Chapter 1 ~ New Beginning
The sun rise in Mewar was special today. Not that the people had not seen the sunrise any other day, but today was something different. The sun had risen and also had the hopes of peace, of happiness, of avenging all wrongs. Their lives had seen a sunrise after a long night, a night of 20 long years.
Peace had to return now, the evil had to pay its price. It was time for the fulfillment of the Prophecy.
The Udaipur Palace
Maharana Pratap ki jai! Maharani Ajabde ki jai!
The two royals were seated on the mighty throne. Such was the splendour that even the Gods were jealous today.Pratap in his white sherwani justified the title of 'Maharana'. Ajabde matched his looks and looked like the perfect Maharani in every sense. They knew that their people were rejoicing after what seemed like eternity. But this came along with a huge responsibility- not only towards their kingdom but also towards a much larger cause-for Peace and Humanity.
Chundawatji: Khamma Gani Hukum. A messenger has come from Tulsidasji.
The name Tulsidas brought comfort to Pratap and soothed him.
Pratap : Escort him respectfully to the court.
Messenger: Khamma Gani Ranaji. Tulsidasji... He is no more. He has left a scroll that has to be left only with you.
Pratap let out a gasp. His mentor, his guide had left him alone in this world.
Ajabde knew the storm inside him and placed her hand on his shoulder to give him support.
Ajabde: The court is dismissed for now.
They both went to the room of their Poorvaj. After bowing their head to Suryavanshi Ram followed by all the Poorvaj,Pratap pressed a particular Brick on the wall and everything started reassembling. The portraits flipped,revealing maps of different territories of Rajputana. A centrepiece appeared which had a model of the Rajputana as a whole.
Shakti Singh and Chundawatji entered soon.
Pratap: Yet another clue for our victory, yet another step towards the defeat of evil.
Shakti felt proud how soon his brother had composed himself. He was a true Rajput.
Pratap(reading the scroll):
A journey you will have to undertake,
Not for you but for Mewar's sake.
To find your team you will have to look around,
To find leaders reliable and sound.
The one who has an elephant's strength,
The one who has the wittiest brain,
The one full of wisdom,
The one who might look insane.
You will have to search with the partner of your soul,
With wisdom you will have to gather these four.
With this sunrise be your enemy's sunset,
Remember the mistakes of the past ,do not forget.
There was a moment of silence. Tulsidasji's scrolls always had them thinking, lost in deep thoughts and meanings. Even the first time,when he had sent his scroll of 'The Prophecy' ,everyone was baffled. Only one lady seemed composed, only one understood its true meaning. And even today she had come to rescue them.
JB: Pratap...
A lady in white robes appeared. She looked completely stunning, no less than an angel, which she indeed was.
Pratap: Ranimaa... We have got our path, now what is the instruction?
JB: The one with an elephant's strength- that has to be someone from Merta. The kids there are taught to tackle elephants and people use them to sharpen their skills.
Ajabde: The one with the wittiest brain- that has to be someone from Bijolia. Rajputana's finest of Gurukuls and Universities are located there.
Pratap moved closer to the model.
Pratap : Fine, so I and Shakti move towards the other two unknown persons and Ajabde and Chundawatji can go to Bijolia and Merta.
JB: No Pratap, read the scroll it says- You will have to search with the partner of your soul. That's Ajabde and you won't find them without her.
Pratap was simply impressed with the way his Ranimaa could see through words.
Pratap: So now I and Ajab move towards the other two and Shakti and Chundawatji can go to Merta and Bijolia.
As they were about to leave, JB spoke:
Pratap, Ajabde... You have only five days with you. You know now I can't support the shield for more than five days.
Pratap's eyes brimmed with tears. His Ranimaa was about to leave him now. Not like before, she would leave him now forever, to be with his Daajiraj.
Pratap nodded his head and left with others. The maps and model returned to their original places once they left.
Pratap,Ajabde, Shakti and Chundawatji formed the inner circle of their administration. It was the first time a Maharani had been included, not even Udai Singh had done that before. But Pratap believed he was nothing without her, without her deep understanding and the ability to handle situations.
At present the task was huge, they had to find people whom they didn't know. But with Ajabde by his side, he knew everything would be fine.
