Munira: Shanu, Ab gaana hi gaati rahogi yaa jaldi jaldi kaam bhi karogi?

Shanaya: Doing Di..!! Main Bas yeh Soch kar excited hoon ki Fawad is coming!

Munira: Uff! Fawad toh guests mein aayega! Par jiski party hai woh toh pehle aayegi naa?

Shanaya: Oh Sanama? Uski fikr mat karo! Sab Ready Hai. (The Oven Beeps, announcing the making of cake!) Its the Cake! (Goes and get the cake out of oven!)

Munira: Woh Caterers Aaye ki nahi? What about Food?

Shanaya: Abhi Unka call aaya tha Di, Half an Hour mein yahi honge!

Munira: Chalo Shukr Hai. But Biryaani toh will be home cooked by me! (Goes and opens up the vessel)

Shanaya: Ummm... Wow Di..!! Yummy!

Munira: Thank You! I hope Sanam loves it.

Shanaya: She will. (Takes the icing out of freeze and begins to apply on cake) BTW Di, Fawad will be coming alone that too with Aayan!

Munira: Ah! Sadaf?

Shanaya: Though I invited her too, but aaj subah he FK msgd that she won't be coming. Hayee! FK!

Munira: Come out of ur dreamland and do the icing.

Shanaya: Sorry! Sorry! (Starts working)

Nandini: (sees party preps going on in full action) Heya fannn girlllsss ! Wats up?

Shanaya: Busy busy busy !

Munira: so good to see you!

(Nandini smiles)

Munira: Stop smiling and pass that bowl !

Nandini: yummm..can I have a bite?

Shanaya: No baba.. My sanama will taste it first..

Nandini: yeah right! (sarcastically) BTW why all these preps?

Shanaya and Munira stare her with unbelievable expressions..

Nandini: What ?! Why are you staring me like I've grown two heads?

Shanaya: Nandu.. It's 2nd February!

Nandini: So?!

Munira: So?? It's 2nd Feb.. How can you forget this?

Shanaya: You're unbelievable!

Munira: Very disappointed !

(Nandini looks around confused)

Shanaya: Nandu , 2nd Feb girl?!

Nandini: ( irritated with constant 2nd feb rant) Aaj Tuesday bhi hai !! So wat ??

Shanaya and Munira:(in unison) : It's our Sanam's b'day !!!

Nandini: (covers mouth with her hands) : Oh my god ! How can I ??

Shanaya: Yes You Can! Hayee Fawadoo is coming too!

Mere Khwaabon Mein Jo Aaye, Aake Mujhe Chhed Jaye, Usse Kaho Kabhi Saamne Toh Aaye.

Nandini and Munira: Not Againnn!

Nandini: Stop Fangirling Di. FK bhaag jayega!

Shanaya: Haww Aise kaise? Mera Fawadoo!

Nandini looking at Munira: Kuch ho Sakta hai?

Munira: Kuch Nahi. Hopeless Case! OK, Now we need to work! Shanu, Decorate the cake and the table, Nandu put up the balloons while I check on Caterers.

After a while Munira's phone beeps..

Munira: Its Sanam. She and Farhaan Bhai are on their way. Ek ghante mein aate honge! Quick!

Shanaya: Fawadoo!

Nandini and Munira: Uffho! Sanam! (Hit her head together!)

Shanaya: Ouch! OK! OK! (Rubbing her forehead)

They hear Sanam's car honking..

Munira: Hide Quick.

Munira: Aree Shanu lights?

Shanaya: Oh Sorrryyy! (Switches off the lights)

Sanam enters with Farhan..

Sanam: Munira? Nandini? Shanaya?

No Answer. They are giggling silently but Munira chides them.

Sanam : Nandini, Shanaya? Kahaan ho Meri Guriyas? Munira? Kahaan ho Buddy?

Farhan: Are you sure tum logon ka get together ghar pe he tha?

Sanam: Definitely! Tumhare saamne toh message kiya tha!

Farhan: Then, where are they ?

Sanam looks around confused..

Sanam: I guess there's some kind of confusion! Let's go back what can we do now!

Just when, Sanam turns around to leave a soft piano tune begins to fill in the atmosphere. Then, a corner of room illuminates with beautiful butterfly lights.

There's a round table, adorned with fresh lilies and on the center lies a delicious chocolate cake.

Both Sanam and Farhan look on awestruck!

Slowly, the whole room illuminates showcasing the amazing decoration.

Sanam: Flattery! (Embarrassed!)

They all hear another car honking in the corridor outside.

Shanaya: That must be my Zarooon! (Squealed in excitement!)

