? After taking a few sip of water, she places the glass on the table in front of her. Nervously, she looks towards him.

"Aapko... aapko... kaise pata ki main kuch soch rahi thi?",

she asks, feeling strange.

Sighing, looking towards her, with a smile on his face, he shakes his head.

"Main aya tha tumhari class mein!",

he tells her.

This succeeds in making her to blush out of shyness and nervousness. Getting restless, she asks him,

"I know! To?"

"Do (2) bar! Ek baar subse baat hui tab. Aur usse pehle ek baar jab aap kisi ke khayalon mein khoyi hui thi!"

His reply makes her to blush harder.

"Tumhare face par ek constant smile thi, jaise tum kuch acha soch rahi ho! Kisi khaas ke barey mein soch rahi ho!",

he emphasizes on 'khaas'!

His reply makes her to blush harder, if blushing harder was possible! Why is he doing this to her? Can't he understand, it's getting difficult for her to take it anymore?

His question reminds her of her questions that she wanted to ask him, only if he will stop putting the spotlight on her every now and then can she give herself the courage to ask him those questions!

"Kha... khayalon mein? Nahi... nahi to!",

says Naina, hesitantly.

Rajveer looks at her, serious. Thinking, why is she lying?

Then he reminds her, looking at her, all serious,

"Pooja ke ussi lose sheet par kuch likh rahi thi tum?"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Staring her for sometime, while her eyes are cascaded down out of shyness, which Rajveer by mistake takes as guilt. But what could possibly the reason for her feeling guilty, thinks Rajveer.

"Naina...",

he begins to ask again but gets interrupted by her forwarded hand. Her hand turned into a fist.

Rajveer at first looks towards her, his expressions all serious, as if he is on a mission. Then slowly he reaches her fist, to open it. Rajveer discovers that she has locked her fist tightly. Fully determined to open it, taking it as a mission in hand, he busies himself to open her fist.

Seeing his determination, Naina who had been controlling her laugh for so long begins to laugh a little, still trying to control herself, fearing he won't like her laughing at him. Rajveer doesn't budge from his little mission.

Soon the controlled laughter turns into full fledged laugh. Rajveer starts laughing a little too, out of embarrassment of failing in his mission. But he doesn't give up yet.

"Ch... ch... ch... Captain Rajveer ek chota sa mission nahi complete kar pa rahe? Haar rahe hain? Wo bhi apni hi student se?",

mocks Naina.

Rajveer although losing the battle, enjoys her tease.

Laughing, sarcastically, he says,

"Jeet to main panch minute mein sakta hun, par tum kahogi beyimani ki!"

Saying that, he looks into her eyes intently and arches an eyebrow, daring her to give him the freedom to do so!

(Rajveer-Naina slow violin tune begins)

With an expression that gives the impression that she is impressed by his confidence, she dares him back, saying,

"All the best!"

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins as they stare each other. Both having smiles on their faces. Their eyes twinkling with excitement)

Never breaking the eye contact, Rajveer extends his hand to start with his mission.

(Rajveer-Naina tune continues throughout)

His merely placing his index finger of right hand on her fist, tightens her muscles. Rajveer doesn't fail to feel it. This makes him to smile.

"Aap hans kyun rahe hain?",

asks a frustrated Naina. Frustrated, because this little touch of his is doing amazing things to her inside. This touch is somehow different from the touch when innumerable times he, her teacher, her mentor, has held her by her shoulders, giving her strength and courage to face the adversities. This touch isn't to give her strength, it is rather to make her go weak! Weak, because he knows it won't be so easy to open her fist. Her weakness would become his strength here today. Today they are not a team but two individuals who are competing with each other. Only that, whoever wins between the two, it would be a victory for the other as well. And loss? Well they don't have time to moan on the loss of any of the both competitors! They would rather celebrate the victory!

He looks towards her slowly, having an infectious smile on his face. Taking a deep breath he says,

"Kuch nahi Naina!",

the smile constant on his face. His answer irritates her further. All this makes her unconsciously to lose a little, the tightness of her fist. He does feel that!

Then he very slowly starts trailing her fingers. He notices how this little torture makes her breathing shallow. He indeed knows how to torture Naina. Because it is nothing but a torture, a sweet torture.

"Aap... aap ye kya kar rahe hain?",

she asks, almost like a whisper, as her shallow breathing makes it difficult for her to utter the words clearly.

"Kya kar raha hun?",

he asks focusing his eyes on to her fist, creasing his brows as if he is indeed unable to understand, what she is talking about!

"Mera haath choriye!",

she says, almost like whisper.

"Arey haath chor dunga to mera kaam kaise chalega? Mera sub kuch to tumhare haath mein hai!",

he says, his focus still on her fist, never looking towards her.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins, as Naina stares him with her eyes wide open with utter surprise on listening to his words)

Smiling, still trying to make her to give up. And he does feel her loosening her fist. And she opens it herself in front of him.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Rajveer looks at her quizzically. Why did she give up? She was clearly winning this game. Why did she do that then?

"Kya hua?",

he asks taking the paper from her that she had been holding. But he doesn't care to check what is written in that. Knowing the reason that why did she give up so easily is more important for him!

"Agar aap mujh par itna bharosa karte hain ki apne apna sub kuch mere hathon mein saunp diya hai, to main apko hurt kaise kar sakti hun? Aapka trust kaise tod sakti hun?",

she says. Her eyes tell, how much she mean these words.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

This swells Rajveer's heart with pride and love for her! Had it been a normal relationship between the both, then he surely would have hugged her, tightly. Wouldn't have let her go anywhere and would have showered all his love on her, just to make her realize that she is his, and only his!!!

But right now in the given scenario the only thing he can do is smile! Smile, to let her know how deeply her words have touched him. He knows she'll understand the depth of his feeling anyhow.

"Main bhi... main bhi tumhara trust kabhi nahi todunga Naina!"

And before he could even breath, after completing his line, Naina tells him,

"Mujhey pata hai!"

This sets his heart to beat at altogether different pace. She didn't even think once before uttering these words. This shows the depth of her feeling! How much she trusts him! Staring her for sometime, he lowers his eyes and blushes.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Showing her the paper, smiling a little, he nods his head a little, as a gesture of asking permission to open it. Smiling, Naina nods her head a little. He smiles back too. Sitting at his place, he opens the chit and reads out loud :

1. Apka din kaisa raha?

2. Aaj apne kis class ko kya parhaya?

3. Apne dinner kiya?

4. Apko chaye pasand hai ya coffee?

5. Kya aap kabhi kisi ke sath date par gaye hain?

After reading all the points, he laughs out loud. This makes Naina to feel shame. Has she behaved child like? Is it wrong to ask those questions? What kinda questions do they ask then to each other? Wait!!! Who? They are mentor and strategy, aren't they? What kinda question a mentor asks his strategy or a strategy asks her mentor? Is it what she wants to ask him? Well if it is so, then questions should be - may be how to mislead the terrorists and traitors? How to capture a traitor? Seriously, she wants to discuss all this with him right now? And he, would he enjoy answering these questions right now, at this hour of the day, when they are alone? Then what made him to laugh?

"Nai.. Naina tumhe ye sub yahan likhne ki kya zarurat thi?",

he asks still laughing.

"Apse puchna tha!",

she replies, her eyes cascaded down. She remains all serious, not having courage to meet his eyes when he is literally making fun of her emotions.

Getting a little serious, seeing that she is hurt, he very calmly, looking towards her, asks her,

"Ye tum mujhey aise bhi to puch sakti thi? Likhne ki kya zarurat thi?"

Creasing her brows, Naina looks towards him, hurt and irritated, she says,

"Kaise puchti? Sub bhul jati hun jab apke samne aati hun!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other. His eyes turn soft)

Lowering her eyes, she says,

"Ahmmm... mera matlab, mujhey pata nahi tha ki yahan kya hoga... I mean hum kya baat karenge... to..."

"To tum nervous thi?",

he asks, completing the sentence for her.

Naina looks towards him, hesitantly, and nods her head to a 'yes'.

"Iss mein nervous hone wali kya baat hai Naina?",

he smiles.

Smiling, looking towards him, Naina lowers her eyes again.

"Apko kya lagta hai bolti sirf apki band hoti hai jab main samne hoti hun? Meri band nahi ho sakti apke samne?",

her sudden boldness results in widening of his eyes. And he straightaway remembers the moment when he stammered, seeing her in the red saree!

Getting irritated and embarrassed, he asks,

"Tum mujhey baar baar wo din kyun yaad dila rahi ho? Aaj subah bhi tumne yahi kia!"

This makes her to laugh out loud. Then she says,

"Kyunki maine apka wo roop pehle kabhi nahi dekha tha!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

And she continues laughing, unable to stop herself. Trying to hide his embarrassment, he adopts the role of angry young man,

"Naina...",

he at first calls her in a low voice, looking at her. But she seems to be too busy laughing to hear him. He calls again, this time louder. This does catch her attention, she looks towards him but doesn't end laughing. This raises the mercury of his anger.

"Naina please stop laughing!",

he says sternly.

And she stops right away, turning serious. She stares him. Has she offended him? She was just joking. She didn't mean to hurt him.

Nervously, she apologizes,

"I.. I am sorry. Main to bus mazak kar rahi thi!"

Still angry that she laughed, he scolds her mildly,

"Naina main apni feelings itni aasani se kisi ke saath share nahi karta. Kisi ke samne nahi dikhata. Uss din...",

he lowers his eyes and continues.

"...Uss din, wo sub kuch itna suddenly ho gaya ki... mujhey... I didn't know how to react!",

he says, honestly.

"Ya fir hum ye kahein ki aap humesha strategies bana kar communicate karte hain. Par uss din apko strategies banane ka mauka hi nahi mila!",

says Naina, her cheeks heating up out of anger.

"Naina...",

he says softly, trying to make her understand.

"Shayad mujhey uss jagah se janey se pehle ye jaan lena chahiye tha ki kahin Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat to wahan se nahi ja rahe?",

she says out of anger.

"Behave!",

he warns, looking at her sternly.

"Warna? Warna kya karenge aap? Mujhey POINT 1857 nahi le jayenge?",

she asks, prepared for the negative answer.

Smirking, Rajveer says,

"POINT 1857?"

Naina looks at him quizzically. What is going on in his mind, she doesn't understand!

Getting up he walks to his left, leisurely. Naina gauges his each action and waits for him to say something. Is he about to say, that he never meant to take her to POINT 1857 again? So why are they doing this? All this deal they made of meeting after lights out?

"Naina tumhe wakai mein lagta hai ki...",

as he was about to continue, someone knocks the door. This alerts both of them. Getting nervous, that they might have got caught, they look towards each other. Rajveer gestures her not to worry.

He signals her to stay there. Getting out of his bedroom, he signals her to lock it and warns,

"Jab tak maina kahun, kholna mat darwaza!"

She nods her head. After satisfying himself that she is indeed fine and secure. Rajveer walks towards the main door and opens it to find Dr. Shalini standing there, wearing her night dress.

"Dr. Shalini aap?",

he asks, slightly panicked, is she fine? Does she need something?

But Dr. Shalini doesn't reply. Pushing him at a side she walks inside his room. This alarms Captain Rajveer.

"What is up with her? Ye...",

that suddenly he remembers, she sleep walks sometimes. Thinking about it he rolls his eyes. Feeling relaxed that there is no serious issue here to deal with. He smiles, thinking about her.

As he was smiling, thinking about her, Dr. Shalini reaches the door of his room where Naina is waiting for him. At first she pushes the door. But when it doesn't open, she knocks.

Naina, who is waiting for him inside, thinking that it's Rajveer, opens the door. She gets stunned to find Dr. Shalini instead of Rajveer. And she gets so nervous that she straight away starts explaining herself, her eyes cascaded down feeling ashamed as if she has committed some sin!

"Ma'am wo... iss mein inn ki koi galti nahi hai. Main khud hi ayi hun yahan. Actually neend nahi aa rahi thi, to socha inn se akar mil lun. Coincidently ye jagey hue the to isliye... Aap kahengi to main abhi chali jaungi Ma'am. Bus aap please kisi ko ye baat mat batana. Ma'am apko pata hai na mentorship camp ke baad kya hua tha! Main nahi chahti ki inke upar koi bhi ungli uthaye".

Her confession touches his heart, she does care about him.

"I promise main ab kabhi inse aise milne nahi aungi. Aap mujhey punishment bhi de sakti hain. Agar aap kahengi to main inse purey hafte tak baat nahi karungi, I promise!"

Now this, turns his mood to exact 180 degree! To this Rajveer creases his brows.

Naina notices that Dr. Shalini is looking different. She is not looking her normal self.

"Ma'am?",

she addresses her, calls her hesitantly.

On getting no reply from her, Naina tries to understand what possibly could be the matter with her. Her reactions, as she tries to sort out the matter, somehow Rajveer find them quite adorable. He smiles secretly, enjoying seeing her nervous.

Shaking his head, keeping his anger and disappointment at a bay, Rajveer laughs. Whatever it is, he finds it cute. A nervous and puzzled Naina can be seen in rare occasion. Most of the time she is all confident. No doubt he admires her for her confidence but sometimes he should get a chance to see other shades of Naina too!

He walks to Naina and says,

"Relax Naina, inhe neend mein chalne ki bimari hai!"

He looks towards Naina and smiles a little.

"Oh...",

she says, then remembers,

"Han mentorship camp ke time bhi to yahi hua tha!",

she smiles, thinking about the incident. He smiles back. None making fun of Dr. Shalini, but somehow the memory brings a smile on their faces.

Walking behind Dr. Shalini, he holds her by her shoulder and says,

"Main inhe yahan leta deta hun, hum bahar chalte hain".

This takes her by surprise. She asks in a state of surprise,

"What? Aap inhe yahan, apne bedroom mein rakhenge?"

"Haan to?",

he asks, quizzically. Then suddenly understanding her meaning, he widens his eyes and blush, then smiling, he says,

"Relax Naina, main yahan nahi ruk raha. Main tumhare saath bahar ja raha hun!"

Understanding her words had double meaning, and he understood the wrong meaning, she blushes too and lowers her eyes, then says,

"Nahi... nahi... mera... mera wo matlab nahi tha! I mean agar Ma'am yahan rahengi, to main bohot uncomfortable feel karungi!

"Kyun? Iss mein uncomfortable feel karne wali kya baat hai? Hum baat hi to kar rahe hain!",

he says, keeping a check on his voice, he doesn't want to wake Dr. Shalini up. His twinkling eyes tell how his mind is going in the wrong direction! Blushing, with no smile on her face, she lowers her eyes. His constant gaze makes it impossible for her to look back towards him. He certainly enjoys this.

Smiling, he lays Dr. Shalini on his bed and covers her with a blanket. Then turning to look towards Naina, he asks,

"Chalein?"

They walk out of his room to the sitting area of his room. Taking their seats as they were sitting earlier before Dr. Shalini came there, they look towards each other.

Lowering his eyes as if mustering courage to ask her a question that he wants to ask since a few days now, and even asked her the other day, he says, in a hushed voice, almost like a whisper, aware of Dr. Shalini's presence there,

"Naina, main tumse kuch puchna chahta hun!"

This drags her attention. Smiling, she asks, in a hushed voice as well,

"Puchiye!"

"Ahmmm... waise main ye baat pehle bhi puch chuka hun...",

he hesitates to ask.

Till now, Naina doesn't understand what he wants to ask. She looks towards him. He is nervous, she can make out. But why, this she fails to understand.

"Konsi baat?",

she asks.

"Dekho Naina please gussa mat hona. Tum jo kehna chahti ho freely bata sakti ho!",

he assures her.

Naina gets more alert.

"Apko jo puchna hai aap puch sakte hain. Bina kisi hesitation ke!",

she assures him.

Looking towards her, silently giving himself all the courage that he wants, he asks her again,

"Kya tum Huda...",

this time he didn't even have the courage to reach the word where he reached last time. He looks towards her, knowing that she will understand.

But Naina pretends to be oblivious, looking straight into his eyes, she asks,

"Kya main Huda se...? Kya??"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

"Tum janti ho main kya bolna chahta hun...",

he says.

Even before he could complete the line, she answers him back,

"Nahi! Nahi janti main ki aap kya kehna chahte hain!",

she says folding her arms on her chest, sitting straight.

Getting frustrated, he asks, raising his voice,

"Naina...",

that Naina holds his hand and nervously indicates him to decrease his voice.

"Shhh... dheere boliye, Shalini Ma'am jag jayengi!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina revolt tune continues)

Rajveer's eyes fall on her hand holding his hand. Naina's eyes follow his stare. And it skips her heartbeat, she is holding his hand! But is it the first time she is doing so? Of course not! So why does it feel so wrong doing it now? Has something changed? Why does it feel good to commit this mistake? If given an opportunity, she would like to repeat the mistake, why does she feel so? The silence in the room; his stare; the fact that they are meeting each other, secretly; all this result in increasing the heartbeat of the both, equally.

Naina releases his hand. Feeling extremely shy and embarrassed, she looks away, not in a position to meet his eyes.

(Rajveer-Naina slow guitar tune begins)

Rajveer after looking at her reactions, looks away too. He didn't want to make her feel uneasy.

"I... I am sorry!",

he apologizes, keep his voice under check.

Knowing that he is honestly apologizing, Naina smiles a little, still unable to meet his eyes.

"Aap aisa soch bhi kaise sakte hain?",

she asks, although in a low voice, but he senses her anger returning back.

"Naina subko aisa lagta hai...",

he was about to continue, when he gets interrupted,

"Subko aisa lagta hai to? Matlab ab apko subki baaton par bharosa hai aur meri baat par nahi?",

she asks, pissed off!

"Nahi Naina aisa...",

he begins to reply politely, but gets interrupted again.

"Lagta to subko ye bhi tha ki hum jaan bujh kar mentorship programme se late aye the! To kya hum jaan bujh kar late aye the?",

she asks, creasing her brows.

When he doesn't answer, she prompts,

"Bataiye?"

Rajveer looks towards her and shakes his head into negative.

"Subko aaj bhi ye lagta hai jaise hum dono wahan maze kar rahe the! Jaise ki aap kabhi chahte hi nahi the ki wo pal khatam ho! Jaise apko wo jo saza mili thi bilkul sahi mili thi! To kya wo saza sahi mili thi apko? Jaise ki aap mere saath wahan ghar basane ke sapne dekh rahe the! As if wahan hum dono apna task complete nahi kar rahe the balki apni love story complete kar rahe the! As if although hum duniya ko ye dikhate rehte hain ki Major Bhargava se hum kitni nafrat karte hain, but suddenly uss din wo humare liye 'villain' se 'hero' bann gaye because unhone hum par mehrabani kar di, humein akele time spend karne ka mauka de kar!",

she looks towards him, surprised out of frustration! And waits for him to reply.

"Boliye kya bolna hai apko?",

she says, still in anger, looking towards him.

Very cautiously, he dares to reply, without meeting her eyes, as if too afraid to look into her eyes,

"Waise main ek army officer hun, jungle mein ghar basane se mujhey to koi problem nahi hai!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Then slowly, taking risk, he looks towards Naina.

He finds her in a state of dilemma whether to laugh at his innocence and stupidity or shout at him for behaving so childishly.

"Aap... aap mazak kar rahe hain? Apko pata hai jab apko late aney ke karan punishment mili thi to mujh par kya beeti thi?",

she asks, almost shouting at him out of anger.

"Shh... dheere Naina, Dr. Shalini jag jayengi. And I am sure tum ye nahi chahogi ki unhe ya kisi ko bhi ye pata chaley ki tum, iss waqt, lights out hone ke baad, apne room mein nahi, balki, mere, yani ki ek 'male' teacher ke room mein, akeli ho. Aur agar Dr. Shalini hai bhi, to wo bhi puri tarah hosh mein hai nahi, neend mein hai!",

creasing his brows he continues,

"Waise... main soch raha tha ki agar wo neend mein hai, puri tarah hosh mein nahi hai, to... unka hona na hona ek jaisa hi manenge na sub?"

His this question sends chill down her spine! Just to make her more nervous he adds,

"Tumhe kya lagta hai, Brigadier Chandok tumhe kya saza denge?",

he asks, acting to be serious. Trying too hard, not to laugh.

Naina goes numb. Why didn't she think about Brigadier Chandok? Oh god! Is he serious? Would he punish her that hard towards which he is indicating? She starts thinking about it. Rajveer enjoys yet again, a nervous Naina. He certainly is lucky tonight, he got the opportunity twice!

Suddenly something comes to Naina's mind and a big smile streches on her lips. Rajveer looks at her quizzically. What's going on in her mind?

Smiling, she asks,

"Pehle aap mujhey ye bataiye ki apko kya saza milegi jab main unhe ye bataungi ki aap raat ko akele Dr. Shalini aur Dr. Mishra ke saath dinner karte hain?",

and arches a brow, daring him to answer.

Now this certainly grabs Rajveer's attention. The tone she is using here, the meaning she is trying to indicate towards, she shouldn't have done that! Leg pulling, he is all fine with that, but how could she think that he could ever think about anyone else, that way, except her?

