yes, i dont hv time to write out a detailed review...typing in between cookingbut here is a summary1) it is a for a niche audience, not for masses at all...and among the niche audience, those who read and APPRECIATED Charles Dickens book would have a better chance of liking it because of the slow pace...2) Abhisheks direction...classy but real...nothing is OTT jarring, loud...everything in the film is subtle, nuanced3) the storys flow was interrupted a bit by Tabus backstory which was shown in the wrong time...maybe they should hv shown in in the beginning in order to let viewers understand where she was coming from...better...they show it nearer the end...and it interfered with the narration of showing the momentum of noors growing passion for Firdaus and her reciprocating ( which was not shown convincingly, i can understand why viewers were confused with her character)..4) so so beautiful...the film is a thing of beauty..there is no scene which doesnt hv aesthetic appeal😆.5) it is a lengthy?novel which had to be adapted to two and a half hours..it needs skilful narration which the writers might not hv been able to achieve completely...according to those who read the book it is a journey of self discovery of protagonist Pip but here in two and a half hours where u have to squeeze in Tabus story, Pips story, kats story, it was not an easy task...and hence the sketchy narration6) everyone acts wonderful, dont listen to the naysayers...one of Adityas finest performances, Kats very adequate, Tabus has moments of brilliance like Adi depending on what her scenes wer and did she understand what she was doing..Aditi Rao Hydari, Ajay devgn, Rahul Bhatt, noors friend. lara all did good with their roles..music is beautiful, the songs lifting the film by their beautiful picturisation, mostly telling the story or enhancing it..7) they didnt show enough of the way Noor fell for Firdaus...it was a little hurried so people mightve felt lack of chemistry...but the actors looked as much in love and anguish as the screenplay would let them..8) the film will seem very slow to those who are used to thrillers and romcoms so they should avoid it..and of course, if there are those who dnt believe in the madness of love, giv it a miss. why should u even go..9) music is beautiful, the songs lifting the film by their beautiful picturisation, mostly telling the story or enhancing it..10) The film could hv looked better had not it been bits and pieces of thngs here and there a bit disjointed in the middle but every scene is executed beautifully...Abhisheks direction is anyways..to be enjoyed in bits and pieces if not as a whole in this film...i enjoyed the movie...helped of course by the fact, that i am both Katrina and Adityas fan and a fan of this type of story telling

" As for the acting, Pulkit still tries to exorcise the ghosts of his mentor's acting (you know whom I am talking about) and even replicates his spectacled look from Ready (now you definitely know who I am talking about!). But he lacks none of his mentor's charms. Urvashi's only job is to look hot (good job at that, girl), wear bikinis and lots of make-up and also pose backless. Yami has to look pretty and cry a lot in the second half."
I don't wanna be mean but this film releasing in over 2000 screens is utterly funny! 😆