Jiska mujhe tha intezaar! Jiske liye dil tha bekraar!

Woh ghadi aa gayi aa gayi !

They all look at her with hopeless expressions, Nandini: Subah se yeh he chal raha hai.. So never mind!m

There's a knock on the door, Shanaya: I'll go and open!

She goes ahead to open the door with an ear to ear smile, but it turns into a frown, Shanaya: Didu.. caterers!

Everyone shares a good laugh! Munira goes to deal with the caterers.

Everybody settles down and chat about random things while mocktail is being served. Just then, there's another knock on the door!

Shanaya jumps from her seat but then, Shanaya: Nandu, Why don't you go and open the door!

Nandini: Okay! (Giggling!)

This time, it's actually Fawad. Looking ever-refreshing in casual tees and denims with his million dollar smile!

Fawad: Hey Nandini! (with a side hug)

Nandini: Hi! (Staring him shamelessly)

Fawad: So..? Sab log andar hai? (Uncomfortable!)

Nandini: Yup ! Where's Aayan?

Fawad: Aayan?! (He looks around)

A little boy's figure appears from his behind. He's holding a gift wrapped in a fancy paper in his little hands. He comes forward and hold his papa's hand tightly.

Nandini goes down on her knees, Nandini: Hello, little gentleman! (she forwards her hand for a handshake)

Aayan shook hands with her, Aayan: Hello!

Nandini: My God, he's so like you!

Fawad smiles as he ruffles Aayan's hairs, Fawad: Andar chale! (as he picks up Aayan in his arms)

Nandini: Yeah sure! Please!

Fawad: After you!

Meanwhile in the living room,

Shanaya: Why is she taking so long? (Impatiently!)

Munira: Calm down, Shanu!

Nandini enters, Nandini: Look who have arrived!

Everyone looks at the door to find Nandini standing along with Fawad and Aayan.

Munira: Welcome!

Fawad goes ahead to greet everyone. He shook hands with Farhan and Munira and Shanaya gets a warm side hug as well!

Fawad: Happy Birthday Sanam!

Aayan: Happie B'day! (he gives the gift)

Sanam: Awww.. Thank you so much! (pulling Aayan's cheeks) Thank you jee!

Fawad: I hope I'm not late!

Shanaya: Nope, not at all!

Nandini and Munira are giggling, hiding their faces. Shanaya glares them!

Munira: I guess, lets go ahead with cake cutting!

Everyone gathers around the table, Fawad: Wow! The cake looks yumm! Isn't it, Aayan?

Aayan: Yes..Daddy! Chacolate's my fav!

Shanaya: I made it!

Sanam: Wow! Well done!

Farhan: Tumhari sari dieting pe paani phir jaayega aaj!

Sanam: I know! But koi baat nahi.. Its my birthday after all!

Nandini: Lets cut the cake!

Sanam blows the candles, makes a wish and then cuts the cake, getting a huge applause! Everybody's cheering!

She feeds a piece to Farhan, and then to Fawad and Aayan, as they hear a camera flash!

Nandini: Twitter update! Churail Murtaza meets Leechar Junaid.. again!(Dramatically)

Everybody shares a hearty laugh! Shanaya: Now, its masti time!

Sanam: Matlab?!

Shanaya smiles mischieviously as she goes ahead to switch on the music player!

Sanam: I love you buddy for this!

They all settle down for a satisfying dinner! Everyone praised Munira for her delicious biryani and Shanaya too earned praises for her cake!

Nandini: Dessert coming! (comes along with bowls of ice-cream)

All of them grabbed their bowls!

Nandini: Abb ek selfie toh banti hai!

Everyone gathered for a group selfie raising their ice-cream bowls!

Ohhh! Such an amazing day it was!

The talented actress was born into a Muslim family residing in London on 2nd Feb 1985. When she was 6 years her family re-located to Pakistan in 1991. She did her O-Level from Bay View High School, Karachi and her A-Level from L'Ecole College.

Even as a child she loved acting and participated in school plays. Her passion for theater began during her school days and she has been associated with theater since then.

Saeed started acting as a child and modeling when she was 16. As a teenager she did not enjoy modeling. As she explains: "I was too young to be caught up in the industry therefore seldom did shows. As an adult, I grew more confident and found modeling more enjoyable."

Her extended family, however, didn't always accept that her career was worth the trouble. Hailing from a family where nobody else had ever been involved in the media, Sanam's parents were always supportive while other members of the family had to slowly be won over. "I remember a time when I would be watching TV with my Nani and would quickly switch the channel every time I appeared on screen," she recalls. "Now, though, she and I watch and dissect my drama roles together."

