Res Unres:
Viji darling 🤗 x 100 for another lovely mushy piece and another touching dedication to me (along with Lanny!) Mwwah.
Reading baby Shruti's name took me to that very long time ago when I first started reading your work and had come across Shiv and Shruti Maheshwari and we had had a brief exchange over comments 😃. Just like those works, this one is a balm during stormy waters on the actual show.
SwaSan as parents are so adorable, especially Sanskaar, to whom this piece really belongs IMO. His whole overwhelming love for Swara should have indicated - when such a man would become a father, he would be beyond amazing and he is!
The babies are super little mini me's of their sterling parents, with the best bit of all so how could anyone not love them and then to top that off, the dilemma every parent of a later born child faces- how to make the first one not feel excluded and insecure- was brought out so sweetly! I LOVED how after the lovely conversation with his adored wife, Sanskaar comforted his little tyke, first drawing him out of his new shell and then how they managed to make Varun feel part of, rather than part removed from, Shruti. Truly blissfully happy family by the end indeed- awww.
I also loved the tender of the beginning, showing SwaSan's utter delight still in each other, only enhanced by the completion of their perfect circle as the best relationships are- shighhh.
Such a sweet and adorable piece, full of those little but hugely significant things that make life special! Wonderfully written as always, which is a given anyway with your work!
Big love again for the dedication.
Love you,
Shru xoxo