Naina does notice the shift in his mood! This doesn't look the best of his moods!

"Kya kaha tumne? Firse kaho?",

he says, creasing his brows, all serious.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other. This time there is no softness in their eyes. Rather at one hand, Rajveer's eyes reflect his disappointment and anger and on the other, Naina's eyes reflect her fear. Fear, that he is hurt and coincidentally she became the reason. Fear, that he is angry on her and might not talk to her at all! No she didn't want this. She never wanted this!)

Naina doesn't dare to repeat it, knowing that he didn't really meant it when he asked her to repeat! It was rather a way to let her know that she is entering a wrong territory, a territory that doesn't exist at all, she is trying to create it! This is something he won't let her do, she should know it, when she knows him so well, so how could she think that he would entertain this idea of her?

"I... I am sorry mera... mera wo matlab nahi tha!",

she apologizes, staring him throughout. It becomes impossible for her to lower her eyes, out of fear. She wants him to relax and end this anger, she wants it desperately! She really didn't mean to hurt his feelings. And she doesn't want to miss the moment when he'll relax and will forgive her. This angry look is piercing her heart. She can never stand his anger. Is it that difficult to forgive her? Has she crossed the limit so far that it's difficult to return back now?

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune continues)

With his anger intact, with that scrutinizing look, he says, almost scolds her,

"Naina galti to tumne ki hai... Aur iski saza bhi tumhe milegi!"

His this statement sinks her heart further. She doesn't dare to revolt, she knows it's of no use! He will remain adamant about punishing her. But punishment? What possibly could be her punishment? How possibly could he punish her? This is surely not going to be a punishment for Cadet Naina Singh but for Naina! So this might turn out to be more difficult. She surely is not going to get a punishment of running on the field! Or skipping a meal or two! Hell, these were easy, she at least has idea about all these stuffs. But on personal front, whatever her punishment would be, she is hell sure that it's not gonna be easy.

"Saza?",

she asks, almost like a whisper, not having courage to go loud, not only because of Dr. Shalini's presence but also because she is afraid, she doesn't know what she is about to hear. But this she knows that he understands her more than anyone else here, so whatever might be her punishment he would be sure that it would hurt her!

"Tumhari saza ye hai Naina, ki kal hum purey din baat nahi karenge!",

he lets her know! With that infectious smile of his on his face, he stares her.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

At first this skips her heartbeat. It hurts her. How can she possibly spend a day without talking to him? She has never done that before, since the day when she started trusting him!

But Cadet Naina Singh took over Naina. And suddenly she turns confident, fine it's not a big deal if they are not going to talk for a day. Why would it matter to her? Not that she can't breath if she won't talk to her! Done then, she is up for the challenge! Bring it on Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, she is no child to get scared of your lil games!

Taking a deep breath, she gets up. Rajveer looks up towards the determined Naina. Slowly he gets up too, Naina forwards her hand,

"All the best Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat. The game is on!",

she accepts the challenge.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Smiling, looking at her with his twinkling eyes, he shakes hand with her.

"Ah... ah... Captain Rajveer aur Cadet Naina nahi. Rajveer and Naina. Main apni protegee Cadet Naina ya tum apne mentor Captain Rajveer se nahi shart laga rahi. Ye khel to Rajveer aur Naina ke beech mein hai!",

he tells her, smiling.

Naina widens her eyes first, surprised to know that! Then smiling, she nods her head, accepting the truth, the challenge. Doing so she let go off his hand but to her surprise, Rajveer tightens the hold, not letting her to go yet! This skips her heartbeat yet again.

~*~*~

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

"Ahmm... bohot der ho chuki hai, I guess ab tumhe apne room mein chaley jana chahiye!",

he suggests, looking towards her. His look tells her how he doesn't want her to go yet, but he is helpless.

Staring him for sometime, understanding his feelings, Naina lowers her eyes and nods a little. Then looking back towards him, not making any effort to get up, she looks towards him and they enjoy an eye contact!

(Slow Rajveer-Naina flute tune begins)

Getting up, followed by him, she wishes him good night to which Rajveer nods and greets her back, smiling a little. As she turns to leave something brings a smile on his face, an idea, a situation in hand, and he stops her abruptly, calling her,

"Naina!"

Naina turns to look towards him, her heat beating fast on it's own accord.

"Ahmmm... I guess tum theek keh rahi thi!",

he says.

Naina looks towards him quizzically.

"Kya theek keh rahi thi?",

she asks, unable to comprehend with his words.

Smiling, staring her for sometime, he says,

"Humein Dr. Shalini ko mere room mein aise nahi rakhna chahiye!"

"To kya aap such mein unhe yahan rakhne waley the?",

she asks, testing him.

Blushing, he looks towards her with the looks of helplessness.

This makes her to shake her head in a slow succession.

"Ahmmm... kya tum meri madad karogi inhe inke room tak pohnchane mein? Main nahi chahta subah koi bhi hungama ho iss baat ko lekar academy mein!",

he says innocently.

Pursing his lips, he waits for her reply.

Smiling, she nods her head into affirmative.

Together, they support a sleeping Dr. Shalini and soundlessly they walk towards her room.

Reaching there, they put her on to her bed and smile looking at each other on having completed their mission.

Leaving her room, Rajveer close the door of Dr. Shalini's room silently, after them.

Turning he looks towards Naina. But suddenly Naina notices how he has turned cold again towards her. Why?

Walking nearer to her, he tells her in a hushed voice,

"Ye mat sochna ki humare beech sub normal ho gaya hai ya main tumhe diya hua punishment bhul chuka hun!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Giving her a last look, which reflects his anger towards her, Rajveer leaves for his room, leaving a hurt Naina behind him.

Staring after him with sorrowful eyes, Naina leaves for her room.

Day 2 Morning 1000 hours

Rajveer reaches the mess for collecting his breakfast, that he finds the group of his favourite six cadets enjoying their breakfast. Rajveer notices how Naina is lost in thought and haven't touched her plate. Somehow he feels that it is because of him that she is not in a mood to have anything. He even notices that she hasn't yet noticed his presence there in the mess.

Something inside him forces him to make her aware of his presence there. Reaching them he greets all, smiling,

"Good morning cadets!"

They all reply in unison,

"Good morning Sir!"

But he notices, how the moment he greeted them, Naina came out of her reverie. First mission accomplished! Now she must know how it feels to get ignored.

"Hmm... so kya hai aaj breakfast mein?",

he asks them.

"Boring bread-butter aur dahi!",

replies Pooja, making face.

Chuckling, he asks,

"Iss mein bura kya hai?"

Pooja, making face, says,

"Aap kha kar dekhiye roz tab pata chalega!"

Smiling, he forwards his hand in front of Pooja and says,

"Lao do!"

Quickly, Naina picks up her loaf of bread and forwards it to him. Not because she doesn't want to have it, but because, she gets happy as she thinks about sharing her share of bread with him. Her heart beats faster, as she anticipates him having her share of bread, accepting it from her hand.

Not caring of even glancing at the bread, he repeats,

"Bread Pooja!"

Knowing that all will read what's going on between Rajveer-Naina, which is actually their personal matter, Rajveer, still staring Pooja, says,

"Maine tumse manga hai to tumhi se lunga!",

smiles Rajveer.

His comment dismisses the thoughts which were brewing up in the minds of all, apart from Alekh! He certainly smells it and eye the both. Smiling, Pooja helps him with her bread.

Naina who notices his ignorance, says,

"Pooja, tu mera le le! Mujhey bhook nahi hai"

and getting up she leaves, frustrated.

"Naina... kya hua? Sunn to!",

calls Pooja, behind her, tensed.

Sitting calmly, Alekh gauges Rajveer's reaction with a little smile on his face. Rajveer looks oblivious to what is going on with Naina. This succeeds in bringing a smile on Alekh's face.

Picking up another loaf of bread, he winks towards Huda and leaves. Alekh smiles more as he leaves. While others get tensed thinking about Naina.

~*~*~

Naina in anger walks out of the mess, and was about to walk to her room when she finds Captain Rajveer smiling and talking to an orderly at a distance from her. Naina stares him first with her brows furrowed, but as she finds him laughing, as if enjoying the on going conversation, her brows relaxe and a smile creeps on her lips, seeing him smiling. And her feet on their own accord steps towards him, her heart starts beating fast, excited to reach him. But suddenly she remembers the challenge, and the marks of happiness from her face vanishes and the lines of frustration and anger replace them.

'Nahi... main haar nahi manne wali!',

thinks Naina. And as she turns, she hears him laughing. The melodious sound of his laugh does amazing things to her insides. Her heart starts beating fast; her cheeks start warming up. She feels as if the whole world has turned mute except him! The only voice which remains audibal for her is his voice, the melodious sound of his laughter.

Inside, she dies to turn around and stare him for sometime long, but her determination to stay away from him as much as possible restricts her from doing so. This battle between her heart and her mind makes her weak. She turns her hands on either of her sides into fists, in order to control her desires - to turn around; look at him; walk to him and talk!

Controlling herself, she ignores his presence and walks away, towards her room, she turns another corner, that she gets scared on finding Rajveer standing there, resting his right shoulder on the wall and his arms crossed over his chest. His staring her takes her by surprise. She quickly lowers her eyes, not wanting to give him the pleasure of enjoying the eye contact. If he knows how to tease her by not talking to her; then she knows as well what would irritate him - her denial from doing something he wants to do to her!

This surely succeeds in causing him irritation. He believes that her eyes are the way to her heart. Her putting the barrier, is surely not acceptable to him.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Staring her constantly, he waits for her to meet his eyes. His face expression changes from relaxed to getting angry, with each passing moment. So she can resist him? Let's see uptil when? Rajveer waits for her to look towards him. Knowing it too well what he wants, Naina remains adament at her choice of not looking towards him! As he was going to take further step, they hear the footsteps of someone coming their way. Naina still not ready to look towards him, gets nervous on hearing the footsteps which keeps getting clearer. Whoever it is, is approaching them at an alarming rate. Her heart starts beating faster. But to her surprise she notices that Rajveer is all calm. Does he not feel scared of getting caught? But what is there to get afraid of? Oh, the position their standing in right now? Yes indeed, Rajveer not at any cost would like to get caught and cause her trouble on his account. But that surely doesn't mean that she can escape this situation! Holding her wrist, he pulls her to a dark seculded area.

'What the hell is his problem? Why is he suddenly behaving, abnormally? He surely has never been like this before! So what has gotten into him now?',

thinks Naina.

As they reach the area, Rajveer pushes her towards the wall, careful he doesn't want to hurt her! As her back touches the wall, her gaze constant on him, she creases her brow. She opens her mouth to ask him why is he doing all that, that Rajveer warns her to stay quiet, indicating through his index finger, raising his brows, widening his eyes a little.

Naina submits to his demand silently. Finding her accepting his demand, succeeds in relaxing his brows. Placing his hands on either sides of her face, hovering her, he enjoys the eye contact.

(Rajveer-Naina slow guitar tune begins)

The fact that she has been forbidden to talk, frustrates her to the core. She glares him, throwing daggers towards him through her eyes. No one has raised her frustration level to this much height before! He definitely knows, inside she is dying to talk to him, but he is not giving up torturing her. This thought frustrates her further.

When he gets satisfied that her frustration level has reached to it's peak level, he slowly puts his hand into his trousers' pocket, never ending the eye contact, a satisfactory smile comes on his face, seeing her frustrated. This frustrates her even more! Slowly, he brings out something from his pocket. Naina finds it impossible to end the eye contact, as if he has casted a spell on her.

He brings a chocolate in front of her, holding it in his hand, in between them. This is when Naina gets distracted by this intruder. She looks towards the chocolate. Rajveer doesn't stop staring her. The chocolate brings a smile on her face; her eyes twinkle like a child. She slowly looks towards him.

(Rajveer-Naina slow tune begins)

She finds him staring her and smiling.

"Mujhey...",

she was about to begin, when Rajveer again warns her silently. The sudden silent warning sends shiver down her spine and his constant gaze heatens up her body. The contrasting feelings become too much for her to endure and she shuts her eyes. As a result, the tears she had been holding at the back of her eyes come flowing down her cheeks.

He makes no effort to rub them off. Not because he is enjoying seeing her at such a vulnerable state, but because he doesn't want to touch her! Rajveer stares her and furrows his brows a little, just to make her aware that he is not liking it, seeing her crying. He drifts his attention to her tears, the looks back into her eyes. This tells her that he doesn't want to see her crying and wants her to rub off the tear. Understanding what he wants, Naina slowly rubs off her tears.

Staring her intently, he very slowly unwraps the chocolate, never ending the eye contact.

Unwrapping it a little, he takes it towards her to feed her and waits for her to have it. But a determined Naina crosses her arms over her chest and turns her face to her left, an indication that she is ignoring him. Rajveer still waits for her to change her mind. But it seems as if suddenly she is unable to read him; understand him. This irritates him, makes him angry.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Staring her, his eyes blazing with anger, not able to take her rigidness, her denial anymore, Rajveer holds her right hand, brings it forward, and places the chocolate in her hand. Glaring her for the last time, Rajveer walks away without caring to turn back and look towards her.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune continues)

'Naina agar tum ye dikhana chahti ho ki tum ziddi ho, to main bhi ziddi hun!',

thinks Rajveer as he walks away, through the corridor.

As he leaves, Naina, still standing at the same spot where he had left her, thinks,

'Main janti hun ki aap iss waqt bohot gussa hain mujh par. Par main wohi kar rahi hun jo aap chahte hain, jo apne mujhse manga hai. To fir aap gussa kyun hain? Apko to khush hona chahiye!'

Looking towards the chocolate, she smiles and leaves for her class.

~*~*~

Naina reaches Lolita Ma'am's class and sits next to Pooja.

"Oye Naina, kahan thi tu? Tujhey pata hai main kitni darr gyi thi? Mujhey tera signal hi nahi mil raha tha!"

"Ahmmm... Dr. Shalini ke saath kuch discuss kar rahi thi",

she lies and hopes, she'll accept her lie and will stop asking further questions.

Alekh, who is sitting in a relaxed position, his left arm stretched on the desk and right hand resting on his right thigh, eavesdrops on their conversation.

"Par Dr. Shalini ko to apun ne thodi der pehle yahan se jatey hue dekha. Aur tu to uske bohot der baad ayi. Dr. Shalini ke saath baat karne ke baad tu kahan gayi thi?",

asks Alekh from his seat.

The sudden question that too coming from Alekh skips Naina's heartbeat. She widens her eyes!

Without turning back, she replies to him, out of irritation,

"Alekh ab har baat bataun kya? Ho gayi late!"

"Han to tu itna bhadak kayeko rahi hai? Apun to bus aise hi puch raha tha?",

replies Alekh, and waits for her to reply.

His reply makes Naina to feel guilty, she really didn't mean to talk to him rudely! She mentally scolds herself for losing her calm.

Turning back she looks towards him, and with her innocent eyes, she silently apologizes for talking to him in that manner.

Smiling, Alekh shakes his head, indicating that he didn't mind at all.

(Alekh's background tune begins)

This swells Naina's heart and big smile stretches on her lips as she thinks yet again, how dear Alekh is to her!

'Tu apun ko boley, ya na boley Naina, apun janta hai tujhe kis shaks ki wajah se class mein aney mein der hui!',

thinks Alekh, smiling constantly.

~*~*~

"Pata nahi kya samjhte hain apne aap ko?",

mutters Naina, sitting at her place. Getting angry on remembering Rajveer.

Suddenly the whole incident that took place moments ago, flashes in front of her eyes. She blushes remembering that.

Lolita Ma'am begins with the class. Naina, with all her heart and mind tries to concentrate but the moment they spent together moments ago, doesn't end up flashing in front of her eyes. Then she remembers how numerous times, Rajveer has made her to laugh. Laugh, something which she had forgotten after Naveen's death. Something, which after receiving the joining letter from KMA, she thought, here she would never, not even for once will get an opportunity to smile, let alone laugh here! But first her friends, and now Rajveer, is giving her the reason to laugh, to blush every now and then!

Shutting her eyes tightly, blushing, Naina dismisses all the thoughts. Smiling, she looks at Pooja, sitting next to her and finds her blushing as well! This certainly skips Naina's heartbeat! Has she missed something here? Could she be so engrossed in her thought that she didn't hear Pooja getting applauded for something? This thought makes Naina to feel guilty. She slowly turns to look towards all. This again skips her heartbeat, she didn't expect this! All are studying seriously. There seems to be no trace that some important event took place here. So what is making Pooja to blush?

Very slowly, as if afraid of witnessing what comes forth, she turns again to check Pooja. Was it an illusion? She needs to confirm. But to her surprise, the smile, the blush were still there on her face. Naina indeed wasn't dreaming. This thought makes her to sigh in relief inaudibally. These days she is hallucinating a lot, so it wouldn't have been a surprise had Pooja not been blushing. But right now Naina needs to know what has gotten into her best friend?

She nudges her, waking Pooja up from her trance. Creasing her brows, Naina looks towards her and gestures her, nodding her head, asking, 'kya hua?'

This makes Pooja to blush harder. Lowering her eyes, Pooja, silently, pushes a sheet towards Naina. Naina, eager to know what's written in it quickly places the paper properly on her lap and starts reading.

The very first line, skips Naina's heart

- 'Meri pyari Pooja ji!'

Of course, of course she wasn't expecting the letter to be addressed to someone else. If it is with Pooja, it means she certainly owns the letter. But what exactly skips her heartbeat are two things, first the use of the word - 'pyari' and the word 'ji'! Naina knows very well who uses the suffix 'ji' after uttering every name! But expecting such a letter, a 'love' letter from Ali, this has to be a big surprise This is exactly what skips Naina's heartbeat!

Looking towards Pooja, with her eyes wide open, smiling, Naina mutters,

"Ali?"

Pooja shakes her head in affirmation, thrice in quick succession, blushing, lowering her eyes. Then slowly, she says,

"Aaj lights out ke baad milne bulaya hai!"

This skips Naina's heartbeat yet again. The smile from her face, vanishes altogether. She gets tensed!

'Agar... agar Pooja lights out ke baad Ali se milne ja rhi hai to main kaise jaungi? Pooja ko agar pata chal gaya to?',

thinks a tensed Naina.

Keeping her nervousness under check, she of course doesn't want Pooja to know what's going on between her and Rajveer! But what exactly is going on between them? Knitting her brows, she quickly dismisses the idea. She doesn't want to think about it!

'Main ye sub sirf POINT 1857 janey ke liye kar rahi hun, that's it!',

she reminds herself.

'Pooja aur meri situation bohot alag hai!',

she tells herself, silently.

Refraining herself from pondering further into her thoughts, afraid that she'll lose the battle going on against her heart, she shuts her eyes and shakes her head, clearing her mind.

Opening them, she clears her throat and asks Pooja, in a hushed voice, not forgetting that they are attending Lolita Ma'am's class,

"Pooja, tu lights out hone ke baad kaise jayegi? I mean Lolita Ma'am ne dekh lia to?"

"Dekh Naina main...",

Pooja begins to explain, all excited.

But to her dismay, Lolita Ma'am catches them talking.

"Cadet Ghai and Cadet Singh!",

she shouts at them.

This succeeds in skipping the heartbeats of both Pooja and Naina. They look towards Lolita Ma'am immediately.

"O teri...!",

mutters Huda, getting nervous.

"Abey ye jananiyan bhi na, gappey ladane se kabhi baaz nahi aati",

mutters Huda, sitting next to Ali.

"Inke dimag mein chaubiso ghante kuch chal rela hota hai. Kitni baar bol chuka hai apun Naina se ki kabhi kabar apne dimag ko shant bhi rakh lia kar, par nahi. Phokat mein museebat ko galey lagana to lagta hai bachpan se aadat hai iski",

mutters Alekh.

"Tum theek keh rahe ho dude. Uss din ye Major Nayyer ke class ke samne se guzar rahi thi, maine peechey se awaz laga di, to ruk gayi. Hum wahan uss mucchad ke class ke bahar baat karne lagey. Usne dekh lia. Aur tum to Major Nayyer ko jante hi ho, ladkiyon se to khasi dushmani hai uski. Aakar baras parhe Naina par. Pehla question pucha ki,

'Aap dono apni class attend na karke yahan kya kar rahe ho?'

I was about to reply, ki itne mein unka dusra question aa gaya,

'Cadet Sahani, auraton ko to adat hoti hai, faltu ki baatein karke apna waqt barbaad karne ka. Par aap to ek young man hain, naujawan purush, apko kya ho gaya? Inhone ek baar roka apko aur aap ruk gaye?'

Like hell main ruk gaya! How can he say ki Naina ne mujhey roka hai aur maine Naina ko nahi? I mean ye to aisa hai ki ladki dekhi nahi ke sara blame uss par dalna shuru. Trust me guys future mein jab hum soldier bann jayenge to agar kisi female soldier ke sath kahin ladayi ke maidan mein jana parha to please inn se bach kar rehna. Kahin koi soldier shaheed ho gaya to khamakhan uss female soldier par blame de denge, ki tum gayi thi, tumhari wajah se hi ye sub hua hai! And this won't be a surprise agar inhone uss female cadet se ye tak keh diya ki - 'tumhi ne gusse mein aakar isse maar dia!'