The actress is known for playing strong characters on screen like Kashaf, Shazia, and Bibi to name a few, but off screen she's different. As she herself defines, "I am firm in my opinions but I am never really as emphatic as the characters I've played!"

Having grown up in Karachi, Sanam is also not averse to hailing a rickshaw or walking on the street. As mentioned by numerous fans who got the opportunity to meet her, she's a down-to-earth personality and doesn't takes herself very seriously!

Last year, on 2nd January she got hitched to her childhood friend, Farhan Hassan, a banker based in Karachi. The wedding functions were attended by many of her friends and close contemporaries from the industry, who came and blessed the couple!

The supremely talented and versatile Sanam Saeed is a British born Pakistani actor, model and singer. When she was 6 years her family re-located to Pakistan in 1991. She did her O-Level from bay View High School, Karachi and her A-Level from L'Ecole College. Even as a child she loved acting and participated in school plays. Her passion for theater began during her school days and she has been associated with theater since then.

Early Career

Sanam started modeling when she was 16 and has appeared in many commercials. She has won L'Oreal Paris Award for Best Model. She was L'Oreal brand ambassador.

She accidentally stumbled into VJing when accompanying her nervous friend for an audition, stood with her and got a pilot shot done which got aired and she landed up with a job with Indus Music TV Show, Cafe Current. She and her friend were in a league above all the other presenters at the time.

After her VJing stint Sanam moved to Lahore to study at Beaconhouse National University where the pioneers of television and theater were teaching. Sanam was the member of Black Fish', one of the first improvisational comedy troupes in Pakistan. It was a stand-up comedy. She landed the role of Roxy Hart in Made for Stage Production's play Chicago' in 2009. After that she went on to play Rosie in Mamma Mia' alongside Kiran Chaudhry and Joe Viccaji.

She was the back-up vocalist in Coke Studio' season 3.

Sanam's first foray into television was in a sitcom named Saath'. It was written by Mashal Peerzada and co-produced by Adil Sher and Nasir Khan (of Talking Filmain). Though the play wasn't great, what is interesting is that, Sultana Siddiqui, the president of HUM TV, had noticed Sanam in it and she had stayed on her mind. And years later, when Umera Ahmed insisted that Sultana Siddiqui direct' Zindagi Gulzar Hai', Sultana knew Sanam would be perfect for the role of Kashaf.

Sanam made her screen debut with a supporting role in Mehreen Jabbar's serial Daam . Sanam won critical acclaim for playing the selfish, jealous, insecure, self-centered and spoilt character of Fiza. Sanam got nominated for Best new female actor in Pakistan Media Awards.

It was Sanam first performance as a lead actress. Sanam played the character Shazia a rebel ,out spoken college girl to a troubled wife who face domestic violence but fight back for her rights. Sanam character Shazia received critical acclaim.
Sanam got nominated for Best new female actor in Pakistan Media Awards.
Sanam said in a interview with Paper Magazine
"After Mera Naseeb aired, a woman came up to me and said the show had really given her strength and opened her eyes on how to deal with her own marriage."

The drama serial is inspired by Indian author Arundhati Roy's 1997 nove l'The God of Small Things''. Sanam played the character of Bibi the bitter and troubled single mother of twins. Talkiyan is a story of a failed marrige relationship ,a love story turned sour ,fatal consequences of failed relationships .Sanam called Talkiyan her dream project. Sanam got nominated for best actress in Pakistan Media Awards.

Sultana Siddiqui's romantic drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai an adaption of Umera Ahmad's novel .she was cast as Kashaf Murtaza, a very sensible and matured girl, comes from a middle-class family background marked a departure from the glamorous characters that she had a reputation for portraying. Zindagi Gulzar Hai is one of the biggest blockbuster dramas in Pakistan TV history and created a sensation when it was released on the Indian TV channel Zindagi TV in 2014 and has been doing exceptionally well, wherever it has been broadcast. Sanam immortalized the character of Kashaf with her brilliant portrayal and it won her a lot of appreciation, accolades and awards. Also her very realistic and natural chemistry with Fawad Khan, playing Zaroon, created quite a rage and they are considered one of the best on-screen couples.

2009

Sanam played Roxy Hart in Made for Stage Production's Chicago in 2009. "It was the best thing that ever happened to me," she says with a smile that lights up the room.
"Roxy was amazing. She was this blonde, leggy, cheeky dancer, singer and murderess.
She was fun to play.

Mama Mia

2010

Sanam went on to play Rosie in Mamma Mia' alongside Kiran Chaudhry and Zoe Viccaji.

Carnage
2012

Sanam also acted in the Made for Stage production theater play Carnage' in 2012.

