Just because someone is antisocial or an introvert does not mean they have Asperger's Syndrome. Someone with Asperger's isn't necessarily antisocial either, they may be social and may crave social interactions but they tend to be socially awkward or inept usually lacking proper communication skills in the sense that they are selective (they pick bits and pieces of conversation ignoring other parts and may continue with a certain topic when that topic was ditched long ago) or they are unable to pick up on nuances in speech, intonation, etc. They may display repetitive behaviours or may be inflexible. They tend to not be as empathic as the average person. Many times they are very intelligent people.

(I have a Psych degree and personally knew someone with Asperger).