Anyways, I was about to reply, ki suddenly Jhansi Ki Rani, Miss Naina bol uthi -

'Haan maine hi roka tha Yudi ko Sir! Kahiye kya punishment hai meri?'

Damn, she was looking straight into his eyes!",

tells Yudi, shaking his head, as if he is living the moment again, right now.

"Abey kab ki baat kar raha hai tu Yudiye? Humein to iss barey mein kuch nahi pata?",

asks Huda, getting angry and tensed on listening to the incident.

"Hai ek din ki...!",

says Yudi.

~*~*~

Reaching Naina and Pooja's desk, Lolita Ma'am folds her arms over her chest.

"Cadets, kya aap please class ke saath share karenge ki aap dono kya baatein kar rahi thi? Hum bhi sunn lein?",

says Lolita Ma'am, anger visible in her voice.

Out of courtesy, Pooja and Naina get up. Pooja, nervously begins to explain herself,

"Kuch nahi Ma'am, hum to bus aise hi..."

"Aise hi kya, Cadet Ghai?",

scolds Lolita Ma'am raising her voice.

"Ma'am hum wo Major Nayyer ke class ka kuch discuss kar rahe the!",

replies Naina immediately, without giving a second thought!

After making the blunder, she slowly turns to look towards Pooja who is as shocked as Naina herself is after uttering those words. But now what is said, is said, she can't take her words back! Now the only thing she can do is wait to see the result, which she is hell sure would be a punishment! God, is it her sheer luck these days that she is getting punishments one after the other or is it that people enjoy seeing her getting punished? Naina secretly rolls her eyes on her own stupid thought!

"Really Cadet Singh?",

asks Lolita Ma'am in a sugar-coated voice.

Pooja and Naina look towards each other, helplessly.

Alekh shakes his head into negative, staring Pooja and Naina, feeling sorry for them as well as cursing them silently for being so stupid!

Yudi slaps his forehead, somehow able to anticipate the end result.

Ali stares them nervously, tensed that they will be seen as liable to punishment now.

Huda stares nervously too, trying to think of a away for their escape from the situation, but fails to think of anything apt.

"Chaliye cadets ek kaam karte hain, Major Nayyer ke paas hi chalte hain...",

says Lolita Ma'am in her strict tone.

Her words succeed in making them nervous!

"Unse puchte hain ki aisa konsa zaruri kaam diya tha unhone jo aap dono ko meri class mein hi complete karna tha? Ya kahin ye to nahi ki unhone hi aisa kaha ho ki mere class mein aap unka kaam karein?",

asks Lolita Ma'am maintaining the fake sweetness in her voice.

"Bataiye cadets! Agar aisa hai to main unse puch lungi and fir apko permission de dungi ki aap meri class mein Major Nayyer ka kaam karein. I won't object at all!",

says Lolita Ma'am, with a fake smile on her face.

"I am sorry Ma'am",

apologizes Naina.

But it seems to have no affect on her.

"No Cadet Singh, why are you being sorry? I am sorry but aap iss class ko ab attend nahi kar sakti. So please would you mind leaving the class, now!",

orders Lolita Ma'am, showing her anger now.

"Par Ma'am...",

Pooja begins to explain, but gets interrupted by a loud scolding.

"Out cadets, now!"

And Naina pulls Pooja with her. Pooja follows Naina, glaring at Lolita Ma'am.

"Ma'am ye galat hai...",

protests Huda, getting up, unable to take it anymore.

"Really? To ab aap mujhey sikhayenge Cadet Huda, ki kya sahi hai aur kya galat?",

scolds Lolita Ma'am.

"Ma'am...",

he was about to continue, that Ali holds his hand, refraining him to argue further. Huda turns to look towards him. Ali shakes his head into negative. Unwillingly, Huda settles down on his seat again.

~*~*~

Outside the class

Naina and Pooja blazing with anger stand outside the classroom as ordered by Lolita Ma'am, carrying their books in their hands, wrapped under their arms, upon their chests.

"Pata nahi kya samjhti hain apne aap ko? Itna bada bhi kya gunaah kar dia ki class se hi bahar nikal diya humein?",

says Pooja, out of anger.

"Kya farak parhta hai Pooja? Tu gussa mat ho, shant ho ja!",

consoles Naina.

"Shant ho jaun? Naina tu aise kaise aaram se bol sakti hai ke shant ho jao?",

asks Pooja, getting irritated.

Captain Rajveer happens to cross the horizontal corridor at that moment, when he hears Pooja's voice. He halts and finds Naina standing along with Pooja, outside the class. Knitting his brows, eager to know what's the matter, why are they standing there, he walks to them. This whole time his eyes sticks on Naina, who is unaware of his presence.

As he reaches them, he drifts his attention towards Pooja, acting to be totally ignorant of Naina's presence.

"Cadet Ghai aap yahan aise kyun khadi hain?",

asks Captain Rajveer, reaching them.

The fact that he mentioned only Pooja and not her, irks Naina. She looks away in anger.

"Haan Pooja please bata, ye hain na teri madad karne ke liye humesha ready!",

replies Naina, looking towards Pooja, ignoring Rajveer.

Rajveer fully aware how Naina is eager to talk to him ignores her altogether.

"Kya galti thi apki jo apko punishment mili?",

asks Captain Rajveer to Pooja.

Pooja at first turn to look towards Naina, unable to understand as to why is he behaving so cold towards her?

"Batao Pooja!",

prompts Captain Rajveer.

And the fact that he addressed Pooja without the prefix 'Cadet' irks her further. She exhales inaudibly but nothing goes unnoticed by Rajveer.

Nervously, Pooja tells him,

"Wo hum baat kar rahe the, isliye Lolita Ma'am ne..."

"What? Pooja tum log bachey ho kya jo aise class mein baat kar rahe the?",

asks Captain Rajveer, creasing his brows.

Pooja accepting her mistake remains quiet. Naina, accepts her mistake too silently by lowering her eyes, softening them.

"Chalo main baat karta hun Major Nayyer se!",

says Captain Rajveer and gestures them to move first.

Naina mummers,

"Ye acha hai pehle punishment pane ka karan bano, fir khud hi punishment se bachao!"

"Excuse me?",

asks Rajveer, knitting his brows, hearing her mummer.

Naina glares him. Rajveer unable to understand what made her to say that stares her, confused, then shaking his head out of anger walks towards their class.

"May I come in Ma'am?",

Pooja asks for permission, nervously.

Lolita Ma'am turns to look at her and admits her in.

Rajveer walks behind her and as he was about to enter, Lolita Ma'am commands to Captain Rajveer,

"Halt!"

And Rajveer as true soldier follows the command immediately.

Naina who was behind them, reaches late to the class and collides with Rajveer, unaware of what is going on inside. Rajveer half turns his head towards his left to look at her.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina flute tune begins as they look at each other)

Remembering that they are standing in front of the class they lower their eyes. Rajveer takes his attention back on Lolita Ma'am and says,

"Ma'am I know ki Cadet Pooja and Cadet Naina class mein baat kar rahe the and apne inhe punishment di hai, but I guess apko inhe ek mauka dena chahiye, I am sure they won't disappoint you".

"Disappoint Captain? The fact that itne badey ho kar bhi inhe class mein discipline maintain karna nahi aata, that itself is a big disappointment Captain".

At this Captain Rajveer, Cadet Naina and Cadet Pooja, all lower their eyes - Cadet Naina and Cadet Pooja out of embarrassment, and Captain Rajveer out of acceptance of the fact.

During all this, Naina feels nervous inside, thinking although she might get escaped from Lolita Ma'am's punishment, but at night when Rajveer and Naina would meet after lights out, he would surely discuss about this again. Then she won't have any reason to escape the situation. Somehow this realization makes her feel jealous of Pooja. But feeling herself stupid at thinking that way, Naina blushes and shakes her head silently.

"Sorry Ma'am",

apologizes Naina followed by Pooja.

At last Lolita Ma'am accepts their apologies. Naina and Pooja sigh in relief and smiles a little. Lolita Ma'am leaves. Pooja turns to thank Captain Rajveer,

"Thank you Sir!",

she smiles.

"It's alright cadet. But please next apni chattings class ke baad karna",

smiles Captain Rajveer.

Seeing Pooja feeling embarrassed, Rajveer thinks of changing her mood by teasing her, bending towards her, acting to be talking secretly, in a low voice, he asks,

"Waise kya baat ho rahi thi? You can share with me if you like?",

blushes and winks Captain Rajveer.

His question skips Naina's heartbeat.

"Ahmmm... kuch nahi.",

she replies automatically.

Rajveer does sense her nervousness.

Pooja looks towards Naina, blushing. Then turning to address Captain Rajveer, she says,

"Haan! Haan Sir! Kuch khas nahi aise hi",

smiles Pooja, blushing.

Sensing that something is cooking between them, which they don't want to share with him, Rajveer let go off the topic for the time being. But inside he promises himself that he would get the answers of all his questions from Naina tonight, by hook or by crook. Little does he know that Naina is way more eager than him for disclosing this little secret. It's just that, this is not the right time and place to discuss this.

This skips the heartbeats of all the three. Captain Rajveer widening his eyes, with a pinch of smile on his face, turns immediately to leave. Pooja and Naina, lowering their heads take their seats.

~*~*~

At night 2000 hours

All walk to the mess to have the dinner. Rajveer who is already present at the mess, standing at the counter, his left elbow resting on the counter slab and his neck bend towards left, with a mug filled with brewing coffee, placed on the counter slab, he looks towards the gate of the mess from where one by one all cadets enter for having their dinner.

Soon Yudi and Ali enter together, laughing and giving high five to each other. This catches Rajveer's attention for obvious reason. Following them enter Alekh and Huda. Huda calling out to Yudi,

"Abey such keh raha hun!"

Yudi gestures him, without turning, that he doesn't believe Huda. He is faking like always.

Rajveer smiles and his eyes yet again wanders towards the gate. His breathing becomes shallow. The fact that she hasn't entered yet, makes him impatient.

And in that moment, he sees, Naina and Pooja entering the mess.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

Rajveer notices how Pooja is blabbering non-stop and Naina seems to be oblivious of her presence. He finds her tensed, but why, he doesn't understand!

His eyes follow her. All of them take their seat. Rajveer notices how her chest is rising and falling rapidly. Something indeed is disturbing her.

Rajveer orders his dinner and walks to his favourite cadets.

"Good evening cadets!",

he wishes them.

"Good evening Sir!",

wishes the group of five.

Naina avoids looking at him or replying to his greeting. Rajveer giving her a quick glance focuses his attention on the rest five.

"Sir ayiye na humare saath dinner kar lijiye",

offers Yudi.

Smiling, Rajveer replies,

"It's okay cadet, you guys enjoy. Main already apna khana order kr chuka hun. Apne room mein hi kar lunga. Waise anyone wanna join me?",

asking that, he looks towards Naina through hia peripheral vision. Somehow Naina understands that he wants to have dinner with her. She takes a deep breath but avoids having an eye contact with him.

"Nahi Sir aap akele sukoon se khaiye, hum apki privacy disturb nahi karna chahte",

replies Huda, politely.

Smiling, Rajveer nods and wishing them good night he leaves for his room, glancing towards Naina for the last time. Naina doesn't look towards him at all.

As he leaves, Naina fills her spoon with her food and brings it towards her mouth, but ends up setting it back to it's place, without having it.
Why is it that he always has to mess up with her appetite?

"Pooja mere sir mein dard ho raha hai, main room mein ja rahi hun",

saying that she leaves for her room.

"Arey Naina par khana...",

calls out Pooja behind her, but she had already left.

"Pata nahi kya ho gaya hai issey, aj kal khane mein iska mann hi nahi lagta!",

says Pooja, shaking her head.

~*~*~

Naina walks towards her room in a state of confusion.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

"Kya karun jaun? Kisi ne dekh liya to?",

thinks Naina, hesitating to go to his room.

"Par wo mera intezaar kar rahe honge!",

she says, getting irritated by her current state of confusion.

Taking a deep breath, shutting her eyes, she opens them again, decision taken! She quickly gets ready and walks towards his room.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

She knocks the door, but he doesn't answer. She knocks again, but the result remains the same. Nervously, she slowly pushes the door open. And what she witnesses leaves her mesmerized.

At first she takes a step backward, afraid to enter. In these fraction of seconds she reconsiders her decision of coming there.

"I guess wo nahi hain yahan. Chali jati hun wapas. Kal kuch kaha to bol dungi ki sir dard ho rha tha so gayi thi",

she mummers, and half turns to leave when a voice arrests her at her spot.

"Tum mujhse jhoot bolna kabse seekh gayi?"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

This skips her heartbeat! Oh god! He is there but why couldn't she see him? Slowly she turns to look at him and finds him sitting at a corner on his side sofa, with a book in his hand which he is reading under the illuminated lamp shade.

They stare each other. Naina becomes self conscious.

"Ahmmm... mujhey laga aap nahi hain to...",

says Naina, hesitantly.

Rajveer stares her with a constant smile on his face, and asks teasingly,

"To tumhe laga tum bach gayi mujhse aj?"

(They continue staring each other. Rajveer-Naina tune continues in the background)

Setting the books at a side, he gets up looking towards her constantly. Reaching her, he rests his left hand on the wall and holds his waist with his right hand, and stands in front of her, hovering her.

"Hmm...? Yahi laga na?",

he prompts and smiles looking at her.

Naina very slowly looks towards him. And very slowly shakes her head into negative.

Smiling, he says,

"Naina meri ek kamzori hai, main koi baat nahi bhulta. Aur ek burai hai, kisi ko bhulne bhi nahi deta!"

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

He gestures her to get in. She obliges him.

Getting inside she looks around his room. Although dark, but she could sense everything around to be the same except the little corner out there, where lies a table covered with a neat white table cloth. She notices two glasses filled with champaign. The view of them makes her to lower her eyes. Rajveer, who is standing behind her gauges her each reaction with a constant smile on his face. He understands that she is nervous. All of this is new for her. She has never for once tasted any wine in her life. Rajveer knows how strict Naveen used to sound when he used to talk about her sister Naina to him. Loving and caring brother, yet strict.

"Naina aaj Naveen na sahi, par main hoon tumhare saath!",

he tells her, understanding her nervousness.

"Tumhe lagta hai ki main tumhe kabhi bhi Naveen ka trust todne dunga? Ya Naveen jitna tumhara khyal rakhta tha ussey kam khyal rakhunga tumhara?",

he asks her. His voice serious.

Naina looks into his eyes, which reflects his honesty. She reads his nervousness in his eyes. She understands that deep down, he must have been nervous too this whole time. Her nervousness is just fueling his nervousness.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

"Fir bhi agar tum uncomfortable feel kar rahi ho, to main tumhe force nahi karunga!",

he let's her know, looking straight into her eyes. His eyes reflect his honesty.

Smiling, she looks into his eyes, her own eyes twinkling. Her eyes reflect how she believes him immensely. Rajveer seeing her smiling, exhales inaudibally. It doesn't go unnoticed by Naina.

Getting away a little, Rajveer now notices her attire, and what he sees swells his heart with pride and love for her.

In her cream coloured suit with blue embroidery she looks elegant and gorgeous. Just the way he likes. Just the way he wants her to be. In her right hand she wears a single bangle that complements her dress. Her hair left loose, reminds him of their visit to 'Point 1857', how the wind was messing up with her hair. Even when he was praying he could sense her eyes on him. And a smile streches on his lips, remembering even then how beautiful she was looking.

They walk towards the sitting area quietly. Rajveer drags her chair for her in a gentleman style and gestures Naina to take her seat. Naina blushing, obliges him. Rajveer takes his seat in front of her.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

Clearing his throat, shooing off his nervousness, Rajveer begins,

"So champaign?"

Naina nervously nods her head a little, looking into his eyes gives her confidence to nod. Smiling, they pick up their champaigns, and click it to each other's. Nervously, she slowly taste her champaign, for the first time in her life. But deep down she feels glad and relief that it is him with whom she is sharing it. She knows she doesn't have to worry about anything. She trusts him immensely!

Setting the glass back on the table, he asks,

"Hungry?"

The double meaning question skips Naina's heartbeat. She stares him widen her eyes a little. A blush creeps on her cheeks. It is then Rajveer realizes what blunder he has made. Widening his eyes, he looks away, and nervously, he says,

"I... I mean... food... for food!"

This makes Naina to blush harder. She lowers her eyes and nods.

Quickly, Rajveer serves the food. Naina takes her pleasure in seeing him serving the food. Rajveer's eyes meet hers suddenly, and it skips Naina's heartbeat. This makes her to blush yet again. She lowers her eyes.

Serving the food, he gestures her to begin. She obliges him.

"Hmmm! Tumhara din kaisa raha?",

he starts with simple question. He looks towards her to gauge her reaction. He gets satisfied on getting the desired result. Her chest starts expanding and contracting in a quick succession as she remembers how he had tortured her the whole day. Yes torture, but a sweet one!

Slowly, not meeting his eyes, Naina places a chocolate on the table. Rajveer's eyes fall on it and he realizes it's the same chocolate that he wanted her to have. This changes his expressions yet again. She could gauge that he is angry. He doesn't say anything. Unwrapping the chocolate again, Naina takes it in front of his mouth, as a gesture of asking him to have it. Rajveer looks towards her, giving her angry looks.

"Main janti hun aap mujhse gussa hain. Maine socha chocolate se shuruat karti hun?",

says Naina.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

"Ye tumhare liye tha!",

he tells her, still angry.

"Koi baat nahi. Dono share kar lenge. Thoda main khaungi, thoda aap khana",

says Naina, sweetly.

This melts Rajveer's heart. He looks towards Naina. When Naina thinks that now he'll take the chocolate from her hand and have it, he bends down, staring her throughout and takes a bite of the chocolate from her hand.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina piano tune begins)

Not ending the eye contact, after tasting the chocolate, he says in a state of surprise and confusion,

"Hmmm... ye chocolate to bilkul theek hai. Melt nahi hui bilkul bhi!"

Smiling, Naina tells him,

"Maine Suriji ko de kar fridge mein rakhwa lia tha!"

Raising a brow, out of amazement, he asks,

"Impressed! Waise itna kasht kyun kiya? Phek deti!"

Naina looks into his eyes, as if feeling offended. Then slowly a smile streches on her lips and she shakes her head slowly to a negative. Rajveer, smiling, looking intently into her eyes, copies her gesture and asks, in a low voice,

"Kyun?"

Smiling, she says,

"Mujhey chocolate khana pasand hai!"

This makes both of them to laugh. As they end laughing a smile stays as a residue of the laugh. Focusing his attention on the chocolate, he takes it from her hand and takes it to her, silently asking her to have it.

(Rajveer-Naina slow piano tune begins)

Sighing, his eyes twinkling with excitement, a constant smile on his face,

Naina never ending the eye contact tastes the chocolate. As she relishes the taste, Rajveer arches an eye brow, smiling. Blushing, she lowers her eyes.

"So tumne mere sawaal ka jawab nahi diya!",

says Rajveer, as they begin with their dinner.

"Konsa sawal?",

asks Naina, looking towards him, as she forgets about the question after the cozy moment they shared.

Rajveer repeats his question,

"Tumhara din kaisa gaya?"

Naina who was collecting the food into her spoon stops abruptly and looks towards him.

"Theek tha!",

she says lowering her eyes.

"Aapka?",

she asks, still not meeting his eyes.

"Dr. Shalini ke saath... acha tha!",

he emphasizes on 'Dr. Shalini', trying to remind her the reason she got the punishment.

This frustrates her, she asks him, hesitantly,

"Aap ye kyun kar rahe hain?"

"Dinner?",

he asks, pretending to be oblivious about what she is pointing towards.

Naina glares at him.

Trying to hide his smile, he says,

"Bhook lagi hai mujhey Naina, aur kya!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

His mentioning 'bhook' reminds Naina about the morning incident that took place in the mess. Getting angry as she remembers the incident, she sits straight, holding the spoon in her hand, so that it is touching the plate. Looking straight into his eyes, she asks,

"Aaj breakfast pe kya hua tha?"

Creasing his brows, acting to be remembering nothing, he asks,

"Kya hua tha?"

Naina narrows her eyes on him. Taking a deep breath, she begins with her complaints,

"Apne mujhey good morning wish kyun nahi kia?"

Secretly impressed that she has remembered even a minute thing like wishing, good morning, he masks his face with a look of seriousness.

"Wish nahi kiya, really? Mujhey to yaad nahi!",

he says, creasing his brows. And eats his food, showing that he doesn't really remember.

This succeeds in increasing her anger!

"Apko... apko ye yaad nahi ki aj apne mujhey mess mein ignore kiya?",

she asks, raising her voice out of anger.

"Arey tum gussa kyun ho rahi ho? Ignore kahan kiya? Wo to saza thi na ki hum baat nahi karenge aaj?",

says Rajveer, trying to hide his amusement at seeing her pissed off at him.

