Ravan was in an imaginary won mode with the planning for the future life status of Sita. What an asura who not only thought great of him but also about his wife w/o knowing anything about others!!! Its a self-contradictory statement by Ravan. He proclaimed himself as a great warrior and great shiva bhakth and his wife the great chaste. Has he gave an opportunity by creating an unbearable situation to test Mandodari? I agree she is one among panch kanya but certainly not equal to Sita, who didn't face the hardships like Sitađ. Leaving this apart, Ravan's egoistic approach towards Shiv dhanush indicated the dharm path that self-appraisal leads to self-destruction.
In our working circle, we are asked to submit self-appraisal form every year which is merely to analyze our improvement in the standard. But if the form is filled with too much of praising themselves, it becomes the place for fun. Yes, nothing wrong in saying what we did so far, but the way in which we render the words shows who we are. Self-Appraisal can be about what we did and not what we will do.đ
A sharp answer from King Janak đwas quite enough for him to enter the compulsory zone. He talked more than what was actually needed on the place.
On the other hand, even though Ram has done enough good at that age, he was seen only on the self-assessment mode when Sita questioned him.
There is no need to utter words like, we know this and that to showcase ourselves, just lets do our work with perfection and the world will automatically know us.
The very good example is Thiruvalluvar, (idk how many in the forum knows him). In his thirukural, nowhere he mentioned about his god, caste, educational qualification and importantly his language. But right now, the world knows him and his beautiful work.
Yesterday, I noted these following three points:
1. The moment Ravan entered the sabha and started long lecture of self appraisal, I was eagerly waiting for his ego to crash.
Here I went to self evaluation mode, yes I am so happy with the downfall of superiority complex person.đ
2. If one talks too much about himself, people will be irritated and lose their interest.
Giving non-stop lectures is easy but its difficult to be in the receiving end.đĄ
3. Sita said being independent still being together. Yes, she was in sabha but none of Ravan's actions/words affected her.
IDK, whether a normal human being can be still in that state.đ
I stop with this as too much of anything is good for nothingđ
