I'd seen, on & off, a dozen indian tv shows. They were all about a marriage of 'convenience' & the sob story (tortured by her mil) of the fl. YHM was actually an absolutely unexpected show. It was a pleasant surprise to see such a novel story being played out on screen. Here the characters had purpose, they had substance & they added value to the story. Things felt so in tune with the real happenings of life. Needless to say the effortless ease with which KP-DT pulled off IshRa & they're perfect mannerisms was a treat to the eye.

YHM was bliss

You know in almost all Ekta serial the leads come together due to some kind of contract, as you mentioned 'a marriage of convinience' and so was the case with IshRa yeah i agree the reason was completely hatke from others.. it was our angel Ruhi.
But the thing which drew me to IshRa was the fact that even though the couldn't see each other in the eye and fought like cats and dogs they never ever denied the fact that they were husband and wife unlike other tv show couples i have watched. They never talked of getting seperated, about going seperate ways. Its as if they always knew that they are meant to be together for ever. They have always fought the world for each other.
Like when Raman beat up Param outside the court and shouted at Ishita yelling biwi ho tum meri. The riot scene when he almost confessed to Ishita that he won't be able to survive without her. When he had to give up his position as the head of Delhi enterpreneur association for Ishita's licence he declared to Shagun and Ashok k mere biwi k sadke aisi 100 positions kurbaan.
And when Ishita took the huge risk to get Raman his position as the head back. When in the spa she told shagun that she will never give up what she has got and what now belongs to her. During the girl child track Ishita was the one to stand by Raman and show Ruhi what the truth actually was..!
During these times they were not in love but they definitely knew that no matter what they wont ever seperate

I loved the promo of IshRaRu with khanoshiyaan playing in the bg. But I still did not watch the show thanks to my past experiences with BT shows.
But episodic promo where ruhi is asked by judge who does she want to stay with Shagun mamma or pappa, the innocent child chooses Ishita aunty😳 dat bold me over. Then came in ishraru magic n now ishra chemistry 👏has caught me in the trap.
Even evil spirits n crocodiles are not able to free me now.

my mom liked the show and she used to ask me to watch it.. I always excused because of lack of time. One day just felt like lets see whats so great about this show. That was the beginning of November 2014 (shagun's wedding) when I started watching yhm. And u can guess y I fell in love with it.. the ishra chemistry.. I was like haawww they are so adorable.. I think the first episode I watched was when ishita was telling ruhi after mehendi that they won't go to any more functions and ruhi saying she wants to go to eat gulab jamun or something.. that was what I found adorable of course along with ishra .Then watched it from episode 1 whenever had time 😉

and I'm still watching it because of the same reason.. just addicted like most people here

Loved the acting, chemistry of the ensemble cast, realism, simplicity, sensitive issues covered (infidelity/infertility), multi-dimensional characters, intentionality of the dialogs, and most importantly the semblance equality between the leads.

...all these were truly unique to Indian TV & made me really fall for my first desi show after watching at least 50 others on & off.

I watched the Mihir sagaii track first and just was blown away by the balance between leads and simplicity of plot execution by the fab cast!

I liked ishita's character potrayal a lot.She was a self made woman.
Inspite of her personal problems(infertility),she showed that she had normal feelings like every other woman but did not want anybody's pity.
Most importantly she laughed a lot and seldom cried.
She showed that happiness is what we make of it.

First n foremost i liked the promo with khamoshiyan gungunane lagi but i was skeptical for two reasons it was BT SHOW .they are quite famous for torturing their viewers with stupid twist n turns .so i didnt watch for say 6 months then in april i first happened to watch that THANK YOU speech wala episode n i kinda liked it after that i continued watching but with a very skeptical mind but what i liked most was serial use to air at 11 even after that you could sleep with a smile. emotion wise heavy tracks were there but they dealt in a light manner second those 1 week spoiler used to come on friday or saturday so we were aware of what gonna happen n offcourse raman 's oneliner n ishraru chemistry was like icing on the top