"Acha wo saza thi na! Fine! Ab main apko ek saza deti hun...",

says Naina, out of burning anger.

Rajveer arches his brow, giving a infectious smile he asks,

"Tum mujhey saza dogi?"

"Ji haan!",

replies Naina, confidently.

Putting the spoon down, Rajveer rests his elbows on the table, so that his hands are placed erectly, and his hands crossed under his chin, he dares her,

"Do! Kya hai meri saza?",

looking straight into his eyes.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

"Apne kal mujhey kaha tha na ki main aaj apse baat na karun? Ab apki saza ye hai ki kal aap mujhse baat nahi karenge!"

Arching a brow, impressed by her boldness, he asks,

"Really?",

smiling at her innocence.

Naina sits straight, showing how sure and confident she is about what she has said.

Laughing a little, Rajveer says,

"Lagta hai champaign ka asar ho raha hai!"

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

"Theek hai reh lunga!",

replies Rajveer, confidently. Naina stares him, surprised. How can he stay without talking to her? A little smile creeps on Rajveer's lips on gauging her reaction to his reply. Then he asks,

"Tum reh logi mujhse bina baat kiye?"

His question turns her cheeks deep shade of red, she lowers her eyes, her heartbeat becomes frantic.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

She chooses to avoid answering the question. Clearing her throat, her eyes fixed on her plate, she asks,

"Uss din aap keh rahe the ki aap mere samne kayi baar conditions rakhte hain, akhir aap mere... kya??",

asking the question, she slowly raises her eyes to look at his reaction. And she witnesses his surprise!

Rajveer remembers his words,

'Main to kayi baar apke samne conditions rakhta hun, akhir main aapka...'

"Ahmm... main wo...",

hesitates Rajveer.

Shutting his eyes tightly, Rajveer sighs. When he opens them, Naina notices that the nervousness she witnessed few moments ago has vanished! But why? What has gotten into him.

"Tumhe jawab chahiye?",

he asks with an infectious smile on his face.

Naina nods her head to 'yes' nervously, looking straight into his eyes.

Stretching the smile more, he dares her, by saying,

"Mil jayega! Pehle tum mere sawaal ka jawab do!"

God, she was so right, something has really gotten into him. That's the reason for the confident smile on his face. Why it has to happen always? Why can't she often get a chance to enjoy seeing him nervous in front of him? He most of the times some or the other way escapes the situation, why?

But now she has to face what's coming!

"Puchiye!",

she says, nervousness, anger, hesitation, irritation all mixed together.

Sensing her current state, Rajveer laughs, which irritates her further.

He begins with what he wants to say,

"Hum 'POINT 1857' ho kar aa gaye hain!",

he states and waits for her to react.

Naina creases her brows. Of course she knows, they have been to that place. What's the point in telling her? Nodding her head a little, staring him, se waits for him to continue. Smiling, he continues,

"Tumhe raasta I am sure pata chal hi gaya hoga! So tum kisi aur ke saath kyun nahi chali jati?",

asking that, he places his spoon on his plate and rests back on his chair, crossing his arms over his chest, staring her throughout, gauging her reaction.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

At first Naina relaxes her brows, registering his words. Then creases afresh, how dare he suggested that to her? But suddenly she turns confident, so now he is trying to test her? Bring it on Captain! You need to learn, you can't be the boss all the time. It's not your class where you would be the one having the upper hand, this you need to learn!

Taking a deep breath, with a new confidence, a smile stretching on her lips, Naina pretends to be considering the option.

"Ye baat to maine sochi hi nahi!"

Her merely uttering these words, changes his expression. He turns serious, staring her with his eyes gradually filling with anger.

Naina certainly enjoys teasing him.

"Ab jab aap ne itna soch lia tha, to ye pehle hi suggest kr dete mujhey. Bekar mein mera itna time waste karwaya.",

teases Naina, further.

Maintaining the same position and same expression of anger, Rajveer stares her for sometime. Naina holds her breath, trying to anticipate his reaction.

"To yahan ana tumhare liye wastage of time tha?",

asks Rajveer, his tone serious and urgent.

Damn, has she crossed the line? Is he feeling offended? But then it's not her fault. It's him, who started this track of conversation. She goes speechless. She shakes her head into negative, slowly, staring him throughout, worried that he is feeling offended.

Then he says,

"Theek hai ek kaam karo tum Huda ke saath hi chali jao!",

and as he holds the glass to drink the water, Naina mutters,

"Taki aap Dr. Shalini ke saath ja payein?"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as he glares Naina)

"Kya kaha tum ne?",

he asks placing back the glass on the table, his tone serious.

"Hmmm... maine? Nahi... nahi kuch bhi to nahi...!",

says Naina, pretending to be innocent. And avoiding looking towards him, Naina picks up her glass of water and drinks from it. Rajveer keeps glaring her.

Sighing, Naina chooses to look towards him, with a little sarcastic smile on her face.

"Apne to subke samne pucha tha na Shalini Ma'am se date par chalne ko?",

says Naina, all serious, emphasizing on 'date'!

"I guess maine ye mention kar dia tha ki wo Yudi bol raha tha!",

Rajveer defends himself.

"Apko dekh kar to nahi lag raha tha!",

teases Naina, looking anywhere but towards him.

Rajveer glares her for sometime, speechless! Then he utters,

"Ohh...!"

This certainly catches Naina's attention.

"Isliye tum uss waqt itne gusse mein lag rahi thi class mein?",

asks Rajveer, smiling sarcastically.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other, Rajveer with a victory smile on his face and Naina burning from inside out of anger)

"Gusse mein?",

asks Naina, avoiding looking towards him.

Rajveer stares her with a smile on his face. He certainly enjoys seeing Naina jealous. This is going to be the first time he is feeling this, someone getting jealous for him, because of him! Rajveer finds Naina adorable.

"Kya hoga uss ladke ka jisse tum pyar karogi?",

asks Rajveer, smiling with all his heart, staring her constantly.

His question skips her heartbeat. Looking towards him, Naina blushes and narrowing her eyes on him, she says,

"Ye baat aap pehle bhi bol chukey hain!"

Sighing, he says,

"Hmm... aur tab bhi tumne mujhey jawab nahi diya tha!"

Saying that, he keeps staring her and has the last bite of his food. Standing up, for clearing the dishes, staring her constantly, with a smile on his face, he arches his right brow, as a gesture of demanding an answer from her. Naina's eyes follow him, now she is looking up towards him. Blushing, she shakes her head slowly. Understanding that she ain't going to answer, he picks up the plates and says,

"Main ye rakh kar aata hun, tum tab tak sochlo, fir batana what do you think, kya hoga uss ladke ka?"

His words clearly state that he is not going to drop this topic tonight.

Naina sitting at her place, tries to control her exhilarating heartbeats. Exhilarating out of anger.

Reaching her, Rajveer places a cup of ice cream in front of her, which she rejects immediately,

"Mujhey nahi khani!",

not even caring to look towards him or showing any politness in her words.

This Rajveer certainly enjoys. Smiling, he says,

"Kha lo! Tumhe abhi zarurat hai iski!"

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

"Mujhey apne room ki fikr hai actually. I am very possessive by nature you know!"

His reply, forces her to look towards him in confusion. How come all this is related to his possessiveness?

Understanding her confusion, he states, seriously,

"Nahi, tum jis tarah se gussa ho rahi ho, kahin mere samano ko idhar udhar fekne lag gayi..."

This succeeds in increasing her anger. She glares him.

Smiling, sarcastically, she asks in a sugar-coated voice,

"Haan aur fir agar kisi ne apke room ki waisi halat dekh li to pata nahi log kya kya sochenge! Hai na?"

Arching a brow, smiling, he places the ice cream cup in front of her and as he sits, he says,

"Kuch to log kahenge! Logo ka kaam hai kehna! Choro bekar ke baaton mein kahin beet na jaiye raina!"

Then suddenly something comes into his mind, a new smile stretches on his face.

'Ab kya hua?',

thinks Naina.

Looking towards her, with the smile that reflects that something is going on in his mind, he says,

" 'RAINA' - Rajveer and Naina - 'RAINA' !!!"

Saying that, he stares her, smiling, his eyes blinking with happiness. Naina stares back, blushing.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

Blushing, she shakes her head slowly staring him, then lowers her eyes out of shyness, focusing on her ice cream. Smiling, seeing her happy, Rajveer has his ice cream too.

Clearing her throat, she asks,

"Anyways, aap kis-kis cheez ko lekar possessive hain?"

Smiling, his eyes fixed on his ice cream, collecting it in his spoon, he says,

"You really don't wanna know, do you?",

and looks towards her, arching his brow, smiling.

"Trust me I am intruged!",

she replies, returning back a smile.

Lowering his eyes again, he places the ice cream cup on the table and says,

"Naina, mere parents bachpan mein hi mujhey chor kar chaley gaye!"

As he begins with his tale, Naina's heartbeat picks up pace. This is the first time he is opening up in front of her. She doesn't know what she has done to gain his confidence but this she is hell sure that he can confine in her, and she would never betray his trust for anything!

"Main ek anathashram mein bada hua hun. Mujhey kabhi wo ehsaas hi nahi mila ki apno ka, apne parivaar ka saath hona, ek-dusre ke barey sochna, unke liye duniya se ladna kya hota hai!"

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

Naina stares him throughout, her eyes turn soft as she imagines little Rajveer.

"Ye ehsaas mujhey pehli baar KMA mein akar hua!"

He continues,

"Jab main yahan pehli baar aya tha as a cadet, main kisi se baat nahi karta tha. Lala Gelhot se Brigadier Chandok ne baat ki thi, shayad unhe mujh mein koi spark nazar ayi thi. Ek chingari jo aag bann jaye to duniya ke sarey dushmano ko jala kar rakh kar sakti hai! Isliye main KMA aya",

smiling, sarcastically he says,

"Tab nahi pata tha ki kisi din uss aag mein mujhey khud hi jalna hoga!"

"Matlab?",

asks Naina, in a soft voice, as she doesn't want to disturb the calmness prevaling at this moment.

"Main jala! Til-til kar jala! Uss pal se jab mere samne khada Naveen mujhse bheek mang raha tha ki main usse mukti de dun!",

his eyes well up as he rethinks about the moment. His voice chokes, out of so many feelings. He remembers Naveen at this moment. The moment he did the unwanted, flashes in front of his eyes for the umptieth time. The feeling that he is confessing his feelings in front of no one else but Naina, Naveen's sister, Rajveer's sole support system, pushes his emotional trigger a little more than usual.

Naina staring him throughout, her eyes on the verge of welling up, she is controlling herself well. She doesn't want to break in front of an already broken Rajveer. No! not tonight! Tonight for once she won't ask for his support. Tonight it is rather that she wants to support him. She wants him to empty his heart in front of her for once and for all! She wants him to drop tears, shout, not because it would be a great relief to see him in agony, but because it would be a great relief to see him relaxed, after pouring his heart out! Why does he have to endure everything all alone? Why can't he share? Why doesn't he share?

"Main aaj bhi jal raha hun!",

he tells her.

Unable to bear seeing him crying anymore, she gets up. Rajveer's eyes follow her like an innocent kid who doesn't know what's coming up next for him.

Walking across the center table, reaching to his side, Naina boldly, places her hands on his cheeks and with her thumbs wipes off his tears. Looking intently into his eyes, she shakes her head into negative, slowly, smiling. Rajveer's tears flow afresh, feeling the warmth of her hands.

They look towards each other intently.

After rubbing off his tears, Naina removes her hands off his face. She notices how his eyes follow her hands. She understands he needs strength, the one provided by her. Very slowly she extends her hands in front of him. He holds them and shuts his eyes tightly as if his strength lies in her hands. After few moments, slowly, he opens his eyes and finds Naina smiling at him.

Smiling back, a little embarrassed, he stares her.

"Ahmmm... bohot der ho chuki hai, ab main chalti hun",

she says, hesitantly and waits for him to let go off her hands.

He tightens the hold, as a gesture of refraining from letting her go.

"Bohot der ho chuki hai, Pooja jag jayegi!",

she tells him. Pleading with her eyes to let her go.

"Agar tum abhi itna darr rahi ho to jab hum POINT 1857 jayenge, uss raat kaise ja paogi mere saath? Agar Pooja jag gayi to?",

asks Rajveer, smirking.

Naina widens her eyes first out of surprise. Then narrows her eyes and shakes her head.

Smiling, he let go off her hands. Clearing his throat, he says,

"Hmmm... aaj purey din humne baat nahi ki, iske badle tumhe kuch to milna chahiye!",

smiles Rajveer, looking towards him.

The blush on Naina's face tells Rajveer that she is intrigued to know what's coming up next.

Smiling at her gesture, Rajveer tells her,

"Kal ka mera pura din tumhare naam!"

Naina gets excited on hearing this, like a little child.

"To kya kal hum POINT 1857 ja rahe hain?",

she asks getting excited.

Smiling, he shakes his head and says,

"Chaley jayenge, itni bhi kya jaldi hai. Filhal kal ka mera pura din tumhare naam".

Blushing, Naina says,

"It's okay apko ye sub karne ki koi zarurat nahi hai. Main nahi chahti ki koi bhi apse kuch bhi puchey!"

"Koi bhi mujhse kya puchey Naina?",

asks Rajveer, teasing her.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

Naina lowers her eyes out of hesitation and shy.

"Anyways tum ne abhi tak nahi bataya - kya hoga uss ladke ka jisse tum pyar karogi?",

teases Rajveer yet again.

"You won't let it go, will you?",

she asks, acting to be angry. But ends up blushing.

"Nahi bilkul nahi, ab batao! Tum mujhey ye jawab de do, aur fir main tumhe jane dunga!",

says Rajveer, relaxing.

Sighing, she says,

"Well observer aap hain, pata to apko hona chahiye!"

Her reply makes Rajveer to arch his brow, smiling. Rajveer begins to reply, but before he could voice his thinking, Naina stops him abruptly,

"Ek minute!"

This succeeds in skipping his heartbeat. He looks towards her, creasing his brows.

"Mujhey aapse kuch puchna hai!",

she demands.

With his creased brows, intrigued to know what she wants to ask, he says,

"Pucho!"

She reminds him of the night before they went to 'mentorship programme'

"Apne uss din kaha tha ki 'meri zindagi mein bhi ek din koi ayega!' ",

saying that, she waits to gauge his reaction and finds him lowering his eyes, this she thinks is surely out of hesitation. Then keeping an eye on him, she continues, slowly,

"Ya... yun kaho ki...aa chuka hai...!",

she waits to gauge his reaction, he seems to have been holding his breath. He is avoiding to look towards her.

"Aap kiski baat kar rahe the?",

she asks at last!

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Arching a brow she challenges him,

"Aap mujhey iss baat ka jawab de do, main apko apke baat ka jawab de dungi!"

Rajveer gives her the expressions that tell that he is impressed by her challenge!

Then she says,

"Well talking about your question, I guess observer aap hain. Apko zada achi tarah pata hoga ki kya hoga... uss ladke ka... jisey main...",

she hesitates to complete the line.

"Jisey tum??",

he asks, in a low voice.

Looking towards him, blushing, she shakes her head in a slow progression.

Rajveer creases his brows, showing his anger,

"Bolo...",

he demands, sweetly.

"Jisse main pyar karungi!",

she completes sweetly.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins as Naina lowers her eyes out of shyness and Rajveer stares her out of love!)

Smiling sweetly, Rajveer says,

"Smart! To ab tum mujhey tease karna bhi seekh gayi? Yahan to dono questions mujhse hi puchey ja rahe hain!",

says Rajveer, narrowing his eyes on her. Impressed by her bold question.

Raising both her brows, looking towards him, she says,

"Ab kya karein sangati ka kuch to asar hoga hi na!"

They both laugh silently, almost like blushing.

Taking a decision, clearing his throat he says,

"Theek hai pehle let's discuss about - ki kya hoga uss ladke ka jissey tum pyar karogi!",

with a new excitement.

Naina sits straight, absolutely ready to listen to him, smiling, blushing on seeing this new Rajveer. The Rajveer who is excited like a kid, ready to share his tale with everyone.

Blushing, lowering her eyes, she shakes her head into negative out of shyness. They are seriously discussing this! Rajveer laughs out of happiness, seeing her blushing.

"Mujhey lagta hai uss ladke ki zindagi barbad hone wali hai, jissey tum pyar karogi!",

he says, looking towards her through his peripheral vision.

Creasing her brows, her heartbeat accelerating, she says,

"Aap aisa kaise keh sakte hain?"

"Tumhe jhelna itna aasan nahi hai!",

he says, trying to control his laughter.

"What do you mean jhelna? Aap mujhey jhelte hain?",

she asks, the blood rushes up to her face.

"Aur nahi to kya? Ab dekho bachon jaisa zid pakda hua hai POINT 1857 jaine ka! Wo bhi mere saath!",

he emphasizes on 'mere'!

"Aap mujhey Huda ke saath janey ke liye provoke kar rahe hain?",

she asks smirking, arching her right brow.

Snapping the fingers of his right hand, he points his index finger towards her,

"Dekha! Aa gayi na tum! Aa gayi na Huda par. Kitni desperate ho uske saath jaane ke liye POINT 1857 tum",

he teases her.

Shaking her head in disbelief, staring him in utter surprise, she says,

"Main apse baat nahi kar rahi! Aaj kya, kabhi nahi karungi!"

At this Rajveer rolls his eyes,

"Hun... ek din to reh nahi payi theek se mujhse baat kiye bina 'kabhi baat nahi karungi'!",

he taunts, enjoying seeing her angry on his account!

"Ab aap dekhna hum kal purey din baat nahi karenge!",

she dares him.

"Oh really? Aur kal ka pura din jo main tumhare naam likh chuka hun, uska kya?",

he asks narrowing his eyes on her.

Plastering a smile, she says, pausing after each word,

"Mujhey.koi.farak.nahi.parhta!"

"Very good! This is going to be veryyy interesting!",

he says, smiling with all his heart.

"What is going to be interesting?",

she asks, unable to understand his meaning. What is cooking in his mind?

"Yahi ki tumhe na chahte hue bhi mujhse baat karna parhega!",

he says, smiling, arching his brow.

"Hun! Aur apko aisa kyun lagta hai ki main aisa karungi?",

she asks, plastering a smile on her face.

"Oh haan! Shayad isliye kyunki mujhey POINT 1857 jana hai, right?",

she asks, faking a smile.

Shaking his head, slowing, staring her throughout, he says,

"Nahi! Isliye nahi kyunki tumhe 'POINT 1857' jana hai. Balki isliye kyunki maine tumse ye kaha hai. Aur tum, mujhey kabhi mana nahi kar sakti kisi baat ke liye. Batao, kar sakti ho kya?",

he asks, smiling, looking into her eyes intently.

"And talking about ki main kiske barey mein baat kar raha tha, to Naina har ek ki zindagi mein kabhi na kabhi koi na koi aata hai. I am sure ab tak... ab tak tumhari life mein bhi koi...",

he lowers his eyes, blushing, unable to complete his sentence.

"Waise hi jaise apke life mein koi ayi thi? Dr. Mishra ke alawa!!"

Naina's reply takes him by surprise.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other, their brows creased)

Naina notices how Rajveer feels uncomfortable yet again on the mention of his past!

"Dr... Dr. Mishra mera past kabhi nahi thi Naina. Hum mein aisa kuch bhi nahi tha",

he tells her, not meeting her eyes.

Gauging his reactions, Naina very calmly says,

"I know! To kon thi?"

Rajveer stares her, his eyes pleading to change the topic. Naina stares back.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

"Someone jiska naam bhi 'N' se shuru hota hai, right?",

she asks.

Rajveer, shuts his eyes, not wanting to think about it, about her. Opening them he looks towards her, his eyes soft.

"It's okay you don't have to tell. Tab tak nahi jab tak aap comfortable na ho!"

They stare each other. Naina through her eyes, conveys to him that she understands him.

"Naina please! Let's not discuss this right now!",

says Rajveer, looking away.

Naina lowers her eyes and accepts his decision. Nodding, she asks for his permission to leave,

"Main chalun?"

Rajveer keeps staring her. Naina looks towards him. Rajveer very slowly nods his head, staring her, gauging her reactions. Is she angry?

Smiling, she shakes her head into negative, understanding that he is nervous. Sighing, he smiles, his eyes soft, thanking her silently, for understanding him.

Standing up, she wishes him,

"Good night!"

"Good night!",

he wishes back.

"Looking forward to tomorrow!",

says Naina, blushing. And it was enough to convey him that everything is still normal between them.

Hesitantly, Naina extends her hand.

Smiling, his heart filled with love for her, Rajveer accepts it. He presses it softly, a gesture to convey his feelings to her. Naina blushing, pushes his hand with her thumb, a gesture to convey him that he must let her go now, it's late. Understanding her unuttered feelings he lets her go.

Day 3

At Rajveer's room after lights out

"Hahaha!!!",

laughs Rajveer, holding his stomach.

Naina glares him.

"I don't believe this! Aap hans rahe hain?",

asks Naina.

