If there is one film of Sonam Kapoor that is worth looking forward to, it's Neerja. And the trailer that was released on Thursday matches expectations.

Neerja, as we all know, tells the story of Neerja Bhanot, the 23-year-old flight attendant on the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73. The flight from Karachi to Frankfurt was hijacked at its point of origin by Palestinian terrorists on 5 September, 1986. Bhanot was one of those who died but her heroism in saving 359 people did not go unnoticed. She has been feted by India, Pakistan and US, as the trailer points out right in the beginning.

The trailer starts by giving us a glimpse into Bhanot's private life and her bond with her parents, especially her mother played by Shabana Azmi. The shots are long and langorous. It then goes on to show the hijacking, but with quick cuts and fast-paced music which succeed in increasing the sense of tension as the tragedy unfolds.

We recently found out that the trailer of Neerja is going to be shown on the big screen along with Dilwale. As the chic and brave flight attendant, Sonam Kapoor is completely in a de-glam avatar, and it surprisingly suits her quite well.

If director Ram Madhvani has managed to maintain the heightened tension in the movie too, then he'll have a winner on his hands.