Dhani
2013

In 2013 Sanam returned to her first love theater and for the first time performed in an Urdu theater play Dhaani' which also starred Sarwat Gilani. Sanam played the chaacter of Ruqaiyya Jahan.The play and Sanam's performance was well received and highly appreciated.

Khel Ek Rath Ka
2013

She also performed in another Urdu play titled Khel ek Raat ka' in 2013. It was a post-modern play based on real and unreal situations around us. Sanam portrayed one of the two nameless character who share moments of nostalgia and anger in the mind games they play on each other.

Grease
2014

In 2014 Sanam once more took to stage with another Made for Stage production Grease', where she came up with another commanding and praise worthy portrayal as Rizzo.

Musical Career

Sanam Saeed had briefly appeared in third season of Coke Studio Pakistan where she sung songs "Alif Allah (Jugni)" by Arif Lohar and Meesha Shafi, "Aisha" by Amanat Ali and "Chori Chori" by Meesha Shafi as a backing vocalist.

Sanam was a part of Coke Studio season 7, but there were some technical issues with the songs and they needed to redo the song, unfortunately because of busy schedule, Sanam Saeed and Zoe Viccaji couldn't continue it.(Sanam Saeed will be back in next season hope so)

Up Coming Projects

After Diyar-e-Dil ended we have been sorely missing watching Sanam on our screens. Those fleeting glimpses of Sanam in TVCs were just not enough to satisfy the fan in us. But now our wait is over and Sanam seems all set to enthrall us with a variety of avatars in her forthcoming movies. Here's a list of some of her upcoming movies that awaits us.

Bachaana

Currently Bachaana is the most anticipated movie and the unprecedented response that it's trailer got have just added on to moviegoers enthusiasm. All eyes are set for 26th February 2016 when the movie finally hits the silver screen. Sanam is all set to make her debut on the big screen with Bachaana and promotions are in full swing. Bachaana, in Sanam's own words, "a romantic comedy with a bit of adventure." She is paired opposite her Firaaq co-star Mohib Mirza. The movie is directed by Nasir Khan and produced by Rizwan Saeed under the banner of Big Film Entertainment and HUM Films are the co-producers.

Rehm

Another exciting upcoming movie is Rehm based on William Shakespeare's play Measure for Measure. It is all set to premier at the Cannes' Film Festival before being released worldwide. Sanamplays the protagonist Samina and elaborating on the movie and her role, Sanam says, " Rehm is an adaptation of a Shakespeare dark comedy. Although it falls in that genre it is not comical by any means. It is a story on social issues. Morals, corruption and ultimately forgiveness. I play a pious girl whose brother is wrongly accused and the only way to save him is through unspeakable act she can not go through with. " Other than Sanam the movie cast includes Sunil Shankar, Sajid Hasan and Nayyar Ejaz.

Mah-e-Meer

The stalled Mah-e-Meer too is expected to release in the first half of 2016. The film stars Fahad Mustafa, Iman Ali, Sanam Saeed, Manzar Sehbai, and others. Sanam portrays the supporting role ofNaina Kanwal, a Shaaira who as stated by Sanam is "pompous, sophisticated, conniving woman...an interesting character."

Azad

Rehan Sheikh directed movie Azad is a lighthearted exploration of the idea of freedom of an individual. Other than Sanam, it stars Rehan Sheikh, Salman Shahid and Sabreen Hisbani. Speaking about the movie and her role, Sanam said, "Azad was the first project film out of the lot that I worked on. It's been a long time since I shot that. A few years I think. I play a friend or colleague of Rehan Sheikhwho plays a radio jockey. It's is a lighthearted comedy."

Dobara Phir Se

The Mahreen Jabbar directed Dobara Phir Se is another awaited movie of Sanam where she plays a supporting character. The movie stars Adeel Hussain, Hareem Farooq, Tooba Siddiqui, Atiqa Odha, Ali Kazmi, Shaz Khan and Sanam. In her live Twitter chat Sanam had said that her role in the movie one in which her fans have never seen her before. Speaking about the movie shoot and the movie, she said, " Dobara phir se ka second spell starts in Jan actually. It's a story about relationships...it is a romantic drama about 5 friends and their lives and a love story between two of them played by Hareem and Adeel. I think Hareem was very well casted for the lead role. She is a superb actress with beautiful bone structure in her face which gives her a very unique look!"

Sanam in TVCs

Even if not shooting for dramas, Sanam have done plenty of TVCs, especially since the last year and many of these TVCs have been attention grabbing and have gone viral and even in these few minutes TVCs Sanam shines and shows her versatility and amazing range of expressions.