"Hansun... hansun nahi to aur kya karun?",

Rajveer manages to reply in between his laugh.

Naina's irritation increases a wee bit.

"Main na theek se so pa rahi thi; na jag pa rahi thi!",

she tells him, pissed off by the fact that he is laughing at her.

"To tum to janti thi ki wo raat ko jayegi?",

asks Rajveer, still laughing.

"Haan main subah 11:59 tak janti thi ki wo jayegi, aur maine apna mann bana lia tha ki main apko mana kar dungi ki main shayad aaj na aa paun!",

says Naina, her voice higher than her normal voice that she uses in front of him. This tells him how angry she is right now not only on Pooja but at himself too. This makes her look more adorable to Rajveer.

His expression alters a wee bit when he hears that she was giving her visiting him a second thought. How could she? Did she not know that he had been waiting to meet her throughout the day?

"Fir?",

he asks, his tone serious, his eyes lowered.

The tone tells her that he is not happy on knowing that she had almost made up her mind of not visiting him tonight.

Sighing, finding him adorable, she says,

"Aap khud hi socho main kitni tension mein thi, ye soch kar ki apko bura lagega ya shayad aap gussa hogey!"

"Oh! To tum yahan isliye ana chahti thi kyunki agar tum nahi ayi to main bura manunga; main gussa honga? Yani tum khud mujhse milna nahi chahti thi? Maine force kiya! I am sorry!",

says Rajveer, his tone serious, looking anywhere but at her.

Rajveer blushes on receiving the compliment from her.

"Tum ayi kaise fir yahan?",

he asks, the prior feeling of humor and laughter returns back as he remembers that how she must have managed to reach him.

She glares him, then blushing she tells him,

"Pehle main kitni der sone ka natak karti rahi!"

The word 'natak' brings back the bubbles of laughter into his stomach, but he places his index finger on his lips, and tries to behave. He knows Naina wouldn't enjoy finding him laughing again at her, especially because she took a whole lot of risk just to meet him.

"Pooja tabse karwate badalti ja rahi thi!"

Just to irritate her further, he sings, looking anywhere but at her,

"Karwate badalte rahe sari raat hum, apki kasam apki kasam!"

Giving him an angry look, she scolds,

"Agar apko nahi sunna to bata do! Ek to Pooja ne waise hi mera dimag kharab kar ke rakh dia hai. Aur wo bhi apki wajah se!"

Getting a bit serious, he asks, knitting his brows,

"Meri... meri wajah se?"

"Ji haan! Now don't act to be so innocent!",

she scolds him mildly.

"Arey maine kya kiya?",

he asks, unable to understand what has he done!

"Apko nahi pata apne kya kiya?",

she asks, narrowing her eyes on him.

"Mujhey wakayi mein nahi pata maine kya kiya!",

he says.

"Aaj hum kitni baar mil chukey hain ek dusre se?",

she asks him and raises her brow.

Looking at her sheepishly, he laughs.

"Par wo to challenge tha!",

he tells her, getting back to his normal self.

"Challenge tha, right! But challenge tab tak hi theek lagta hai jab tak wo baat hum dono ke beech mein ho. Apne ek baar bhi socha ki main kaise milne aa rahi thi apse?",

she asks, getting slightly anger.

"Haan socha na, ek baar nahi har baar, jab-jab tum mujhse mil kar ja rahi thi, main yahi soch raha tha ki tum ab kaise milne aogi mujhse!",

he says smiling. Then continues,

"And trust me mujhey bohot maza aya soch soch kar ki tum kitna risk lekar aa rahi thi!"

Getting angry she says,

"Haan apko kya bus order de diya ki milne aana hai baki to sub mujhey hi karna tha. Kaise jaun? Pooja ko kya kahungi? Kisi ne dekh lia to?"

Creasing his brows, he says, all serious,

"Haan aur mere liye to bohot aasan tha na apne classes mein late jana. Kyun, kyunki mujhey tumse milna tha!"

Naina lowers her eyes, feeling guilty.

"Main tab bhi apko samjha rahi thi ki main class mein chali jati hun wapas jab aap corridor pe Shalini Ma'am se baat kar rahe the!"

*Flashback*

"Ahmm... Pooja mujhey Suriji se thoda kaam hai. Tu chal main baad mein aa jaungi class mein!",

says Naina, smiling.

"Lai! Itni si baat chal main bhi chalti hun, fir dono ek sath hi class mein chaley jayenge. Waise bhi tere bina mujhey bore hi hona hai!",

says Pooja.

"Arey aise kaise?...",

says Naina nervously, as Pooja begins to walk with her.

"Kya aise kaise? Tere saath chal rahi hun aur kya?",

says Pooja.

"Ahmmm... Pooja agar tu mere saath chali jayegi to Suriji jo notes denge unhe main kisse copy karungi?",

Naina tries to make an excuse.

"Arey wo Ali hai na usse mang lenge",

says Pooja, asking Naina to relax.

"Pooja ussey agar manga, fir boys hostel mein jana hoga usse return karne!",

says Naina, plastering a blush on her face.

"Haye rabba ye to maine socha hi nahi!",

says Pooja, slapping her forehead and blushing.

Naina secretly gets happy as she thinks that she has successfully convinced her to stay. But suddenly Pooja says, whispering,

"Fir to aur maza ayega. Tujhey to pata hi hai rules break karne ka apna maza hai!",

Pooja winks at Naina.

Pooja's words skip Naina's heartbeat. She is very well familiar with the feeling that one gets on breaking the rules. The excitement of accomplishing the mission; the nervousness of taking the right steps; the fear of getting caught; the short talks they make in whispers, instructing each other what to do and what not, all these stuffs give them all the adrenaline rush.

Naina unconsciously connects everything with this secret meeting she is going to have with Rajveer. The nervousness of getting caught by Pooja at first place. Hell, only she knows how holding her breath she gets out of her bed. She doesn't want to disturb Pooja from her sleep. If she wakes up, Naina will have to answer the rows of questions laid down by Pooja. And somehow she knows that it won't take her best friend Pooja to make out that she is going to meet Rajveer. She is excited to reach him as soon as possible, tip-toeing, she doesn't want anyone to wake up and catch her.

Naina shakes her head.

"Ahmm... Pooja kya zarurat hai bekar mein rules break karne ka tu ja main thodi der mein aa jaungi!",

says Naina, praying under her breath that she wouldn't continue with the argument.

"Acha baba theek hai. Main chalti hun, but tu jaldi ana okay?",

says Pooja. And Naina sighs inaudibly.

Smiling, she shakes her head to a positive.

As Pooja leaves, Naina making sure that she won't return sighs and looks heavenwards.

Naina nervous that she doesn't get caught walks towards a class where Rajveer asked her to meet him.

Reaching the entrance of the class, Naina finds him writing something on the bench with a chalk, leisurely, to pass the time.

A smile automatically creeps up on her face as she lays her eyes on him. She finds him humming,

'Tumse kehne wali aur bhi hain pyari baatein,

Samne subke bolo kaise kehdun sari baatein.

Aaj magar bus itna hi karna hai ikrar'

Then unable to resist, he sings, oblivious to Naina's presence at the entrance of the classroom,

"Tum hi to laye ho jeewan mein mere,

Pyar pyar pyar...

Kehna hai... kehna hai...

aaj tumse ye pehli baar!",

he pauses suddenly, something tells him that he is not alone here he's been watched. And why not he is a soldier, he should always remain alert.

Rajveer doesn't turn to look at Naina, he doesn't even move an inch. All he does is use his presence of mind and his peripheral vision. A smile automatically comes on his face and he relaxes. Naina doesn't understand why has his expression altered suddenly?

Then he continues, this time more than singing, he understands the lyrics as he sings,

"Tum hi to laye ho jeewan mein mere,

Pyar pyar pyar...

Kehna hai... kehna hai...

aaj tumse ye pehli baar!"

Naina was about to walk towards him when she hears someone's footsteps. This she could understand that whoever he or she is, the person is reaching them at an alarming rate. Rajveer oblivious to someone's coming, as he is inside the classroom, walks towards Naina with a smile on his face. But soon his smile changes into frown when he finds her run away.

Creasing his brows, tensed, he mutters,

"Isey kya hua?"

As he walks forth with an aim to get an answer from her, to clear his doubt, an orderly reaches him.

Rajveer focuses his attention on to the orderly.

"Sir wo Shalini Ma'am apse milna chahti hai",

he informs Captain Rajveer.

Rajveer nods his head. The orderly leaves. Rajveer now understands what made her to run away. He shakes his head, smiling.

"Captain!",

calls Dr. Shalini, standing at a far away corner, her arms folded on her chest and she stares him, shocked.

Captain Rajveer walks to her with his heart filled with a little bit of nervousness. Reaching her he greets her with a smile,

"Hello doctor. Kaisi hain aap?"

"Well Captain main to theek hun par... aa...p... aap theek hain na?",

asks Dr. Shalini, looking at Captain Rajveer, giving him her questioning look.

Naina peeps to look towards Dr. Shalini and Rajveer. Thankfully Dr. Shalini's back was facing Naina so she couldn't see her hidden behind a pillar. But what she did notice is, Captain Rajveer's eyes were wandering behind her every now and then.

"Haan.. haan mujhey kya hona hai?",

asks Captain Rajveer focusing back on Dr. Shalini.

"Nahi aap badey khoye-khoye dikh rahe hain!",

says Dr. Shalini.

Naina gestures him that she is going back.

Rajveer on reading her gesture, says aloud,

"Nahi!"

This skips the heartbeat of both Dr. Shalini, who is standing in front of him and Naina, who is standing behind the pillar.

Naina who had already turned to leave halts on listening to his command. Slowly she turns to look back. Rajveer on seeing her turning back, relaxes.

"Nahi... nahi bilkul nahi... main kahin nahi ja raha!!",

he says.

Naina could understand that it was a command for her. Unwilling she stays.

"Kyun kar rahe hain ye aisa? Hum baad mein bhi to mil sakte hain!",

mummers Naina.

"What?",

utters Dr. Shalini, surprised.

"Kahin nahi ja rahe? Maine kab bola ki aap kahin ja rahe hain? Oh yes that reminds me, main apse isliye milna chahti thi kyunki mujhey ye puchna tha ki kya Brigadier Chandok ne apko apne office mein bulaya hai? Actually mujhey bulaya tha, maine socha apko bhi bulaya hoga?",

asks Dr. Shalini.

"Pata nahi exactly kyun bulaya hai!",

saying that she drifts her attention, thinking something.

Meantime, Naina looking towards him, pleads him to give her permission to leave.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

A smile stretches on his lips as he finds Naina in a dilemma of whether to leave or not.

Dr. Shalini finds his reactions queer.

"Captain are you sure apko medicine ki zarurat nahi hai?",

asks Dr. Shalini, hesitantly.

Captain Rajveer focuses his attention on to Dr. Shalini, smiling.

Smiling more he says,

"Doctor mujhey pata hai filhal mujhey kis cheez ki zarurat hai!"

(Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Rajveer although doesn't look towards Naina but understands that she is blushing right now.

Smiling he says,

"Ek garma-garam coffee ki!"

"Aap piyengi?",

he asks, out of politness

Sighing, Dr. Shalini says,

"Well I am afraid Captain abhi to mujhey Brigadier Chandok se milne jana hai, so some other time"

"Waise one question, mujhey jahan tak aaj ka schedule yaad hai to iss waqt to apko class mein hona chahiye tha?",

asks Dr. Shalini.

Although not present in front of her, but Naina feels guilty that he is missing his class because of her. But who is she kidding? He is the one who had asked her to meet him. Thinking this, Naina rolls her eyes and blushes.

"Haan to apse baat khatam kar lun fir wohin ja raha hun bus!",

Captain Rajveer very smartly escapes from the embarrassing question.

This makes Naina to blush.

Feeling a bit guilty, Dr. Shalini greets him

"Alright bye!"

Captain Rajveer smiling, greets back,

"Bye!"

As she leaves, Rajveer leisurely walks towards Naina, smiling.

(Rajveer-Naina slow piano tune begins)

Reaching her Rajveer wishes her,

"Hello!",

and lowers his eyes, feeling shy.

"Hello!",

blushes Naina.

"Ahmm... mujhey jaldi jana hoga, class shuru hone wali hai",

says Naina lowering her eyes out of shyness.

"Hmm... I know. Kiski class hai?",

asks Rajveer, relaxing back, his arms folded over his chest, staring her throughout, smiling a little.

"Ahmmm... Dr. Shalini ki",

she tells him.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

"Hmm... fir darne ki baat nahi hai wo samjh jayengi!",

says Rajveer, controlling his laughter, as he anticipates her next question.

"Kya samjh jayengi?",

comes Naina's question narrowing her eyes on him.

Controlling himself somehow,

"Jo... jo bhi samjhna hoga unhe!"

As he says this her expression turns into serious.

Not amused by the sudden change in her expression, Rajveer creases his brows and asks,

"Kya hua?"

"Jo bhi samjhengi galat hi samjhengi!"

As she says this, her tone serious, Rajveer remembers the incident that took place after mentorship camp.

He turns serious, staring her.

After few moments he asks,

"Jo uss din subne socha wo galat tha! Par jo aaj sub sochenge wo...",

he trails off the sentence.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina begins as they stare each other)

Naina's cheeks start warming under his constant gaze and the thought of the incident makes her nervous even more. Her breathing becomes shallow. She doesn't want to think about it. How stupid was she that she didn't understand what he was trying to convey to her that day through that look of his that he gave to her when he accepted the punishment quietly and walked away.

During that moment her main focus was on the fact that he had been punished for no reason. But did she really think that Captain Rajveer would accept a punishment without being guilty? But how could he be guilty when he did nothing? They were completing their task and they were never informed about the sudden call from KMA. So what made him guilty and liable to punishment?

"Kya main apse kuch puch sakti hun?",

she asks, looking into his eyes.

"Pucho!",

permits Rajveer, looking into her eyes.

"Jitna main apko janti hun, aap kabhi anyay bardasht nahi karte. Uss din mentorship programme suddenly got called off and humein iss barey mein kuch nahi pata tha. Fir jab academy mein aakar apko punish kiya gaya tab apne mana kyun nahi kiya? Kyun nahi keh diya subko ki apki iss mein koi galti nahi thi?",

asks Naina.

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins as they stare each other)

Rajveer tries to convey her something through his expressions but Naina being stubborn doesn't accept the silent talk here! She needs answer - loud and clear!

"Naina...!!!",

he pleads, his eyes soft.

But stubborn Naina denies to listen to any excuse today. Why would he do that? She needs to know.

Knowing that she is no mood to listen to anything else but the reply to her answer, Rajveer sighs and tells her, not meeting her eyes,

"Naina humein humara task time par khatam kar lena chahiye tha!"

"Hum task complete hi kar rahe the. Mana ki hum academy mein ane mein late hue the, par ye baat aap bhi jante hain aur main bhi ki hum camp point pae pohnchne mein late nahi hue the. Hum academy aney mein late hue the aur wo bhi isliye kyunki humein pehle kuch samjh hi nahi aa raha tha ki akhir ho kya raha hai!",

says Naina, raising her voice.

Getting irritated and frustrated, Rajveer raises his voice too,

"Oh really Naina to tum mujhey ye kehna chahti ho ki hum seriously apna task pura kar rahe the? To wo kya tha jo hua wahan par?"

His question succeeds in sending chills down her spine. Lowering her eyes out of sheer shyness, she asks, almost whispers,

"Kya hua tha?"

And somehow the way she asks the question makes him to realize that she knows!

And without much effort they both remember the moments they spent there together!

Rajveer remembers how there for some moments Rajveer took over Captain Rajveer. How his innate desire came rushing into his heart and how hard it was for him to rest himself from going to her. She was there in front of him at arms length, he could have easily walked to her. The way she was staring him in his imagination; the way he was staring her in his imagination that could have turned into reality! Did he really think that she would have objected, had he gone to her? Is it a crime to show your true feeling to someone?

He could have felt what it is like to look into the eyes of the one who means the world to you. How those precious moments behold the power of forgetting about the world!

Yes there is no denial that he did enjoy her company, the lone time they got there. But deep down he was conscious of his status - a mentor! Had he left himself free that night, then today would have been a different story altogether!

Why didn't he look into her eyes like always, but this time with more intimacy? Damn they were all alone for god's sake! Was he like a true soldier, alert, that someone might be lurking around and they could get caught red handed? Sharing a relationship which is forbidden to culminate between a mentor and his protege. Was he afraid of crossing his limits? Or is it deep down because of the truth? The truth which she didn't know then! The truth about her brother! Why didn't he put his imagination into reality?

There on the other hand, Naina remembers how he fell into the mud. How adorable he was looking. He was certainly pissed off. His reactions gave away his feelings perfectly.

'Tum hansna band karogi? I said will you stop laughing Naina?'

The thought makes Naina to laugh and Rajveer to blush out of embarrassment.

Remembering what they were discussing, she gets serious and asks again,

"Kya galti thi apki?"

Rajveer looks towards her, all serious.

Without waiting to get a reply, Naina says, getting irritated on the thinking how he accepted the punishment all alone!

"Aur agar galti thi to hum dono ki thi. Fir saza apko akele kyun mili? Mujhey kyun roka gaya tab jab main Brigadier Chandok ko samjha rahi thi ki apki koi galti nahi hai, humein fusaya gaya hai!"

Bowing his head, he smirks, and says,

"Humein fasaya gaya aur humne chup chap accept bhi kar liya!"

"Wohi to main keh rahi hun. Aap aise nahi hain. Fir uss din apne kyun kuch nahi kaha? Kyun?",

asks Naina, irritated, feeling helpless.

"Kyunki uss din baat sirf tumhari ya sirf meri nahi thi, baat humari thi!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

"Aur Naina koi hum dono ke rishte par ungli uthaye ye mujhey bardasht nahi!",

he states, clearly.

"Bardasht nahi? To iska matlab ye hi ki apko meri wajah se koi bhi punishment miley wo aap chup chap sahenge?",

she asks, creasing her brows, raising her voice.

"And what do you mean by bardasht nahi? Jab apko koi baat bardasht nahi hoti to kya aap chup chap saza kaat lete hain chahey apki galti ho ya na ho?"

"Naina, mujhey lag raha tha ki agar main chup chap apni punishment accept kar lunga to wo baat wohin khatam ho jayega!",

says Rajveer, raising his voice too.

"Aur kya wo baat khatam hui? Aur uske baad apne kya socha ki chalo aise ye baat khatam nahi hui to ek kaam karta hun, Naina se hi baat karna band kar deta hun!",

says Naina, staring him out of anger.

"Yahi sochana apne? Waah kya solution nikala, wo bhi apne, Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat ne!"

"Tumhe kya lagta hai Naina, tumse baat na karna, tumhe subke samne ignore krna, dantna, mere liye aasan tha?",

he asks politely.

"Majboori thi meri. Nahi chahta tha ki koi tum par ungli uthaye. Huda ki ankhon mein apne liye nafrat aur tumhare liye utna hi pyar dekha tha maine!",

he says. His own words pierce his heart but he had to do it. He has to make her understand why did he behave that way to her. But does he really think that she didn't understand? Of course she did. But she wanted him to forget about the world. Why would he let others to command them about how they should lead their lives? They are no puppets!

"Aur meri ankhon mein?",

she asks, boldly.

Smirking he says,

"Kashmakash!"

And the mere word explained it all!

(Rajveer-Naina fast tune begins)

Naina lowers her eyes feeling guilty. Rajveer holding her chin forces her to look towards him, pushing it slightly up to let her meet his eyes. As Naina does that, Rajveer looking intently into her eyes shakes his head asking her to stop over thinking about it and smiles, Naina smiles too, seeing him smiling swells her heart.

"Ahmm... ab main chalti hun. Meri class hai!",

says Naina, smiling a little.

Smiling back Rajveer nods and she leaves.

*Flashback ends*

"Anyways, choriye kuch aur baat karte hain!",

says Naina.

"Pucho!",

says Rajveer, smiling.

Hesitantly she asks,

"Kal jiske barey mein aap baat nahi karna chahte the, kya uska naam Nandini hai?"

Her question skips his heartbeat. He looks towards her, shocked. How does she know about her?

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

"Tum... tum Nandini ke barey mein kaise...??",

he asks unable to complete his sentence. He turns away not having courage to face her. But why? Has he done something wrong?

"Maine Bhaiya ki diary mein read kiya tha Nandini ke barey mein. Likha tha ki aap unke saath time spend karna chahte the par apki classes aur unki classes itni clash karti thi ki apko mauka hi nahi milta tha unse milne ka!",

says Naina, with a heavy heart. She would be the last person to find pleasure in discussing about Rajveer and Nandini especially now when she is sure that there is something amiss.

Rajveer turns to look towards Naina, whose eyes are now cascaded down, thinking about Rajveer and Nandini. Understanding what she must be going through, Rajveer's eyes soften, he tells her,

"Naina jaisa tum soch rahi ho waisi koi baat nahi hai!"

Naina stares him, blankly. She needs to know before she gets into any conclusion.

"Naina kal maine tumse kaha tha ki Dr. Mishra mera past nahi hai. Subko ye galat fehmi thi that something was brewing up between us. Naina flirt karne mein aur pyar karne mein bohot farak hota hai. There is a very thin line that divides the both"

Lowering his eyes, he looks back towards her, gauging her reaction, as he says,

"Jaise Huda karta hai subke saath aur... tumhare saath!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other. Conveying each other so many emotions)

Naina creases her brows and lowers her eyes, hurt. She of course doesn't enjoy Huda's flirts, she rather either endures or shrugs them off at times. She starts taking deep breaths out of anger. Rajveer understands but he needs to make her understand everything.

"Dekho Naina main janta hun ki tumhare aur Huda ke beech kuch nahi hai. Naina, main aur Naveen bhi cadets reh chukey hain. Hum bhi unn sub cheezon se guzar chukey hain jinse tum sub guzar rahe ho"

Then lowering his eyes, he continues,

"Naina, tum janti ho ki Dr. Mishra Naveen ka past thi, ye baat main pata nahi kaise miss kar gaya. Kabhi dhyan hi nahi gaya. I guess Naveen apni feelings ko chupane mein bohot expert tha... bilkul tumhari tarah!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Naina lowers her eyes again out of shyness.

Clearing his throat, looking elsewhere for fraction of seconds, he looks back towards her and continues,

"Naina main bohot disciplined cadet tha. That's true ki kabhi kabhi Naveen aur Dr. Shalini ke saath masti kar leta tha but otherwise main inn sub cheezon mein zada nahi tha!",

he tells her, thinking about the days he spent with Naveen and Dr. Shalini and that brings a smile on his face.

Naina's heart swells as she notices how deeply he is attached to them.

"Naveen ek din suddenly mujhse puchne laga..."

*Flashback*

In boys hostel

"Tere bina jeeya jayena,

tere bina jeeya jayena.

Bin tere, tere bin sajna...

Saans mein saans aye na...

Ho...

Tere bina jeeya jayena",

sings Raj, combing his hair, standing in front of the mirror.

Naveen who is resting on the bed, reading his book, looks towards him suspiciously. Looking back into his book, turning pages, he calls Raj,

"Raj...!"

"Haan Naveen?",

says Raj, busy in combing his hair.

"Yaar main soch raha tha, kitne mahine ho gaye humein KMA aye hue. Humare batch mein kitni sari ladkiyan hain, hai na?",

asks Naveen, building a plot to reach the main point. He waits for a desirable answer from Raj.

Smiling, blushing, Rajveer still busy with grooming himself, says,

"Pata nahi yaar! Tu to janta hai main inn sub cheezon mein dhyan nahi deta zada"

Sitting straight, getting excited, Naveen says,

"Bus yahi to problem hai teri Raj ki tu books aur classes ke alawa idhar-udhar dhyan nahi deta!"

"Galti? Par mujhey jitna durr yaad hai to last time jab maine B.C. se baat ki thi to wo mujhey issi baat ke liye shabbashi de rahe the!",

smirks Raj, looking into the mirror and starts humming the song 'tere bina jeeya jayena..'

"B.C.!!!",

curses Naveen, looking away.

Diverting back his attention on Raj, Naveen says,

"Nahi Raj you know zindagi kitabon mein hi guzar jaye ye zaruri nahi, you know"

"Of course I know!",

says Raj.

Naveen gets excited as he hears this thinking that now he is coming to the point.

"Tujhse kisne kaha main apni zindagi kitabon mein guzarne wala hun?",

asks Raj, this makes Naveen even more excited.

"Arey yaar KMA se pass ho kar, mujhey desh ke liye kuch karna hai! Bohot kuch karna hai! Kitne nirdoshon ko antankwadiyon se bachana hai. Unka ghar banana hai aur...",

as he was about to continue, he gets interrupted by Naveen,

"Aur apna ghar?"

His question succeeds in skipping Raj's heartbeat.

"Mera... mera kya?",

asks Raj, knowing exactly what Naveen asked.

Laughing, he says,

"Tu... tu ye kya puch raha hai Naveen? Tu achi tarah janta hai ki KMA hi mera ghar hai. Tum sub mera parivaar"

"Fine theek hai manta hun ki KMA hi tera ghar hai aur hum sub tera parivar. Par Raj zindagi sirf rishtedaron se hi nahi chalti. Zindagi jeene ke liye humein ek jeevansaathi ki zarurat hoti hai"

"Nav...",

begins Raj, but Naveen halts him by showing his palm, as a gesture to stop him.

"Ab please apni purani line firse mat use kario jisse sun sun kar main bore ho gya hun that 'Maine shadi kar li hai apne desh se' and all that! Zindagi aise nahi chalti Raj!"

Raj choses to remain quiet.

"Nandini tujhse pyar karti hai Raj!",

Naveen tries to make him realize but it doesn't affect Raj.

Getting irritated he stands up and walking away he shouts,

"Yaar pyar aise nahi hota! Naveen pyar karne ke liye ek dusre ko samjhna bohot important hota hai. Theek hai main manta hun ki Nandini meri dost hai; mujhey achi bhi lagti hai; main uske barey mein sochta bhi hun, par bus ek dost ki tarah!"

He turns to look towards Naveen, his eyes creased out of irritation,

"Naveen tu jab mujhse kehta hai ki shayad mere dil mein uske liye waisi feelings hain, main akele mein iss barey mein sochta hun. But yakeen maan aisa kuch nahi hai. Naveen main ye manta hun ki main ek bohot complicated insaan hun!",

Raj puts his thoughts in front of Naveen, frankly.

Naveen nods with a smile, accepting his thoughts.

Laughing Raj beats Naveen on his upper arm lovingly. Naveen smiles back.

Then Raj continues,

"Main aise hi kisi se pyar nahi kar sakta Naveen. Mere liye ye bohot important hai ki jisse main pyar karun uss mein maturity and bachpana dono hi ho!"

Naveen looks at him quizzically.

Blushing, Raj says,

"Tu nahi samjhega!"

"Ek... ek minute!",

says Naveen, getting excited.

"Don't you dare say ki main nahi samjhunga. Actually you know what I guess main hi hun jo tujhey samjh sakta hun! Trust me!",

says Naveen, not able to believe that he is meeting a person who is unknowingly describing someone who means the world to Naveen!

"Oh really? Aur wo kyun?",

asks Raj, plastering a smile on his face.

"Because mere dost, koi hai iss duniya mein jo bilkul teri tarah soch rakhta hai, aur ussey jhelna kitna mushkil hai ye sirf main janta hoon!",

says Naveen smiling, looking towards Raj.

Raj, plastering a smile on his face, says,

"Tujhey pata hai kya Naveen although tu mera best friend hai par kabhi-kabhi mujhey teri baatein bilkul samjh nahi aati!"

Smiling sarcastically, Naveen says,

"Achi baat hai. Filhal iss baat ko samjhne ki koshish bhi mat kar".

Raj rolls his eyes, unable to understand anything.

"Chal chor. Acha Raj tu such mein Nand...",

says Naveen, but Raj's glare refrains him from saying further.

"You know what maine dekha hai ki wo tujhse baat karne ke bahane dhundhti rehti hai. Wo, can you believe it? Jo kisi se hardly baat karti hai"

"Raj uss din class humne bunk ki par usne sara ilzaam apne sir par le lia ye keh kar ki usne plan banaya tha. Arey usko to hum saath le gaye the aur usne aisa show kiya jaise hum uske saath gaye the. Raj tu janta hai usne ye kyun kiya? Kis ke liye kiya?",

asks Naveen.

Raj looks towards him, although he could anticipate the answer but waits for him to reply.

"Tere liye!",

says Naveen.

"Kya?",

asks Raj, shocked.

"Raj samajh, tu uske life mein importance rakhta hai. At least maine ye feel kiya. I might be wrong but I don't know mujhey to yahi laga. In fact wo tujhey jis tarah se dekhti hai Raj, wo sirf maine hi notice nahi kia, dusre cadets ne bhi dekha hai and I am not lying about it.",

says Naveen.

"Mujhey... mujhey Nandini se iss barey baat karni hi hogi.",

says a determined Raj.

"I guess you are right. Shayad yahi sahi hoga agar tum dono sub kuch clarify kar do ek dusre se".

*Flashback ends*

"So iss tarah se Nandini ka chapter shuru hua.",

sighs Rajveer.

"Shuru hua?",

asks Naina, creasing her brows.

Rajveer smiles sheepishly.

"Well I thought kahani yahan khatam ho gyi hogi? Aur aap keh rahe hain shuru hua?",

asks Naina, surprised but not in a pleasant way.

Smiling apologetically Rajveer says,

"I am sorry but abhi bhi kahani hai agey. How can you expect meri 'love story' itni asani se khatam ho jayegi?"

Raising a brow he stares her, smiling. Naina shakes her head slowly, blushing and lowering her eyes.

"Well I hope tumhe Dr. Shalini ne kuch kaha nahi class mein late pohnchne ke liye?",

asks Rajveer, seriously.

Naina glares him, which makes him to laugh.

"Dekho bus ek din hi hua hai aisa, humesha nahi hoga samjhi tum. Zada expect mat karna",

mocks Rajveer, looking anywhere but towards her, hiding his laugh.

"Excuse me? Maine kaha tha milne ko? Maine kaha tha itni der baat karne ko? Waise ye line to meri honi chahiye thi ki aap zada expect mat karna!",

says Naina, getting angry.

This makes Rajveer to burst out into laugh. Seeing him laughing, melts Naina's heart. She laughs too.

Naina takes a deep breath.

"Alright baki kahani main kal sunn lungi abhi I guess mujhey...",

as she was about to continue, the sound of clouds and lightening skips her heartbeat. She looks towards the window and through the curtains of Rajveer's room comes the filtered light of lightening in the sky.

Looking towards the lightening, Rajveer says,

"Mujhey nahi lagta aaj tumhe ya mujhey neend aaney wali hai!"

His double meaning words skip Naina's heartbeat.

Looking towards him, blushing, she looks back towards the sky. She gets up and walks towards the window and opens it. Rajveer stands up and lets her do whatever she wishes. Smiling, he stares her, standing at his place, her back facing him.

Naina getting excited turns to look towards Rajveer. It feels like ages that she has enjoyed rain. And somehow, unconsciously, she knows that with him she has the liberty to behave childlish. She can live as she likes. She has the liberty to turn innocent like a child. But as she turns and her eyes meet his, she finds him staring her. Not expecting him staring her makes her heart to skip a beat. Slowly, out of shyness she lowers her eyes.

Tu nazar chura rahi hai,

main tujhe dekhe ja raha hoon.

Rajveer keeps staring her. His eyes reflecting his innate desires.

Tu hai jaam ki tarah,

jo main piye ja raha hoon.

He shifts his attention to her trembling lips. Trembling, not only out of cold weather, out of shivering; but out of hesitation and shyness too which are the affects of his constant gaze on her.

Tu nazar chura rahi hai,

main tujhe dekhe ja raha hoon.

Rajveer notices how she is refraining herself from looking towards him. As soon as her eyes reach the moment to meet his gaze, she looks away.

Tu hai jaam ki tarah,

jo main piye ja raha hoon.

Slowly, Naina looks towards him directly. Rajveer staring her, drinks in her beauty. The moonlight falling on her enhances her beauty.

Hoga ishq mein aisa,

Mere hashr Hai Yeh Kaise?

Involuntarily, staring her throughout, Rajveer gets up and slowly walks towards her. His each step increases the rate of her heartbeat. Inside, she tries to think of a reason to stay away from him; to stop him. But her mind gets clouded by his looks, his gazes that he is giving her. She fails to think of any apt reason. Nervously she places the strands of her hair behind her ear.

Tu Dikhaye Jaaye Jalwe,

Main Machalta Ja Raha Hoon.

Reaching her, Rajveer stands in front of her, maintaining a certain distance but otherwise hovering her. He understands that the discussion about Nandini has upset her. But the fact that she didn't show any irritation or hasn't complained about anything, swells his heart. Her this nature makes him to fall for her a little more today. He smiles, looking at her intently, with so much compassion.

The cold blowing breeze makes her hair to blow. At moments her tendrils fall on her face, as a result - disturbs her gazing him.

Tere Kesuon Mein Chup Kar,

Tera Chehra Khil Raha Hain.

Jaise Baadalon Mein Aa Kar,

Dekho Chand Behra Raha Hain.

Rajveer very slowly removes the tendrils of her hair which are disturbing her. Doing that he waits for her to look towards him. His expression, serious. His eyes that are gauging her reactions rest on her eyes. Naina very lightly smiles. The sweetness mingled with her nervousness make her look adorable and tempting. For those few moments he feels as if his feelings for her are clouding his mind. It becomes very difficult for him to resist her; to keep his feelings under check.

Naina, in order to maintain some distance from him walks away from him out of shyness.

She reaches his desk where she finds his diary opened. Although she had no intention of reading it, but the name 'Naina' written on the page catches her attention.

Jo likhe hain tujhpe maine,
wohi geet ga raha hoon.
Tu dikhaye jaaye jalwe,
main machalta ja raha hoon.

Rajveer staring her throughout reaches her from behind. Standing behind her, he asks her in a hushed voice, reaching near her ear,

"Parho!"

She silently reads as she gets his command,

'Naveen

Aaj main pehli baar wahan gaya jahan shayad humare batch ke kayi log ho kar aye ho. Han ye such hai ki wo wahan shayad Captain Rajveer ke saath gayi ho, par main, main Cadet Naina ke saath nahi, Naina ke sath wahan gaya tha! Main Captain Rajveer bann kar nahi Rajveer bann kar uske saath gaya tha. Kash! Kash main ye baat usse bata pata.'

Her eyes turn teary, so many emotions at the same time, suffocates her. This becomes too much for her to handle. She turns to look at him with her teary eyes. Her teary eyes have their affect on Rajveer. So many emotions flood up inside him too. Not able to withstand this hype of emotions, they end up embracing each other into a tight hug!

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they hug each other tightly, not wanting each other to go anywhere)

The jealousy came rushing back to her as she hugs him, that she felt moments ago because of the mention of Nandini and she pulls him towards herself, tightening the hold on to him, to make sure that he is hers and only hers. Rajveer smiles understanding her feelings. This is new for him too, the possessiveness that he is feeling, that someone is showing for him.

Her gesture melts his heart. Still hugging her, he smiles and asks,

"Kal POINT 1857 chalein?"

His makes her to blush, she tightens her hold onto him. This tells him that it's a yes and that she is happy. They both smile, their hearts fluttering.

Getting back to their normal selves, they stare each other, smiling.

Naina says,

"Ek baat puchun?"

Rajveer nods his head, staring her.

"Uss din jab hum 'typical ladkiyon' ki baat kar rahe the, uss din aap Nandini ke barey mein hi bol rahe the na, jo baat apne adhuri chor di thi?",

asks Naina, gauging his reactions.

Rajveer widens his eyes for fraction of seconds, as he remembers the moment instantly,

'Apko... apko... pata hai typical ladkiyan kaisi hoti hain?

Aur mujhey ye baat kyun nahi pata hogi? I mean theek hai ki Nan...'

Naina notices how he becomes nervous. If he didn't have anything to do with her so why is he getting nervous?

Taking a deep breath, he looks towards her, and answers her sincerely,

"Haan!"

Not wanting to keep anything from her, he tells her,

"Naina iss mein Naveen ki as such koi galti nahi thi. Baki kuch male cadets mujhey Nandini ke naam se chirhate the, may be because main first time Dr. Shalini ke alawa kisi aur ladki se baat kar raha tha. Dr. Shalini unn dino bohot free rehti thi, like kisi se bhi baat kar lena chahey ladka ho ya ladki. Sub unke iss nature se wakif the, isliye main unke saath ghumun bhi to koi kuch galat nahi samjhta tha because everyone knew how cool was Dr. Shalini. Par Nandini ke sath mera baat karna mere kayi batchmates ke nazar mein aya. Nandini bhi bohot selective logo se baat karti thi"

"Kaisi thi wo?"

Her sudden question takes him by surprise. How can she be interested to know her? This irritates him. He got flowed away, but of course he doesn't want to discuss Nandini for heavens sake.

Getting irritated, he says,

"Naina please I really don't wanna talk about her. Let's just drop this topic"

Understanding his feelings and need she accepts his decision.

Seeing her all quiet, all of a sudden, Rajveer thinks of diverting his mind saying,

"Waise uss din tum keh rahi thi ki - ek soldier ko sharmana shobha nahi deta. Yani ki tum kabhi nahi sharmati, right?",

he asks, mischievously.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other. Both of them blushing)

Understanding that he is pointing towards the events that took place tonight, she lowers her eyez out of shyness. Rajveer seeing her feeling shy.

"Ahmmm... main chalti hun ab",

says Naina and looks towards him, waiting for him to permit her to leave.

Smiling he nods giving her permission.

"Good night!",

she greets him.

"Good night!",

he wishes back.

As Naina turns to leave, Rajveer calls her,

"Naina"

Naina turns to look towards him.

"Ahmmm... main soch raha tha, kyun na hum kal... POINT 1857 chalein?",

he looks towards her sheepishly.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they look towards each other, both feeling extremely happy)

Not able to hold her emotions, Naina hugs him tightly. Rajveer hugs her back, tightly, not wanting her to go anywhere. Their hearts beat frantically, as they feel each other. Feel the warmth of each other's body. Rajveer pulls her to him asmuch as possible, still hugging her tightly. Naina doesn't complain for anything and lets him enjoy the feel of her!

Leaving her after sometime, although not at all in the mood to let her go yet, he holds her hand, while she stands in front of him, he promises her, almost like confirming that she will go,

"Kal!"

Naina nods her head, her eyes blinking with happiness and love for him.

He walks with her to the door, holding each others' hand. Looking towards him, smiling for the last time, she leaves with her heart filled with love for him and excitement for the next day.

Chapter 6

Day 4

Morning 1000 hours

Pooja reaches Naina who is passing through the corridor.

"Naina. Kya kar rahi hai?",

she asks encircling her hands around Naina's arm.

Naina looks towards Pooja and tells her,

"Kuch nahi Pooja library mein kuch kaam tha to wohin ja rahi hun"

"Oh library? Chal main bhi chalti hun",

says Pooja smiling.

Looking towards her, smiling, Naina asks her,

"Kya baat hai Pooja sub theek to hai na?"

"Haan sub theek hai. Galat hona kya hai? Koi kuch galat kar ke dekh mere saath. Mera ranjha hai na, Ali, wo usko sabak sikha dega jo mere sath kuch galat karega",

says Pooja, thinking about Ali, blushing.

"Arey waah! Ek din mein aisa kya ho gaya ki tu Ali ke barey mein itni pyar bhari baatein kar rahi hai?",

asks Naina, happy on seeing Pooja happy.

"Ek din mein nahi pagal ek raat!",

says Pooja, in a dreamy voice.

Her words make Naina to blush as she remembers the night she spent with Rajveer. Thinking about which she lowers her eyes.

"Oye waise Naina kal tu thi kahan? Jab main room mein ayi tu mili hi nahi",

says Pooja, knitting her brows.

Naina gets nervous, she tries to think of some excuse to escape this situation.

"Bata na!",

nudges Pooja.

"Ahmmm... main wo...",

Naina tries to think of an excuse. Suddenly she succeeds in thinking of one,

"Ahmmm... tu nahi ayi thi to tujhey hi dhundhne gayi thi. Fir itna acha mausam tha ki...",

the remembrance of the weather of last night tranfers her back to the thoughts of the moments she spent with Rajveer.

Many moments start flashing in front of her eyes in a row.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

"...ki mausam ko enjoy karne lagi!",

she completes in a dreamy voice, thinking about Rajveer.

"Akele? Akele?",

asks Pooja.

The question skips Naina's heartbeat. Is she testing her? Has she come to know? Oh god!

All these thoughts make Naina nervous.

"Akele... akele...? Matlab? Akeli hi to hongi!"

"Haan. Par pata hai kya iss mausam mein koi saath ho na, to maza hi kuch aur hota hai",

says Pooja laughing, blushing.

Closing her eyes, shaking her head out if shyness, Naina says,

"Tu bhi na Pooja kuch bhi kehti rehti hai. Chal jaldi ab"

~*~*~

They reach the library and Naina starts searching for the book she desires to read. She tells Pooja about it and asks her to search it in another shelf while she searches in the other one.

Naina reaches to a far away corner to search for the book while Pooja searches for it on the other corner. So many shelves make it impossible for Naina and Pooja to get a view of each other.

After sometime, Pooja finds a book at a corner of a shelf which by it's look seems to have been kept untouched for a long time. But the plain red cover catches Pooja's attention.

At first she makes weird faces, trying to decide whether she wants to touch that book or not because the dust collected on it makes it look very old and dirty. But her curiosity gets the best of her. The cover page had something attractive in itself.

Blowing off the dust, she starts checking out the book. Turning the pages, giving just an overall glance to it that suddenly a chit falls off the book. At first she gets scared as it happens suddenly, but after getting back her composure, she gets down and picks it up. She finds it difficult to read what's written on it as the chit has creases on it, as if someone has crushed it in either out of anger or for hiding it from someone. Pooja somehow feels that it cannot be the first option because had it been done out of anger, then the person crushed it would have thrown it away rather than putting it into a book, safely.

Pooja decides to read what's written on it. But finds it difficult to understand as she has never heard of it.

'Aaj raat 8 baje main tumhe academy ke gate no. 2 pe milunga. Aur shart yaad rakhna. POINT 1857 janey ke liye ye rule follow karna is very important.'

"POINT 1857? Ye kya hai? Aur ye kisne likha hai? Kiske liye?",

mutters Pooja, thinking what can this possibly mean?

"Hayeo rabba kahin... kahin ye koi mission to nahi?",

mutters Pooja. Her own thinking succeeds in making her go numb.

"Mujhey ye baat Naina ko batani hogi. Phir hum sochenge ki agey kya karna hai. Haan!",

decides Pooja.

"Par ye to kafi purani book lagti hai. Jaise kisi ne issey kayi saalon se na kholi ho?",

thinks Pooja.

"Khair jo bhi ho, Naina ko batati hun",

she decides.

"Naina...",

she calls her out, but doesn't get any response.

She peeps and calls her again but the result remains the same.

"Kahan chali gayi ye?",

thinks Pooja. But shrugging it off she focuses back on what she discovered.

Hiding behind a bookshelf, Naina looks towards the person who is covering her mouth with his palm. Her eyes wide opened out of shock.

Getting back to her normal self after the initial shock, Naina beats the person standing in front of her on his upper arm. Widening her eyes she indicates him to remove his hand from upon her my mouth. Understanding her indication, he follows the bid.

As Naina breathes in the air, the intruder says,

"Apun... apun ko tujhse kuch baat karna tha"

Breathing deeply, she asks out of anger,

"Alekh ye kya tareeka tha baat karne ka? Mujhey... mujhey laga..."

She gets interrupted by Alekh,

"Ki Rajveer Sir hain?"

Asking that Alekh tries to hide his amuzement. Naina glares him.

"Pitega mujhse tu",

she warns and blush.

Alekh laughs as he finds her adorable.

"Acha sunn tujhse kaam tha"

"Haan wo to dikh hi raha hai. Warna tu itna acha tareeka thodi na nikalta mujhse milne ka?",

smiles Naina, teasing him.

Alekh blushes.

"Theek hai na yaar. Tu bhi na... Pooja ke samne nahi puchna tha na isliye. Agar uske samne puchta to chilla chilla kar pure library ko cinema hall bana deti",

Alekh rolls his eyes as he remembers how she behaves in theatres.

"Movie theatre!",

rectifies Naina, smiling.

"Haan woyich",

says Alekh.

Naina shakes her head, smiling.

"Acha jaldi bol ab kya baat hai?",

asks Naina.

"Aaj Neelu ka phone aya tha apun ke liye",

says Alekh and lowers his eyes.

This catches Naina's attention, smiling, her eyes twinkling with excitement, she says,

"Ohooo to ye baat hai. Kya bola usne?",

smiles Naina. Her heart swelled with love for Alekh as well as Neelu.

~*~*~

On the stairs of KMA

Huda and Yudi sitting on the stairs of KMA works on completing their notes of Suriji's class.

"Dude uss page ka point 18 aur next to next page ka point 57 dekho",

guides Yudi.

"Point 18... 57... ruk dekh raha hun",

says Huda whilst searching for the points.

"Point 1857?",

blurts Neelu, reaching them.

"Neelu tum yahan kya kar rahi ho? Wo bhi iss waqt?",

asks Yudi, getting up, surprised on finding Neelu there during the working hours of the day.

"Relax bhai, Dad ko kuch kaam tha BC se so...",

begins Neelu.

Her uttering 'BC' so casually, makes both Yudi and Huda nervous. They look around nervously, to make sure that no one else heard it. Yudi nervously, indicates her to lower her voice and she should not use the initials of Brigadier Chandok. But Neelu, going be her nature, shrugs it off.

Arching a brow, she says,

"What? Ye unhe apna naam rakhne se pehle sochna chahiye tha"

Staring her, holding his waist from either side, his head tilted to his left, Yudi getting serious, states as a matter of fact,

"Wo unka surname hai"

But Neelu not ready to buy it, says,

"Theek hai to first name se bulana chahiye tha"

This makes Yudi to roll his eyes. Huda smiles, impressed.

"Ya I have another option, wo Brigadier hi na bante!",

she looks towards them, excited. As if she has given the world's best idea.

"Anyways tum log POINT 1857 ke barey mein kya baat kar rahe ho? Kisi war pe ja rahe ho kya?",

asks Neelu.

And before they can even begin to reply, Neelu says,

"Point 1857 se yaad aya tum logo ne uss shaney Alekh ko kahin dekha hai?",

she asks in a tapori style.

"Tumhe Point 1857 ko sunn kar Alekh ki yaad ayi?",

asks Yudi, unable to understand how can she connect Alekh and Point 1857?

"And wait what am I saying? Sis, it isn't POINT 1857! It is point 18 and 57",

rectifies Yudi.

"Haan POINT 1857 tak janey ki tumhari himmat bhi nahi hai",

mutters Neelu, rolling her eyes.

"Excuse me POINT 1857? Sis, if I am not wrong so wo ek war tha, 1857 ka war! Hum uss point tak kyun jayenge? I mean this all doesn't make any sense",

says Yudi, getting irritated.

"Abey tu rehne de Yudiye. Thand rakh. Samjhne ka kaam tu Huda par chor de. Tu to janta hi hai tu zada dimag chala leta hai to duniya hilne lagti hai..."

Huda's words gain a glare from Yudi. Neelu hides her laughter.

~*~*~

"Wo kahin janey ki baat kar rahi thi. Koi p..",

as Alekh was about to continue, he gets interrupted by Naina's tease.

"Ohhooo... to date-shate par jane ke plans banaye ja rahe hain, haan Alekh?",

smiles Naina, happy for Alekh.

"Tu chinta mat kar main tujhey sarey tips de dungi date pe jane ke",

winks Naina.

Alekh stares her, blushing.

"Aisa kuch nahi hai, apun ki baat sunn pehle"

"Haan bol?"

"Apun thoda... kya bolte ho tum log ussey... ner... ner..."

"Nervous?",

completes Naina for him.

"Haan woyich hai",

blushes Alekh.

Smiling, looking at him lovingly, Naina says,

"Alekh, Neelu chahey subke samne jitna marzi bindaas bann jaye jaise usse kisi baat se farak nahi parhta lekin such ye hai ki ussey apni family, jis mein ki of course Yudi bhi hai, aur tere, hone na hone se farak parhta hai"

Her words swell his heart. This is the first time he is feeling that apart from his group and most importantly Naina, there is someone else in the world who cares for him; thinks about him.

"Oh yes! 'Mission Point 1857' here we come!"

~*~*~

Pooja unaware of Alekh and Naina's presence in the library leaves the library in search of someone with whom she can share about what she discovered.

As she ushers through the corridor she meets Ali on her way to the mess. She sighs, as if she has got the solution of a big problem.

Smiling with all her heart, she greets him,

"Ali!"

"Arey Pooja ji aap kahan se aa rahi hain?"

"Main library se... khair wo chor ye bata tu ne Naina ko kahin dekha?"

"Nahi Pooja ji balki hum to ye abhi apse puchne waley the kyunki hum akele hi ghum rahe hain koi mil hi nahi raha"

"Mil nahi raha? Kyun Alekh, Huda aur Yudi kahan hain?",

she asks, concerned.

"Akhri baar unhe Dr. Shalini ke class ke bahar dekha tha"

Pooja who becomes restless to share with someone about POINT 1857 thinks about sharing it with Ali. Biting her lower lip she stares him, thinking.

"Aap... aap humein aise kyun dekh rahi hain Pooja ji?",

asks Ali, feeling utterly shy, under her constant gaze.

Pooja who was staring Ali, but was actually thinking about the mystery behind POINT 1857 gets out of her reverie after hearing his comment. She realizes how it all must have looked like this whole time and quickly lowers her eyes, feeling shy.

"Ali mujhey na tujhse kuch kehna hai...",

begins Pooja.

"Haan kahiye na Pooja ji",

ecourages Ali.

Pooja explains him everything.

"Ali mujhey pata nahi kyun aisa lag raha hai ki mujhey iss barey mein pata lagana chahiye",

says Pooja, in a state of dilemma.

"Haan haan Pooja ji, agar aap pata lagana chahti hain to hum pata zarur lagayenge",

assures Ali.

Pooja smiles at him, as a gesture of thankfulness. Ali returns back the smile.

"Ahmmm... par hum karenge kya?",

asks Pooja, unable to decide where to begin with.

"Humare paas ek yojna hai",

says Ali, getting excited.

"Kon hai?",

asks Pooja, listening the word 'yojna' misunderstanding it to be name of some girl.

"Kon nahi... yojna... plan",

smiles Ali.

"Acha tu to bohot achi Hindi bol leta hai Ali. Itna to main bhi nahi janti",

appreciate Pooja, impressed.

Ali blushes on receiving the compliment from her. Then getting serious, he tells her,

"Hum iske barey mein internet ki sahayta se jankari nikal sakte hain. Sarey information honge wahan"

"Waah beta kya dimag lagaya hai",

Pooja pretends to be impressed.

"Aur computer lab mein aap kaise jayenge aap zara mujhey batane ka kasht karenge?",

asks Pooja, plastering a smile on her face.

"Pooja ji humein itna kachcha khiladi bhi mat samjhiye ap",

says Ali, pretending to be disappointed by her remarks.

Laughing, Pooja says,

"Acha baba theek hai. Ab jaldi bata kya karna hai?"

"Subse pehle humein computer use karna hoga, internet"

"Han wo to pata hai par Computer Lab mein hum aise nahi ja sakti wohi to problem hai!",

says Pooja, feeling sad.

Smirking, Ali says,

"Pooja ji kya kabhi koi rukawat hum cheon (all 6) ko rok payi hai?",

his voice reflects how proud he feels about themselves. This brings a big smile on Pooja's face. They give high five to each other and walks forth to begin with their mission.

(Left Right Left remix version begins in the background)

Pooja and Ali succeed in reaching the lab somehow but on finding the lab teacher there they get nervous and look towards each other nervously.

"Ali, kya karein?",

asks Pooja nervously.

Thinking something, Ali smirks and says,

"Pooja ji isliye aap se kehte hain ki koshish kariye ki koi class miss na ho!"

"Matlab?",

asks Pooja, knitting her brows unable to comprehend with his words.

"Chaliye mere saath",

says Ali confidently and turns to go somewhere.

Not having time to think anything, Pooja follows him.

Reaching Brigadier Chandok's office, Ali knocks the door and asks for permission to get in.

Pooja who was nervous throughout, pulls him back for the last time warning him to change his mind. Assuring Pooja that everything would turn out to be perfectly fine, Ali gets into Brigadier Chandok's office and indicates Pooja to follow him.

"Ahmm... Sir humein zara computer use karne ki permission mil sakti hai?",

asks Ali.

"Computer? Aisa kya zaruri kaam aa gaya cadet ki tumhe computer use karne ki zarurat aa gayi?",

asks Brigadier Chandok in a stern voice.

"Ahmmm... Sir darasal baat ye hai ki aaj Captain Rajveer ne humein apne class mein ek nayi baat batayi hai. Uss barey mein humne library mein dhundha par zada kuch mila nahi. To humne socha agar internet se hum dhundh paye to..??",

says Ali, in a very convincing voice.

"Oh! Ye to bohot achi baat hai cadet",

smiles Brigadier Chandok.

"Rukko main abhi tumhe permission note de deta hun",

saying that he quickly writes a permission letter and hands it over to Ali.

"Thank you Sir!",

smiling, Ali and Pooja leaves.

Using the net as they search about POINT 1857 online, they find nothing except the Revolt of 1857. Giving up their research on Point 1857, they were about to close the webpage when they find a single photo of the place. On witnessing the beauty of POINT 1857 through the picture, Pooja feels ecstatic and utters,

"Wow!"

"Ali mujhey yahan jana hai!",

she demands getting excited.

"Haan haan Pooja ji zarur chalenge",

says Ali, smiling.

"Hmm... to ye hai POINT 1857. Waise theek se kuch dikh nahi raha par itna zarur samjh aa gaya ki jo kuch bhi hai bada romantic hai",

says Pooja, clapping her hands in excitement.

~*~*~

"Dude library ke almost sarey books dekh liye hain but kahin POINT 1857 ke barey mein kuch nahi pata chala",

says Yudi, tired after doing the search work.

"Abey haan yaar Yudiye pata nahi kya hai ye POINT 1857?"

Ali and Pooja happen to cross them at that time and overhear them. Looking towards each other they reach them.

"Yudi bhai, Huda bhai kya chal raha hai? Aap dono kafi pareshan lag rahe hain"

"Kuch nahi yaar aise hi",

replies Huda.

Finding that they are ignoring to share what they were discussing about, Pooja asks,

"Tu kya bol raha tha Huda? Kuch Point.. point...?"

"Chor yaar tu nahi samjhegi",

says Huda.

"Kya nahi samjhegi?",

asks Alekh, reaching them with Neelu.

"Tum? Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?",

scolds Yudi to Neelu.

"Oye nautanki apun se baat kar",

says Alekh, snapping his fingers, asking Yudi to look towards him.

Smiling, Neelu says,

"Mujhey lagta hai Alekh inhe POINT 1857 ke barey mein pata chal gaya hai"

"Point 1857? Wohin jahan tu apun ko le jane ko keh rahi thi?",

asks Alekh.

Neelu nods 'yes', smiling.

"Exactly! And ab hum sub wahan ja kar rahenge. Akhir hum bhi to dekhein kis khet ki muli hai ye POINT 1857!",

says Yudi, determined.

All of them accept Yudi's decision.

At the mess, holding the coffee mug in her hand, kept on the table Naina tries to calm down her accelerating heartbeat. This is it, they are going again to POINT 1857 tonight. Somehow this time it would be different from the last time. This time she knows what the place looks like; this time she doesn't need any guidelines about how should she dress up, she knows it all. Tonight she knows about Nandini. But this time the most important change in her is that, she is confident about her reactions. This time she is determined that she won't hold back her feelings. She won't let him behave formally. Naina blushes and lowers her eyes anticipating what the evening beholds.

Suddenly she remembers, it's been too late she hasn't met anyone. Getting up she leaves the mess in search of all of them.

As Naina reaches the corridor she finds all the five of them dressed up in informals. At first Naina stares them in shock.

"What the hell!",

she mutters, knitting her brows.

Reaching them, staring them throughout in surprise, she asks,

"Ye sub kya hai guys? Tum log kahan ja rahe ho?"

Then looking at each one's overall look, she says,

"Wo bhi itna saj-dhaj kar?"

It is then that they realize that Naina knows nothing about their plan and especially POINT 1857! They feel sorry, thinking how could they miss telling her about everything? But then they were so confused themselves, busy making plans that they completely forgot about her. They all look towards each other. Then Pooja slowly, feeling guilty for not telling Naina about it, reaches her and holding her hand says,

"Naina hum ek mission par ja rahe hain. Sorry tujhey batane ka na to waqt mila aur sahi batayein to yaad bhi nahi tha"

"Mission? Konsa mission?",

asks Naina, intruged.

"Mission POINT 1857!",

says Yudi, feeling proud that they are going for a mission together, excited.

The word succeeds in having it's affect on Naina! She goes numb. She feels as if she has turned deaf or there is some problem with her hearing! She stares them, motionless.

"P... point...",

it becomes difficult for her to utter such a simple word. Gosh! this whole time in the mess she was thinking about 'Point 1857'. Now what has gotten into her? Why is it that she is facing problem in uttering such an easy word?

"Point 1857? Wo... wo.. kya hai?",

asks Naina, nervously, crossing her fingers. Has she somehow blurt out something unconsciously? Gosh!!

"Wohi to pata lagana hai Phoolan!",

says Huda.

Naina stares him, shocked. Unable to understand what to say and what to ask?

"Hi what's up cadets? Tum sub yahan kya kar rahe ho?",

asks Rajveer, reaching them, smiling.

Naina doesn't turn to look towards Rajveer as she feels nervous. How is he going to react when he'll come to know where exactly they are heading towards! Her heart beats frantically.

Rajveer notices that she hasn't turned to look towards him. What all is going on here? This isn't the reaction he was looking forward to from Naina! He stares her, waiting for her to turn. He doesn't call her again for few moments. Giving her time to react.

Naina clutches and opens her fists out of nervousness. This is surely not something he'll enjoy knowing. This thought makes her nervous. But suddenly something strikes her - Why should she care? She is not at fault here. This brings a big naughty smile on her face. He wasn't there to gauge her reactions, when she came to know about their so called mission - 'POINT 1857' - the thought of which makes her to roll her eyes. This is surely going to be interesting, catching him off guard.

Naina turns with a sweet smile on her face and looks towards Rajveer.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Rajveer arches a brow, smiling a little, almost like a smirk. This is so-not-Naina, he thinks. Something is amiss, he concludes.

He focuses back on others.

"Any problem?",

he asks.

"No problem Sir. Hum to bus aise hi ek mission par ja rahe the",

blurts out Yudi.

Huda getting nervous, slaps Yudi on his head. Yudi gives him looks that he hurt him.

"Ahmmm... kuch nahi Sir, koi mission nahi. Ye Yudi bhi na...",

smiles Huda, trying to hide his nervousness.

Standing behind them now, Naina tries to hide her amusement. Rajveer notices her doing so.

"To aap log itna sajh-dhaj kar kahan ja rahe ho?",

asks Captain Rajveer, plastering a smile on his face, staring Huda, demanding an answer from all.

"Ahmmm... nahi Sir hum to bus aise hi...",

says Pooja, smiling, trying to let go of the question.

"Aap log iss waqt apne rooms mein na ho kar aise hi... kya Cadet Ghai?",

asks Captain Rajveer, smiling, enacting in the same manner as Pooja did.

"Hum... hum wo...",

thinks Pooja, nervously.

"POINT 1857 ja rahe hain!",

tells Naina.

This indeed skips not only the heartbeats of all her friends but Rajveer alike.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Rajveer stares her wide eyed. Did she really say that? Is it true that he is not imagining? Rajveer's face turns deep red! Thank god no one noticed him but Naina, or else he would have blushed harder. But how can others notice that when their states are no better than Captain Rajveer's.

Naina enjoys looking at a flushed up Rajveer. This is not a sight that you get to see everyday. Getting out of the shock Rajveer nods his head slowly, staring Naina throughout. His serious expression indicates how he is not enjoying being teased in front of others. But by the end he blushes anyhow. Remembering that others are also there except Naina, he keeps his blush under control, hiding it from them very easily but from her.

"P... Poin... Point 1857?",

asks Rajveer, staring Naina.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina violin tune begins)

Naina doesn't answer but keeps staring him, too busy in gauging his reactions.

Clearing his throat, getting serious, he focus back on others. Knitting his brows he begins to say something when Naina asks him out of blue,

"Aap chalenge?"

Rajveer after getting yet another shock turns to stare her instantly. Get hold of your emotions Naina, for god's sake, thinks Rajveer.

Now this is indeed a good idea, thinks all others. Now that he knows about the plan so why not take him along? He can help them in searching the place. He must be having some idea of the route rest they can find themselves, think all.

"Haan Sir aap bhi chaliye na!",

they all say together, excited.

Rajveer falls into the dilemma whether to laugh at the innocence of his cadets or should glare Naina for messing with him and putting him into this situation.

Naina on the other hand throughly enjoys witnessing his state.

Thinking that he'll deal with her later, Rajveer focuses back his attention on the other five cadets.

"But guys wahan aisa kuch nahi hai jaisa tum log soch rahe ho. Ye mission to kab ka solve bhi ho gaya hai. So you see it's a total wastage of time",

says Captain Rajveer.

The cadets after hearing Captain Rajveer starts reconcidering their decision.

Naina shocked on hearing his words, think,

'I can't believe, aap jhoot bhi bol sakte hain?'

Understanding what's going on in her mind, Rajveer brings out his mobile, and showing as if reading some message, he smiles and says,

"Everything is fair in love and war!"

All the others fail to listen to his words as they are too indulged in deciding what to do.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins as Naina stares him, smiling a little)

Rajveer looks towards her, smiling, he diverts his attention towards the cadets and asks,

"Alright cadets, I hope ye situation sort out ho gayi hai?"

Naina understands that more than to them the question has been indicated towards her. Blushing, she chooses not to look towards him.

Rajveer giving a last look towards blushing Naina, leaves.

~*~*~

"Problem!",

mutters Pooja as she remembers that she needs to tell Naina about what she discovered in library.

Holding her hand, Pooja takes her away.

"Kya hua Pooja?"

"Kuch khaas nahi yaar bus aise hi time pass karna tha",

says Pooja smiling.

"Time pass? Pooja sub wahan hai chal na wohin ja kar sub se baat karte hain. Tera time pass bhi ho jayega",

says Naina. Holding Pooja's hand she pulls Pooja with her. But Pooja refrains to go. She tells her,

"Naina mujhey na library mein kuch mila hai"

"Mila hai? Kya mila hai?",

asks Naina knitting her brows.

"Ek minute ruk",

saying that, Pooja shows her the paper that she discovered.

As she shows it to Naina, it instantly skips her heartbeat.

"Ye... ye tujhey kahan mili?",

asks Naina, shocked.

"Library mein, kaha to!"

"Poo... ja... ye hand writing...",

Naina finds it difficult to complete.

Someone snatches the paper out of her hand and reads it. Naina turns immediately.

Creasing his brows, Rajveer completes her line,

"Naveen ki hai!"

Naina stares him. Her eyes start welling up. Rajveer gives him a sympathetic look, indicating her that he understands what she must be going through. Pooja looks towards the paper in Rajveer's hand, nervously.

"Ye library mein...",

begins Naina.

"Who cares Naina? Kya farak parhta hai? Tum kyun har choti-choti baat ko itna importance deti ho?",

scolds Rajveer, raising his voice.

"Choti baat?",

asks Naina, her eyes on the verge on dropping the tears, but she controls somehow.

"Haan choti baat. Theek hai agar ye library mein mil gaya. So what? I guess we should end this discussion right here.",

declares Captain Rajveer.

Then focusing on Pooja, he commands her,

"Cadet Ghai aap jakar apni classes attend ki jiye, mujhey Naina se kuch kaam hai. Wo baad mein aa jayegi"

"Yes Sir!",

obeying him, Pooja leaves, giving a last look towards Naina, concerned.

~*~*~

As she goes out of earshot, Naina scolds him,

"Aap iss baat ko itni lightly kaise le sakte hain?"

"Kyunki iss mein kuch important nahi hai. Ye seriously lene wali baat nahi hai Naina",

explains Rajveer.

"Seriously lene wali baat nahi hai? How can you say that?",

asks Naina, her voice still raised. Her brows knitted.

"Naina it's very simple. First ye writing Naveen ki hai so of course ye Naveen ne likha hai. Aur rahi baat kiske liye likha hai? So Naina, Naveen ki girlfriend kon thi?",

he asks her, arching a brow, smiling a little.

"Dr. Mishra?",

utters Naina, almost like a whisper.

Rajveer nods his head into positive.

"So ye bhi baat clear ho gayi. Rahi baat ki how can Dr. Mishra be so careless as to forget this chit here? Naina we still have no idea ki Dr. Mishra kab se traitor bani. Could be possible ki unke ander traitor banne ka beej iss pal se bou diya gaya tha? Ya shayad wo iss waqt bhi traitor thi, magar unke kaam itne chotey hote honge ki kabhi kisi ke nazar mein na ayi ho? Aur unhe ye harkatein bachkani lagi? Shayad, shayad wo Naveen ke unke prati succhey pyar ko samjh hi nahi payi?",

says Rajveer.

At this point Naina stares him. Rajveer stares back. Both the pairs of eyes, soft.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

"Shayad unke dimag mein desh se gaddari karne ka junoon iss tarah haawi tha ki unhe Naveen ki suchai, achai kuch nazar na ayi ho?"

His words succeeded in sending shiver down her spine. She remembers, likewise, even she got flowed away so much that she didn't consider thinking about the reason, why did Rajveer kill her brother, Naveen?

"Theek ussi tarah na jaise ye such janey ke baad ki Naveen Bhaiya par apne goli chalai, mujhey apki suchai, achai, Naveen Bhaiya se apka unconditional bond, nazar nahi aya?"

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune continues)

"Galti thi meri wo! Bohot badi galti!",

apologizes Naina, not able to meet his eyes.

"Naina...",

he calls her softly.

Naina looks towards him, getting emotional. Rajveer shakes his head, staring her intently. Naina rubs off her tears and smiles, that doesn't reach her eyes.

"Main tumse bilkul naraaz nahi hun Naina. Bilkul bhi nahi",

assures Rajveer.

Smirking, her heart sinking as she witnesses his unshakable trust and faith for her.

"Aap mujhse gussa hote kab hain?",

she asks.

Rajveer, smiling, begins to reply, indicating his index finger towards her. And understanding what he is about to say, she quickly adds, not giving him opportunity to speak,

"Siwaye professional matters ke!"

Rajveer widens his eyes, surprised that she dared to say that. And they both burst out into laughter.

Then getting serious, remebering the moment again, Naina says,

"Mujhey apse kuch kehna hai!"

This surprises Rajveer. What does she want to say?

"I know it's quite late to say this but... aaj baat uthi to... I mean I need to do this. I should have done it much earlier but anyways, I am sure aap mujhey samjhoge",

Naina puts her trust and faith in him.

Unable to understand where the conversation is leading towards, Rajveer looks at her quizzically.

With utter shyness and guilt, she confesses how guilty she feels about the incident.

"Uss din gussey mein aakar maine jo kuch bhi kiya uske liye I am extremely sorry."

She doesn't look up towards him, not having courage to face him.

This skips Rajveer's heartbeat. She doesn't have to do this. He doesn't bear any grudges against her. He is just happy about the fact that everything is back to normal between them.

"Naina ye tum kya keh rahi ho?",

asks Rajveer, knitting his brows. Hurt on finding her apologizing for something he doesn't even hold her responsible. It was but natural for her, for a sister to react in the way she reacted after learning the truth behind her brother's death. The hatred wasn't for Rajveer but for the killer of Naveen, her brother, he understands this.

Naina stares him, waiting for him to continue.

"Naina main janta hun tumhare liye Naveen ko innocent prove karna kitna zaruri hai; kya mayine rakhta hai. So trust me maine tumhare kisi bhi baat ka bura nahi mana",

Rajveer assures her.

"Nahi Sir, maine galti ki hai, I know. Ye apki achayi hai ki aap mujhey kuch nahi keh rahe"

"Naina..."

"Bus Sir, mujhey iss barey mein aur argument nahi chahiye. I know I was at fault, and must apologize. So please, kindly accept my apologies",

says Naina sternly, but politely. She knows sternness is necessary or else they will get into an argument as always.

Finding her sterness adorable, Rajveer smiles. Naina smiles back.

"Maine tumhe tumhari har baat ke liye maaf kiya!",

declares Rajveer, smiling with all his heart.

Naina blushes, thanking him silently.

Then suddenly something comes into her mind, she says,

"Oh han apne ye to keh dia ki apne mujhey mere har baat ke liye maaf kar diya. Par har baat ka matlab ye nahi ki main 'POINT 1857' le jane ke liye jo apko tang karti hun, uske liye bhi maafi maang rahi hun"

He looks at her, widening his eyes. Naina stares back, blushing, waiting for him to reply.

He bursts out into laugh and says,

"Nahi... nahi maine tumse aisa kuch expect nahi kiya!"

After enjoying his laughter, he clears his throat and asks,

"So ready for tonight?"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare each other)

Naina blushes, looking towards him with sparkling eyes she nods in quick succession.

Sighing and shaking his head just like the last time, using the same tone just to tease her, he says,

"See you at 1900 hours!"

The repeatition of his words from the last time make her heart to flutter. Her eyes sparkle. She feels ecstatic.

"See you...",

replies she, almost like a whisper out of her flushed up state.

Enjoying looking at blushed Naina, Rajveer smiles with all his heart and turns to leave, that suddenly he remembers something and that skips his heartbeat, how could he possibly forget that?

He turns back to look at her. Naina notices that now not only her, in fact Rajveer is also flushed by some sudden thought, but what, she knows not! She stares him, smiling, her forehead wrinkled. She asks,

"Kya hua?"

Lowering his eyes, he asks her,

"Naina kya tum ek minute mere room mein aa sakti ho?"

"Yeah sure!",

agrees Naina immediately. After all this is not the first time she is going to his room. What was the problem in asking her that? When she can meet him there after lights out, so why can't she go now?

"Sub... theek hai?",

she asks, hesitant.

"Haan, chalo!",

he says and without looking at her again, he walks for his room.

Reaching there, he gestures her to get inside first, like a gentleman. Following her, he enters his room and bolts the door securely. Naina gauges his each action, anticipating his next move, but nothing matches her expectations.

He opens his cupboard and brings out a packet. Naina notices him staring at it, doubtful. Then he returns back to her and presents it to her, shying. Naina stares him, blushing and smiling as she accepts the gift and asks him,

"Kya hai ye?"

He looks towards her, blushing and asks her to check it out,

"Kholo!"

Opening it she finds a simple dark blue suit. Naina's heart swells looking at it; her eyes twinkle.

"Thank you!",

she says smiling, with her eyes glued to the beautiful clothing that he has gifted to her. Which is so precious to her.

Rajveer's sigh in relief grabs Naina's attention.

"Kya hua?",

she asks.

"I was nervous!",

he confesses. Shutting his eyes, he blushes.

"Maine pehle kabhi kisi ko... I mean kisi ladki ko... aise... gift...",

unable to complete, out of shyness, he shakes his head, knowing that she'll understand.

Naina's heart swells and flutters at the same time, listening to his sweet confession. But just to tease him; to minimize his blush, she asks,

"Nandini ko bhi nahi?"

Rajveer looks into her eyes. Her question skips his heartbeat. Looking into her eyes sincerely, he shakes his head into negative, smiling. They both hold the stare and enjoys it for sometime after his yet another sweet but silent confession.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina happy tune begins)

She nods her head to indicate him that she is happy on receiving the gift from him.

"Main chalun?",

she asks for his permission sweetly.

Rajveer nods, smiling, his eyes sparkling and permits her to leave.

~*~*~

Naina reaches at the exact time and place and finds Rajveer waiting for her wearing white shirt and blue trousers typing something on mobile.

"Hi!",

he greets her, not removing his eyes from upon his phone.

"Hi!",

she greets back, surprised that he wasn't oblivious to her reaching him. She smiles.

"Kya hua?",

asks Rajveer, putting the phone into his trousers pocket and looking towards her.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins as he looks at her)

Her natural beauty leaves him mesmerized yet again. Blushing he keeps the compliments to himself. He accepts silently that she never fails to skip his heartbeat whenever she wears informals.

He lowers his eyes as he realizes that he is staring. Naina blushing, had lowered her eyes already.

They commence their journey.

~*~*~

(Slow Rajveer-Naina piano tune begins)

As they walk on the lonely road covered with trees on the either side, Rajveer asks her,

"Naina, do you trust me?"

The sudden question skips Naina's heartbeat. Rajveer's eyes cascaded down, he doesn't look up towards her.

"Aap ye baat mujhse pehle bhi puch chukey hain!",

she says, looking towards him.

This makes Rajveer to halt, he widens his eyes on knowing that she remembers. They both together remember the moment, Naina looking towards a surprised Rajveer and Rajveer looking somewhere ahead on the road, as they remember...

'Main tumhara mentor hun. Lekin tum mujh par kitna trust karti ho?'

Smiling, he turns to look towards her and says,

"Haan! Par uss din maine wo uss Naina se pucha tha jo meri protegee hai, aur aaj main jis Naina se puch raha hoon wo meri..."

(Slow Rajveer-Naina guitar tune begins)

Smiling, Rajveer cascades down his eyes.

"Wo apki...?",

she asks him to complete his incomplete sentence.

Smiling, he says,

"Khair janey do... tumhe ye dress kaisi lagi?",

he tries to change the topic.

By now they have started to walk.

Smiling, blushing, she says,

"I am sorry inn sub baaton mein, main apko thanks kehna to bhul hi gayi."

"Thanks?",

he asks, looking towards her.

"Mujhey ye dress bohot achi lagi. Thank you so much",

she says, smiling, looking intently towards him.

He sighs inaudibally. But it doesn't go unnoticed.

"Aap nervous the?",

she asks.

And not even giving her time to breath after asking the question, Rajveer replies,

"Bohot!"

The instant answer justifies his nervousness.

Smiling, she says,

"I must say, apki choice bohot achi hai"

Rajveer looks towards her. Naina stares back.

"Wo to hai!",

he says.

And his look explains her, what exactly he is referring to.

Naina lowers her eyes slowly, blushing.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

~*~*~

They continue with their journey silently for some moments.

"Apse ek baat puchun?",

asks Naina.

"Pucho",

says Rajveer.

"Aap bhi meri tarah uss din POINT 1857 pehli baar gaye the. To kya apko mann nahi kiya firse yahan jane ka?",

asks Naina, her heart beating fast as she anticipates his answer.

Shutting his eyes tightly, Rajveer smiles, trying to control his feelings and asks,

"Naina agar tumhara mujhse puchne ke jagah main tumse puchta wapas yahan aney ko kya tum meri baat manti?"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Rajveer turns to look at her.

The question makes the blood to rush up to her face. She blushes under his constant gaze. His look oozes his possessive and his feelings towards her.

Naina takes her time to answer him. They keep staring each other. Then slowly, not ending the eye contact she asks,

"Apko kya lagta hai, kya main itni desperate thi wapas jane ko ki main kisi ke saath bhi chali jati wahan?"

Unable to understand why is she asking that, he asks,

"Maine aisa kab kaha?"

"Main apko ab bohot achi tarah samjhne lagi hun, aur ye baat aap bohot achi tarah jante hain!"

"Matlab?",

he asks, confused.

"Matlab ye ki main apke siwaye kisi aur ke saath yahan jana to kya, yahan jane ke barey mein soch bhi nahi sakti!",

she states clearly.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

"Kyun?",

he asks in a low voice.

They stare each other intently. Both knowing the reason why she wouldn't dare to go with someone else other than him, but simultaneously they both know what big tease Rajveer is! Oh, Rajveer of course knows about himself, and Naina... she is exploring Rajveer for the first time! Rajveer and not Captain Rajveer!

Thinking of a reply, she says, avoiding looking at him directly and using her peripheral vision. She strays away a little from him, just a precaution, as deep down she could anticipate the future.

Getting away a little, looking at him through the corner of her eye, she says,

"Ab yahan jane ka koi short route to nahi hai. Aur aise uut-patang, muskil road se to koi soldier hi ja sakta hai!"

Rajveer walking at little distance from her now, widens his eyes. Did she really say that?

Stopping abruptly at the lonely road, he calls out to Naina, creasing his brows, asking,

"To tum mere saath isliye ja rahi ho kyunki main ek soldier hun?"

His voice tells Naina that she hurt the male ego in him. But somehow she finds it quite amusing.

Turning to look towards him, excitedly, Naina shakes her head to a 'yes', grinning.

Seeing her grinning, transforms the little of Captain Rajveer left in Rajveer this moment into Rajveer.

Getting excited, he warns her,

"Brace yourself Naina!"

Taking the comment seriously, as she could read his ulterior motives through his eyes, Naina laughs out loud and runs away. Rajveer with full enthusiasm runs after her to chase her. He knows this won't be difficult because right now he is not facing Cadet Naina but his Naina! He understands his mere presence around her makes her go weak on her knees! And thinking about it this moment, Rajveer appreciates her in his mind for holding her feelings, keeping control on it so well in front of others. He realizes this is yet another reason why he loves her. And the realization makes him to fall in love with her a little more!

Rajveer runs after her, while Naina does her best to stay away.

She tries to dodge him, laughing. Rajveer enjoys it thoroughly. It at times frustrates him when he reaches so close to Naina but she somehow escapes and doesn't come in his hold. Hell! how does she do that? While Naina enjoys this little victory, there on the other hand Rajveer's failing the first attempt to catch her makes him determined to catch her and teach her a lesson about how she should not mess with him!

Tumse kahein ya hum na kahe,

Bahki hui kyun hai ye dhakane?

Rajveer's eyes turn dark as he gets determined to catch her and let her know how she should stop behaving oblivious to his feelings for her. His heartbeat picks up pace as he finds it quite exciting.

Hatho me yun to haath hai,

Lekin dil mee jo baat hai,

Tumse kahen ya hum na kahe?

Tumse kahen ya hum na kahe?

As he tries to catch her, his hand brushes off with her hand but he misses to get a hold on to it. His getting so close to his goal but missing it at just the right moment, fuels his frustration and excitement.

'Yeh raat chaand raat,

tum jo ho ab sath,

teeno ghoom rahe raat mein.

Tum, chand aur main,

inn raahon mein,

aur chalte chalte hum tino,

Kheele koi khel bhi'

The cool night breeze and her run blows her hair, making her look oh-so-beautiful. Naina turns to look at him, laughing. She finds him laughing too, the distance still not covered between them. What does he wants to show, that Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat is losing a mere game from his mere cadet, Cadet Naina Ah Singh? Does he want to give her one chance to feel proud of herself that she has beaten Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat in this game of chase?

Staring her with his eyes filled with joy and immense love for her, he starts walking towards her leisurely. Naina admits that this leisure walk is making him to look all the more desirable!

'Har su ho jaise tum,

main to hoon jaise ghum.

Aankhon me,

ghul gaya ye sapna.

Chahe dekhun kahi,

chahe sochun kabhi.

Yaadon ke rango se,

nikhri hai jaise zindagi.'

It becomes difficult for her to think about a way to escape him, with her throbbing heart. Her mind goes blank seeing him coming towards her that way, with that look in his eyes. She can't even hide herself anywhere to escape that look that he is giving to her. The look which although she gets every now and then from him these days but each time it feels so fresh and new. And right now when they are alone in this lonely road the look is doing more magics than it does usually. Hell, there is no one to go to. The one who is her savior is after her right now but still it feels so good to get chased by him! Wherever, even if she glances to the far away point there is no one but them there. The thought sends chills down her spine. God, she is enjoying her vulnerability!

This is the moment when her knees lose their strength and Rajveer knowing by her look, makes the best of the opportunity! How could a soldier miss reading someone? It is his all time job to keep a check on the point when his enemy turns weak and starts losing the battle. That is exactly the moment when he can make the best use of his vulnerability and win the battle.

With Naina of course it is no battle, it is rather the opposite! It is the love! But still there is no harm in using his intelligence sometimes with her. Whatever it is, they can't deny that he is her mentor; her senior. Of course he would always have the upper hand. But when to use it and when to let go, just to see her rejoicing her victory, that depends on Rajveer. But right now he is in no mood to let her win and give her a chance to tease him!

Picking up speed he reaches her. Holding her by her wrist he quickly twists her hand behind her and looks into her eyes. His look tells her how desperate he was to get a hold of her.

Tumse kahen,

ya hum na kahe.

Dil kehta hai,

aise hi rahe.

Mehke lamha saare,

lekin jazbat saare,

Tumse kahen ya hum na kahe.
Tumse kahen ya hum na kahe.

Naina doesn't try to let go off his hold. His possessive stare makes her go numb. Rajveer enjoys this closeness and wishes that it lasts forever. Unable to control himself any longer, he slowly moves his lips towards her neck. Anticipating his next move Naina shuts her eyes slowly. Her vulnerability makes it impossible for her to do anything quickly.

When Naina's state is this, Rajveer is no better. The adrenaline rush that she gave him because of the chase makes it all the more important for him to stay close to her; to mark her as his!

"Ye meri har baat manne ke liye!",

he says, reaching her neckline, before placing his first sweet kiss on her, and marking her as his own.

His statement brings a smile of joy and happiness on her face. Her eyes brim with tears.

Slowly he kisses her neckline. The first feeling of getting kissed gives yet another adrenaline rush in her body. The first time kissing someone does the same to Rajveer as well. The truth that their first kiss is not at an enclosed room but is on a lonely road, lonely, but still the open place makes her to feel exposed. Not only for herself does she feel that, but she feels it for him as well.

She understands how shy he is. He would never do such an act in public ever just like the youngsters of today do. This thought swells her heart. Unable to control her feelings any longer she pulls her to him and embraces him into a tight hug. Rajveer's returning the hug with equal force, even more, makes her to realize the depth of his feelings for her.

~*~*~

Soon they reach the exact place POINT 1857! Reaching there, Rajveer starts moving ahead, taking that she'll follow. But she pulls him back, holding him by his upper arm. Rajveer when jerked back, looks towards her. Smiling, she slowly leaves his arm and takes her hand to hold his hand. This reminds Rajveer of the last time when they came here and he held her hand and ran towards the wishing pillar. The same incident comes to Naina's mind as well which makes her to blush. Rajveer smiles seeing her blushing, knowing the reason behind her blush.

"Kya hua?",

he asks, indicating towards their hands, that they are holding.

"Pehle mujhey wishing pillar ke paas le chaliye!",

says Naina, smiling, blushing.

Arching a brow, smiling, Rajveer asks,

"Kyun wo wish puri ho gayi hai kya jo tumne mangi thi yahan?"

"Kya pata?"

Her reply surprises him. What does she mean? Understanding his questioning look, she says,

"Maine apart from ye ki Naveen Bhaiya begunah prove ho jaye, ye manga tha ki apki sari khwahishein puri ho jaye!"

Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as Rajveer stares her, surprised. Did she really wish that the last time they came here? Does she ever wish for his well being? Even that evening while enjoying seeing her praying it was in his mind throughout that she must be asking for all the strength and wishes and lucks that she needs to prove her brother innocent.
